It's time.
>>60645 They're very short backstories of certain characters and doesn't affect the anime too much. These are the guys the ONAs are based on if you want to see it. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLSZ9gA5Ha-00zvoXHVgl5wWU0JIBh-5SM&si=K8Gr55yIxj6SLNx_
>>60852 Their backstories seem miles better than what the anime is doing. Wish they went completely original like the Bahamut anime rather than the literal game mechanics.

Anybody else shipping the Kowloon faggots?
>>60911 I love women mangaka for making heterosexual males uncomfortable.
>>60926 Female mangaka (and a few rare bisexuals like Noda and probably Obari) are the only hope for homofags. Everybody else will at best write a good m/m chemistry on accident but tear it apart the moment they notice that people are shipping them.
>>60869 The next episode should be a Blue Brothers story episode based on their story. So maybe we can expect a bit of story episodes as well.

So judging by the interview of the director of Hero X we will get a good bunch of scenes with original Nice and therefore the gay friend-enemy as well. This will probably provide a good chunk of shipping fuel.

The grey halfchan captcha are even more annoying than the usual ones, can't even use the auto-solver add-on with that. Just another reason to stay here.

>>62348 It's a shame everyone went back considering the jannies are still retards that don't care about the place's issues nor want to fix them. Anyways, I found this on a MAL award list or something and it's already on chapter 68. I'm surprised since most BL doesn't longer than a dozen of chapters or so.

>>62365 Yeah I don't get it either. The homo thread isn't even up right now, so I guess that most are just posting into shounen generals or something because I have yet to find a single 4chan thread to discuss anything since it returned. Besides a few weekly seasonal threads, that is, but those are at best vaguely homo related considering that even in case that a show has actual homo potential you cannot mention it because it triggers the underaged basement crusaders.
>>62550 >The homo thread isn't even up right now The homo thread is still up. But I am also surprised at how few people stuck around.
>>62550 >because I have yet to find a single 4chan thread to discuss anything since it returned sad but true
From the previews, maybe better gay material next episode.
>>62590 Damn, you are right. Didn't know there was another one. First thread I have seen after the board came back again did die after a bunch of shitposts. Well I guess anons will use the faster moving 4chan thread while it lasts and hopefully return here to discuss things in peace in the slower threads. That's at least what I do.

Where is everybody posting when there is no homothread on halfchan /a/? Please don't say FC I am not a fan of that and nobody there is watching seasonal series anyway.
Having the power to post videos with audio is very dangerous. The radio show ended up being super short (about 9mins), but had a few funny details, like they had to host a late night talk show at noon because of Rikai. Iori was the usual Iori but I'm starting to really appreciate his actor's delivery and how emotionally volatile he can be. He throws a tantrum at one moment, switches to a perfectly sensible instructive tone, then gets aroused the next. The song/MV is about what was expected, except far as I saw nobody guessed they'd involve real children. That's going to be strange to explain when they grow up. Still no news of S3. This comment on the radio made me chuckle, but there's a bunch of joke theories now. Everyone is coping hard. I hope Gumbo's release date being in September doesn't indicate just how long we have to wait for new episodes, but it's apparent now that it'll just be group songs and the manga exclusive songs compiled. No new breaks. No Tora. There's only so much disappointment I can pave over with brainrot, but I'll try.

