Vent thread Anonymous 06/16/2025 (Mon) 19:47:14 No. 125451
Thread for discussions about your pet peeves and other problems, be civil.
>>148289 i think his jokester and zoomer humor made people underestimate him big time when he is probably one of the most emotionally mature out of everyone (i know i can say this because even my oshi can handle things badly and have the grace of a rock when dealing with emotional matters)
>>148292 I think him and fuuchan both were very mature
So.... Was there even any point in that collab besides publicly licking Doki's ass? He didn't even address anything to his fans. Looks pointless and pathetic ngl.
>>148265 I'll always have enormous respect for Yugo because they never said a single bad thing about Niji, be it livers or staff, and always said that everything was just their fault. I know a lot of people didn't like them collabing with Doki, but they never talked shit about anybody and was just chill about it. Knowing how Yugo is, I would just pull it on ignorance over malice as they've always extremely open person about his issues and grievances. And hell, they pretty much distances themself from Doki long time ago, and with how shitty her fanbase is, I can't blame them. Koto too. Honestly, with how shit EN is, both fans and vtubers, I really can't blame her for only hanging out with JP livers for most of the time, and not wanting to reincarnate to stream anymore. Shit like this happening just nails how streaming in EN space is just no fun and horrible for everybody. Sad, but it's understandable.
>>148278 Meh literally all people that criticize him are not his fans. People are pissed off at him, especially kindred as he's being the source of harassment towards Vox right now, and it's totally valid. Hard be silent when your oshi has been a punching bag for years at this point.
>>148319 I dunno I've seen a few different people. I think this is one of the more noteworthy tweets I've seen tonight though https://x.com/yuki17616506/status/1985575977091809573 I feel like there's a good portion of his fanbase that aren't pleased with how things went down
>>148331 >>148332 >>148333 You know shit is serious when Japanese fans of all people come out of the woodwork to talk about it on their public accounts... Most of the time they stay anonymous either through means of a burner or through anonymous sites like 好き嫌い. I can't blame them though, even I wouldn't be able to maintain a calm facade on the surface against this bullshit.
https://youtu.be/9Gw9bokSInA Someone translated the beginning of their stream in japanese. The comments are as (You) expect
>>148335 I'm seeing Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and several en fans talk about how disappointed they are in him and how they feel like they were misled when it comes to his character. https://x.com/ananab96/status/1985483491543581078 I don't know if there's going to be a ton of actual quilldren left to support him after today. I think people are kinda pissed at him.
I will just point out the elephant in the room which majority of people either don't want to acknowledge or are too stupid to acknowledge: there wasn't a single thing that warranted a public apology from him. No beef, no disagreement, no jabs, no argument, no insult, nothing. The only 2 things that he can be apologizing for are: 1) Him just being present in the black screen stream. Mind you he never said a single bad thing there about her, just asked people to be civil and don't harass anybody 2) Being in Niji overall and not graduating sooner. Needless to say that both option just throws under the bus people that are currently in Niji, in one way or another
>Wake up >Multiple tweets even in JP calling Ike out https://x.com/112adoy/status/1985568146661744902?s=19 https://x.com/P1KA_666/status/1985548458292564371?s=19 https://x.com/ananab96/status/1985480289565704323?s=19 https://x.com/ananab96/status/1985481142661980627?s=19 That last one is my favorite, since it outlines the EN playbook for graduations perfectly. This REALLY backfired on him, people are tired of this shit and Doki is radioactive to any Nijisanji fan. https://x.com/ReconditeArcana/status/1985435871135613188?s=19 This one bothers me, not the tweet itself but what he says and how its a trend among EN's. So many of them got incredible opportunities and indeed owe their current success to nijisanji, but they never acknowledge it, very, very few EN livers talk positively about having been a part of Nijisanji.
>>148348 The apology thing is a performance, that little eunuch was too scared to come back knowing he was in the black screen stream and decided to go and beg Dookie to "put on a good word for him" but she probably told him to create more drama to save her dying channel and make her look like a saint. So yes of course the apology thing doesn't make sense because it doesn't have to, it's literally PR for dragoons to go "oh no he victim niji bad" without tearing his asshole inside out. Why did he do it? Idk, not the smartest move when now his supporters are gonna be people that will never watch him and the ones who did are saying how much of a fucking asshole he is.
>>148331 These are few and far in between. Most of his core fanbase just flocked in to him now and forgot everything that happened before. I know he's Sweedish, but you don't have to develop Stockholm syndrome because of him.
>>148352 you’re underestimating how much asian people are fans of him ….
>>148353 Not anymore.
