Vent thread Anonymous 06/16/2025 (Mon) 19:47:14 No. 125451
Thread for discussions about your pet peeves and other problems, be civil.
>>149203 FPS, league, and SF6.
>>149203 Nope, this girl mostly plays retro and indie games (retro is kind of a stretch, she doesn't play straight up DOS games or whatever, more like AAA slop from 00s. Kind of what Selen used to play when she was still in Niji). She does play some online games from time to time but no competitive slop like League or Apex. Also, I made it seem like she's already on a hiatus, but she's not yet. She's having her last few streams till the end of the week, so you can watch her yourself and form your own opinion.
>Checked the new VSPO girl >Looks cute >Subcount is abysmal Man, I genuinely don't fucking understand why nobody in the west watches female vtubers unless they have holo/slopconnect logo attached to them or they do some shitty incel pandering on Twitch. Like people that on paper should be popular just simply not for whatever reason, and it goes beyond just Niji girls. Is it because the whole community solely consists out of ironic weebs and incels? Is it because 90% of vtuber viewers in the West are from SEA? I can't even tell.
>>149385 Unless you suck up up to them, leech a big name or be lucky, you won't get noticed. That's all. You can thank the shitty algorithms that only promote popular shit to be even more popular and otherchan negative publicity for everything isn't good in their hivemind. The best way for "vtubers" with no connexions and no bigname boost to get noticed is to do reaction videos non stop. Good luck to do that in a jpcorp
>>149385 This is propably why I think Anycolor is holding off from debuting more alll girls wave imo. As for the VSPO girl if she can sing and do esport stuff, she'd do fine imo, at least in my book as a vsinger watcher.
>>149386 My issue is not "1 thing is popular, everything else is not", that's simply how internet works. My issue is that only this particular type of aforementioned vtubers is popular. Like yeah, you can squeeze the usual justification that Niji girls aren't popular because Niji is "problematic" or "woke" or whatever (not like any of these were detrimental to being popular to begin with), but the same excuse can't be applied to VSPO, Brave Group and hell, most of other corpos besides PC and Holo. Like there are no logical reasons why Holo viewers LITERALLY only watch Hololive and nothing else. >>149387 That girl is a Valo player, so we'll see.
>>149388 but it is. Hololive is the standard, phase is the accepted counterstandard, now that vsj is dead. Everything else might as well not exist or is for weirdos. Holo viewers are casuals for the most part, they only latched in the medium because it was what the algorithm/friends recommended, they want to talk about it to their friends. Also, having one vtuber is enough, and if they need more they don't have to look much further. Until they lose interest or lose their oshi, which is unlikely since the no-pl talk doesn't exist is EN, they won't bother.
>>149385 Vtubing in the west is as easy as Mr. Shu Yamino said: >"There's vtubers and then there's people who stream with vtuber models" and most of them are the latter because it appeals to the retarded view in the west of you connecting to the person behind the avatar, which is funny because those retards always quote news of japanese people stalking idols and whatnot yet they are in the actual parasocial route with vtubers while projecting really hard to people who see them as characters
>>149385 Sub counts are a bad way to judge someone's success. There's a whole group of vtubers who have 1 million+ subs but get less views than the people who have half that. Being a 3view is more than enough to find success. Some Indies that I watch on twitch are 3views and have enough to where they don't have to do anything but stream.
>>149390 >>149391 I get it but I don't understand why it's the west specific issue. Like JP people watch Holo girls just as much as they watch Niji and Vspo and various indies with variety of content and personality. Like nobody in Japan will watch a vtuber just because spew some "le based" opinions about immigrants and saints.
>>149439 As much as the west loves the "i like the talent, not the company" bs, they are the ones who are the most tribalist with everything, vtubers, sports, bands, etc. It's not like in japan they don't have favorites but they don't treat the other side like the scum of the Earth that killed their parents and pillaged their homes
>>149385 Hololive took a massive marketshare that holds strong, otherwise westerners mostly just watch twitch and care about twitch culture
>>149449 Well yeah, people in general do stick to 1 particular thing, I agree, but it doesn't explain why so few people watch other corpos in general >>149457 Fair but even when we look at Twitch, not everybody is cut for it. Like besides ex-vshojo and slop like Bao/Shylili/Filian/Neuro, average Twitch vtuber has low chances to get through. And honestly, besides the 3 people that were poached from us, pretty much all of Vshojo consisted out of people that break it through back in 2020 when the boom happened. They were just early to the party and grabbed the audience and market share when it was still a fad
https://x.com/NyrIena/status/1990075274604503081 Saw a quote retweet saying that it's literally Twisty lmao.
