Agreed with the anon that mixed gender debuts early on would have been good, maybe with more waves. I think trios is the best number for a debut group though. "Too many debuts" is kind of a useless worry though, Nijisanji has always been criticized for "flooding the market" or whatever, ever since the begining. That and 2D being a flimsy paper or disposable chopstick substitute for 3D. Even before 2019 batches, 1st/2nd/Gamers/Both Seeds were a lot at once, mixed gender. Amount of people debuting in a vicinity has never really equalled channel success rate or fanart numbers since that was brought up though. I think the tenor was set up at the start to expect another slow Hololive debut amount (the English audience wasn't there for their Gamers-3rd Gen 3 month 8 people pace, and doesn't watch Stars that they started out with 9 in half a year, before the they slow downed after the former blew up). Also, with Pomu complaining about feeling like she was gonna be abandoned by her audience every time a new debut announcement happened early on. And with 3D pace, outside the AR Live cancellation/delay, how quickly do people think a lot of early JP livers had gotten their 3D debut? Number of them at 2/3/4 years in. Kind of considered that as originally an advertising gig for a Live2D app, that you'd take more interest in the new visual medium and OBS possibilities, and they don't even do handcams. I did think Ethyria being neglected was misrepresentative even in 2022 though, Millie and Nina had more sponsorships than Petra, even Reimu had more than Luxiem. People should actually look at numbers of merch releases and stuff (outside of that missing half-anni of course). Had Enna going "where's my brand deal song" right after her one with Crunchyroll-hime and Millie. The audience and lives are really selective and ahistorical about what they focus on or are concerned about.