>>148352 https://x.com/spellwritings/status/1985636135364890866 this person literally started being in vtubing fandom because of him. Prior to the incident today, she had the oshi mark but now no more
>>148352 On a serious note without jokes, I will never understand these people with their borderline schizo attachments to the PERSON behind the vtuber, not the vtuber itself. Not even exclusive to quildren, but EN vtubing community in general. I know there's almost zero larp and you'll get roughly the same person regardless where they stream, but they still put on a performance, especially in a restrictive corpo environment with rules to obliged. I remember I was arguing with some graduation beggers on green site and I was called a retard for even suggesting that there's a difference between reincarnations and it's all just comes down to "model and name change". It's extremely retarded mindset and just like Hana said back in the day, EN just reduced vtubers to e-thots with anime avatars. Like I've been in this situations myself. I watched Nina and Kunai back in the day, dropped both rather quickly after they started to act like retards on stream and on twitter. It's that easy. Obviously, you do want to believe that a person you are watching is a good person behind the screen and not some douchebag, but at the end of the day, they are just a streamer that you spent with few hours per day. They are not your relative/girlfriend/friend and you don't know what they do off-stream. This is why you just need to reduce these people to anime person on screen and don't think hard about what they are doing after stream. JP does this. EN can't. But hey, what can I say about the community that was begging various indies to join Hololive back in 2021 like they are pokemons to collect. Nobody ever grasped the concept of vtubing to its core and it all just came down to groomers drooling over women with anime avatars because "unlike other girls, they tell me nice things and always agree with me, they are so based!!!"
>>148353 I'm more talking about EN side. Obviously, people on chinese/JP side are pissed, they aren't loveed like our fandom
>>148356 It's unironically healthier to get attached to the character instead of the person behind it, mostly because getting attached to characters is the thing weeb fandoms have done since forever and getting attached to the person is literally what fucking literal simps do with e-thots (Hana always right)
>>148356 I may be talking out of my ass, but I feel like the reason vtubing didn't work here is because the western entertainment industry is all about egos when it should be about providing good entertainment. Just look at our celebrity culture. Obviously there's still egos in the JP scene, but their culture is generally less individualistic and more about working together to create a good product, despite the differences they may have as individuals. Just talking out of my ass obviously, but I think it's and interesting point of discussion.
I'm so glad the tariffs scared me from ordering the Overture Blu-ray lmao
>>148361 you might have clocked it anon… for days I have been contemplating why does EN in not just vtubing but also fandom in general always so shit to be in and ofc, western egocentrism is part of the blame
>>148361 It's the work culture in japan and this is especially true in a company enviroment, they have respect and don't take anything for granted, westerners on the other hand don't know how lucky they are and have no accountability, if you mess up you can simply rebrand and call it a day
>>148361 Probably something with work culture and western individualism not mixing well at all with corporate work environments. I don't think corpos are great by any means, but there's truth to the growing trend of big and small corpo girls jumping ship at the first sign of being unsettled. It's probably easier to bail and play the victim in online spaces as opposed to a real job where you won't receive such a nice cushion. Plus I feel like drama and online content creation are way too intermixed over here. JP has dramafags as well, but the drama culture in the west is just way too strong. This is a side tangent, but it's so funny seeing people only just notice how forced a lot of "drama" is with the Bao and Fallenshadow stuff, calling out how some of the people pushing these things don't even watch vtubers. Like no shit, most of you welcomed these drama vultures into the space when it was convenient for your side, but now you're shocked they stuck around and they're going at anything they can find.
https://x.com/tojiilf/status/1985692434299576520 Its weird seeing the japanese cross that line.
Not sure if posting from reddit crosses the line, delete this post if needed but I cannot fathom oshing those livers and being able to feel positive let alone excited about the current situation lmao I don't think that needs to be elaborated over here.
>>148372 I'm seeing tweets from dragoons and other people trying to shift blame, claiming the fans are to toxic when poor little ikey and selen just wanted to be left alone. The hypocrisisy is just insane man.
>>148372 I'd ignore these people tbh.
I'm so pissed off at all these posts cheering on JP fans speaking out. Like why the fuck are you doing cheerleading instead of speaking out yourself? I've seen people getting pissed off but a lot still just fencesitting and give the most milk toast, neutral opinions imaginable. I hate how loveed our fandom is.
>>148380 They are speaking up, they're just happy its not just them this time. Harder to silence people when its multiple languages caling you out.
https://x.com/112adoy/status/1985568146661744902 I think some people in EN sphere didn't aware why sinosphere pissed off so much is due to this image. He said that he tried to reconcile with Doki past year and while at the same time crying during overture. For sinopshere fans there is some dissonance here. Is he fake? Is he not sincere? So many question but they only get vague answer.
>>148372 Half those people aren't actually fans they're just dramafags interested in the latest episode of their favorite telenovela. I won't claim that there aren't some quilldren who are giddy to see him but the overwhelming opinion seems to be that he's a shit person https://x.com/koh4ru_Sub/status/1985620089006408166
>>148403 I've honestly seen a bunch of people take the pen out of their name, also many clippers that used to clip him just heartbroken except for the one that also clipped Twisty, take that as you will
>>148372 I've seen Aloupeeps in the fan discord celebrating it, some people are just delusional and Ike's statement means everything's fine and it was really just management behind it all instead of him openly attacking the remaining EN livers.
