>>117002 Except it would have. They were understaffed because they were trying to deal with so many people all at once. If you have half of those people, you're no longer understaffed because you're no longer trying to manage two waves full of three to five people all at once. Like I said, they were so busy building the roof that they forgot to build the foundation. Constant delays in 3D and outfits, The delays in getting permissions for covers, etc etc. That sort of thing wouldn't have happened if we hadn't decided that we needed 20 people in one year. The livers themselves talked about how hard it was to carve out an identity for themselves because within two months, a new wave was debuting. The acceleration hurt more than it helped
>>117003 Tbf it's more lamenting about the past rather than dooming about the future but yeah it's annoying to see the same talking points over and over again.
>>117004 Well cant cry over a spoiled milk no? This is why i’ll always say appreciate the now instead of crying about the what could have beens. They have slowed down on the hiring process these days and btb has intergrated themselves into nijien really nicely
>>117003 Sorry not trying to doompost or say it's over. It's just very difficult to feel excited when we've seen 3 back to back graduations, 2/3 citing issues with management. It doesn't help that my oshi is extra menhera lately and last night was dropping some pretty big hints that she was planning on leaving soon too. I want to be excited for whatever is happening in Japan and whatever happens with denauth but these past two months have taken a toll on me admittedly
>>117006 Absolutely. I do think that BTB are a fantastic wave and have really made a name for themselves and established a role for themselves in EN in such a short time that it's felt natural. And of course we can't change the past, it's just one of those things that is frustrating to think about. I really hope that whatever is going on gets taken care of sooner rather than later
>>117004 Should have hired more people to manage the branch to begin with then. Pure logistics fuck up. You're literally using the old "everything was great until Ethyria/Luxiem debuted" schizo narrative to somehow justify the branch's shortcomings.
>>117007 Coming from someone who watched fulgur closely, I do think despite what he said he actually graduate with a happy sendoff and he is overall happy even with his management or at least very mature about it. I really do reccomend you having another hobby like games or a series and not rely on someone’s wellbeing as your leverage of sanity anon… it wont be healthy on the long run
Enough about this shitty armchair pointing bullshit, this is a problem for management and the livers, stop shitting the thread.
>>117009 You're misconstruing my words. I am just saying that if you are going to hire so many people, you should make sure that you have the ability to manage said people. And that applies and literally any industry. Like you said, they should have hired more people for sure. But because the fact that they waited until after they had already hired a bunch of people, some of which had literally no experience as of vyuber before being hired let alone working for Japanese company, I do think that acceleration was a bad idea. I think the slower debuts have been a lot more beneficial. I think part of the reason btb is so able to just kinda fit in is due to them being the first wave in nearly a year.
>>117009 Honestly, I have been a long time proposal of branch performing way better if they just dropped around 10 mix gen livers right off the bat, slowly build them up, pulled up open audition and then just hired new people whenever they feel like hiring. I guarantee it would've been way more better approach than the wave approach we have, but oh well. I'm no manager and it's useless to think about what ifs.
>>117013 That's an interesting approach. I personally wouldn't have thought about that
>>117007 >>117008 I must admit myself that pretty much 80% of people in the branch that I watched have graduated in the past year, sadly. And BTB don't appeal to me in the slightest, no matter how good they are. Maybe I just need time as I didn't really vibe is krisis on debut and only started to loving the boys like a year later. But if Niji want me to still care about the branch, they should hire more people, and more diverse people, not just pretty boys.
>>117015 That's a completely fair approach as well. Actually krisis really grew on me as well I wasn't really a huge fan of their debuts. They felt disorganized and a bit stilted. I do think that some of the controversy around them when they debuted and the missing fourth member was to blame for that but kind of like you, about a year later I really started to enjoy them. I still don't watch Bandage as much but both Willy and Vanta have a fun sense of humor that I enjoy a lot. Especially Willy because he just goes along with being this sort of punching bag
>>117012 My whole point is that slow debuts wouldn't cure mismanagment, there were much deeper issues than just "they debuted too many people man, we would mog Hololive if it was just Lazusydia for 5 years".
Always find it funny that guys always have an aversion to pretty vtuber boys unlike jp fandom even here
>>117018 I don't think they are bad, they just don't appeal to me. I've watched Freo a bit, he seems fine and has cool taste in games, I also like Zeal's music, but that's it so far
>>117018 i don't get it either
>>117017 You're literally putting words in my mouth to make a shitty strawman argument and your entire argument is >they were mismanaged due to management being completely overwhelmed but having less people wouldn't have made management less overwhelmed and totally wouldn't have fixed things. This argument is pointless regardless since it's not like anyone can change the past
>>117018 It's a shame, if someone is entertaining gender shouldn't be an issue. They are always giving it all despite everything and just want people to have a good time
>>117021 You argue that it was pure short staff issue, my argument is that core staff was just incompetent as fuck.
>>117018 I'm a wilsonner technically wdym
>>116856 grab your favorite streams or all of them while you still can, rewatch them and remember the good times. it'll get easier, and she never has to die as long as you keep her alive in your heart you don't have to give her up just because she graduated, and there's always the kotoka general for vodposting
>>117018 I unironically think it's about latent western homophobia. Not in the "ugh gays bad" sense of politicized 'phobias', but the literal (maybe still slightly political) fear that "watching pretty boys makes you gay" this still manifests as daddyfagging for male flesh streamers. Obviously if they're yumepandering super hard then it's not going to be appealing, but Vanta & co having a UN debate about which monstergirl they would fug is something that only male vtubers would be able to sincerely talk about.
>>117026 I'm fine now, actually. She seemed happy when she announced it, so I'm fine and fever has stopped already. Sad, obviously, but I'm fine. If she wants to delete all VODs, so be it. I'll respect her decision. I still have memories, those will never go away.
>>117027 I don't really care about their look, really, I just don't find their personalities and content appealing to me specifically. Like I used to watch Ike before, he was cool, I had fun time with his streams, never cared that he looks "gay" or whatever.
>>117018 I am one of them kind off as I don't usually go looking for their streams, but i also have no problems watching collabs or the few streams that interest me, when it is music related I liked Ike a lot and Zeal is also pretty cool
I'm rewatching some of her covers and this hits hard especially since next month is.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNwwKq6vFS0
>>117031 Yeah I'll occasionally watch krisis by themselves, haven't really had a chance to watch btb but they seem fine. I'm just a fan of cute girls doing cute things tbh
