100% agree, people have been here for years (with free therapy these days if needed), and anxiety and shyness hasn't gotten any better. I think the main thing with Doppio is his internal clock is completely different from everyone else so schedules run haywire. I like Rosemi as support and Shu as like technical commentary, Petra along with others previously mentioned as interpretors. Would be fun to see a non-video game tournament. Feel like anything which requires skills and practice the EN people often don't do, staff-organized Tekken a notable exception.

The convo started around chatting/non-video game collabs in the branch, then an anon brought up that Yugo did those, then how there aren't many of the former these days and also cross-branch group stuff either. Also, like I mentioned earlier, JP livers who express interest are often ignored out of EN shyness. So I don't really get your point.

Selen did not get nervous or shy to the extent of stopping collab opportunities, that's true. But also she didn't put in the effort to meet people half-way, like Kanae crammed English after their first Apex collab and she could remember perhaps three Japanese words. Also, the Tekken tournament was staff? Nobody wanted to do staff-organized Mario Kart early on in the branch, a lot of voiced stuff staff organized got made fun of (the writing wasn't good, but you can change a writer and the liver acting certainly wasn't up to par either), Minecraft server merging was staff run but EN wanted to host it on their own, etc. I would not bring up Selen and needing approvals in the same paragraph either, like it's a Japanese company and somehow the JP livers are able to manage just fine for approaching a decade now + Doppio or in other ways Maria, like for music covers.

Ya, lotta management-related posts past while have just been ahistorical bad takes instead of meaningful critiques.