>>149517 Yeaaaaah pretty much, just needs a bit where she says she's a lolicon and her only knowledge is Blue Archive
Imma use this thread to make a personal vent I feel very disappointed lately. Nobody streams for like 90% of the day and the streams we do get, kinda suck lately. I really have no interest in most streams because they're either some kind of slop, zatsu or something like Pokemon z-a. There's so little desire anyone has to try new things lately and it's kinda killing my interest. I still tune in and send donos or supas to show my support but it's rough.
>>149385 Brave are just terrible at marketing
>>149657 That's because they have so many groups they don't really give a shit about any of them unfortunately.
Apparently the parrot's goons mass reported Finana's ASMR and got it taken down. Fuck these people, man, why can't they leave her alone, she already has a lot going on with college and her family, how is this not targeted harassment? How can people like him still have a platform, this fucking community sickens me, man. I'm sorry, I'm just really fucking angry right now
>>150358 Hopefully anycolor will be able to get it back up but in the meantime, fight fire with fire. Mass report his video for targeted harassment.
>>150358 Wish someone would shank him on the street and cut his tongue. In other matter, was it archived? Because i have 2 Finana ASMRs and idk if maybe it's one of those. The titles are >【ASMR】 Experimental whispers... >【 ASMR┆黒3Dio 】わらわが癒やしてあげるね whisper _ sleep inducing
>>150365 Ngl I kinda don't like the fact that it's archived, cause now people are gonna be able to watch it without giving her any support, the whole point of that ASMR was that it was a passive source of income
>>150366 Ehhhh it only works as passive income when you're constantly doing it. With finana she's not done anything in years I can't imagine it's been earning her a ton of passive income
>>150380 Is a 1+ million views vod that's still getting views not a lot of passive income? I have no clue how youtube works
>>150388 I don't remember it having over a million views but if it did , I'm pretty sure it was already age restricted which kills a lot of its advertising value. Over 3 years she probably earned less than 3-5k and half of it went to anycolor. Not bad by any means but it's not like it was making her rich either. ASMR can be rewarding and it's how Millie stays afloat too (that and Pinkerton but still), it's lot more reliable for income when you do it regularly.
Little personal rant. It's actually nothingburger, but Alban always wear his least good outfit when streaming, even though he has other outfit that suit him better :( For me its's cozy outfit > casual outfit > japanese outfit > default outfit > suit outfit > prince outfit
>>150406 I think anons should be more comfortable talking about the little things that annoy them from time to time. I don't watch Alban but I'm happy people here do.
>>150380 >>150388 >>150403 You guys act like Anycolor doesn't pay them salaries lmao. It's not vshojo, they will be fine.
It's pretty much evident at this point that we aren't getting any new waves this year. I would say the next window of opportunity is early February, so we'll see how it will turn out.
>>150420 I am curious too if we're getting any new EN wave for the fiscal year. Even on the JP side, they've only debuted 2 waves so far, it seems they've massively slowed down compared to past years. Only five months left.
>>150419 I don't think anycolor does pay salaries.....? but regardless, I don't doubt she'll be fine. That's what I've been saying, a single struck vod won't impact her revenue a whole lot and likely wasn't earning her much money anyway, despite the views.
>>150420 I've personally got my money on March. I think they'll likely hire based on the auditions for new make livers that they put out and they'll be officially IN during December or January and debut in either February or March. But idk anything that's just my guess!
>>150406 Also, with how often he wears maid assets, I really hope he gets tracksuit maid for the next outfit. Tracksuit maid with shorts if possible and it will be really good if his model is sitting so it doesn't look like he is 175 cm :)
>>150423 They do and I'm tired of this retarded narrative that they don't. Not-Hex talked about it on stream during his tangent about Vshojo, and if you don't trust him, Reimu talked about it on stream when she was still in Niji. Them not paying anything and livers living through donations and merch cut alone NEVER fucking made even a little bit of sense and this whole narrative comes directly from /vt/. No, seriously, every "source" only comes down to /vt/ and only comes up in "Yeah, Hololive pays salaries, Niji doesn't" types of conversations with zero elaborations. It's one of those catalog narratives that somehow people in /NijiEN/ accepted as the fact without even trying to question it. But hey, people there also believe that Levi has a side porn account, so I shouldn't be surprised as they have collective room temperature IQ.
>>150424 Well, there's a clear pattern for EN so far: no debut overlaps with anniversaries. November's almost over, so it's out; December is full (Xsoleil and Luxiem), January is really unlikely as it's mostly vacation month in Japan, so the next most likely period is beginning of February before Noctyx's anniversary. The auditions wrapping up recently has been quite sus too, which would line up with February. I also add for female wave beggers, there's actually some chance for it to happen, as that audition that wrapped up was mixed gendered. We got by the beat out of it with only male debuts, so they would've done something with female auditioners. It still can be a mixed gendered wave again or females could've been scrapped, so don't put your hopes up.