Wish the gamer menhera had had more screentime, that anime was nice. And I loved that they used actual crappy pixelated CG for the in-game scenes. >>65427 Even after skimming through that video I have no idea what this is supposed to be about. If I google gumbo I get some cool recipes for stew though.
>>65438 How does one have a weeb hobby without knowing kana.
>>65438 Ah shit, I got so used to speaking into the void that I forgot to name the series in my ramblings. It's Charisma, a visual audio drama about a group of mentally ill men living in a houseshare. This music video was their Children's Day release, and the first time the Karichuma kiddy version of the characters did a whole song, so they're all putting on their cutesiest voices. Gumbo is the name of the third album that's on preorder at the moment. Usually they release albums at the end of a season, so this new compilation album is an outlier and putting fans on edge during the long hiatus. We have no idea what they want from us now: we're getting random songs, media appearances, another cafe, and endless merch, now this radio thing where they asked for letters and barely read any. We just want to see the Charisma boys fight off the American scientists and fully include S2's new character in their antics. >>65610 To be fair, as someone who has to search "カリスマ" a lot, it's not a good, specific word for websearching. You get a shitload of random unrelated results and confusing answers. That's why their social media accounts use "charisma__house", since it was impossible to get a recognisable username otherwise.
I wish I was able to enjoy the current Gundam more. It is certainly decent and it looks fantastic. But it's still missing that certain something to make it non-forgettable and I wish the other faction would do something instead of commenting streams for a minute per episode and coming to the same conclusions about the MCs and their robot. >>65610 Know Japanese but admit I don't like chibis and tbh hate that type of voices and music so I instantly closed the video when the audio started lol Looking it up thanks to >>65686 I realize that the art style and designs are actually pretty cool (I assume they usually aren't chibis). Don't like idols, celebrities and music multimedia projects though, so it's probably nothing for me which is why I didn't know it before. I am even too autistic to get the point of Miku.
>>66036 >Don't like idols Man, everyone says this like clockwork. I just like comedies with deeper emotional connections between characters, and Shu Matsubara seems to hit the right notes for me since I liked Osomatsu and Classicaloid before this. Charisma is honestly his stronger work though because it's been allowed some long term character consistency, contributing to the overarching plot. Admittedly I didn't like the music when I first looked it up, but I didn't realise it had in-episode context, and the character songs weren't meant to be stand alone pretty whatevers. Since the magical boy transformations are paced about a 45-60mins apart they make good stopping places narratively, there's a build up and then character development each time, so it's like having an ED at the end of an arc since the actual OP/ED on episodes is just a few seconds of SFX and voice over. The gag songs also feed you information about the plot and characters - but it was way more orderly before the current hiatus. That's what makes it strange since S3 should start with fourth wall breaking Fumiya's verse giving a summary of what the season's plot is, but they're releasing these songs with no obvious spoilers so everyone's going nuts trying to find connections with S2's post credits scene. >I didn't know it before Homothread did discuss it when it was announced, some months before the first episode came out. Everyone ripped it to shreds and concluded it was shit based on the designs. Now there's an anon who says something about "eyebrow fetishes" because they don't like Ebimo's art style. I guess I can thank fish for that since she reposts High Card screencaps every week. I know there's no point in it since the one other Charisma anon isn't here, but I'm just going to indulge myself in laying out a theory about the hiatus. I think Evil Line is trying to squeeze money from Charisma after seeing its popularity, but because there's no gacha or disc sales to speak of, and the manga is all limited print run, they're trying to rely on the only thing they've got: youtube views. Gag songs trend easily and net them around 2-4mil views, and for every thousand views there's going to be at least someone who ventures onto the show itself and buys some of the copious arcade merch they've been spamming lately. Overall music tagged uploads are far more cost effective to them than 3-12min long episodes, because those don't get you streaming money these days. Amahiko's character songs alone probably make them more revenue than 107 episodes of story, which is why they've done daft shit like making an 8hr long video of the entire series. But the algorithm favours interaction so shitposts with tons of "I'm scared" and "what is this" comments are the most successful. There's a real chance S3 will be divided into longer episodes so the algorithm and revenue are more rewarding, but would they get the same hundreds of joke comments on the day they're uploaded? Won't the "thank god it's finally here" talk wear down and stop after a couple episodes? Releasing unrelated songs will still be more tempting to corporate who've let them do stupid freebie shit until now. Last week they released a promo clip of Charisma on stage at the King Records Super Live or whatever it's called and it's amazing how unprepared the audience is. I wish I could hear what's going through the heads of the staff when Charisma is just Charismaing like usual but in front of hundreds of uninitiated music fans. They need to really think about how they're selling this, because the only reason the music has drawn people in beyond the video game references and memes is because it uses popular folk songs and nursery rhymes as earworms. The true joy is knowing the characters and hearing them talk about themselves, and the Pizza Party song forgot that in favour of Tetrix and more silly animations. It was too blatantly an advert for a cafe selling pizza. Get your shit together, Evil Line, and give us those backstories. The Anime Japan bits weren't bad in retrospect, but it says something that their biggest appeal was forcing HypMic actors to perform live strip teases, whereas the HypMic stages were dull as standard. Anyway, Death Game best song followed by Death Summit and Den Den Death Fight. What do you mean biased? This is just the truth until Torahime gives Prof Nakagami his best break up song.

>>66716 I'm here (I think). I just mostly lurk and consider myself a niwaka fan with Charisma so I don't really comment on it but I do enjoy seeing your posts about it. It's possible that Matsubara was and still is busy with S4 of Osomatsu so it probably got prioritized over Charisma. S2 got kinda plot heavy and they might be having trouble with an overarching plot for S3 because of that? Did nips like even like Torahime? I know I did but I'd been worried that they might think his addition is breaking the original group or something. He was technically spying on them for some time. Anyways, I think the music shit is just easier for them to do, so they're doing it to keep the series alive until they can release S3. Waiting at least 2 years for another season doesn't seem strange to me if they didn't have plans for it to be popular. If they're releasing songs at all it means they've been to the recording studios quite often, so maybe they've already started recording parts for S3? Who knows. I'm no where near as fanatic about Charisma as you are (I don't care much about the music stuff tbh) so that probably attributes to why I'm not so rushed to see S3. But I think they just need more time.
>>66918 I had a premonition I'd embarrass myself and yet I still dared to rave like a loony, fuck. Thanks though. I'm afraid I'm going to do it again. >busy with Osomatsu I mused on that a while back, it seems like the most sensible conclusion, but the more comments I see from Japanese fans the more I feel like the timing of these new releases is either poorly planned or actually going somewhere. If you put it in context: S1 ended in October 2022, and S2 started in March 2023, that's going by song releases that tied into the story, and gives you about half a year gap. During that gap they did a concert, and released a CD and a bunch of merch, with live appearances from the voice actors announcing S2's release date. In particular they did a couple days at AnimeJapan to promote the date. S2 came with so much activity, the episode releases weren't always consistent, but there was a stage play and a concert during it. After it finished in April 2024 we got another concert, and two more stage performances. Nobody found this unusual, everyone treated it like the previous gap. We were fine waiting while they fed us other things. Then as we near a year since S2 ended they start to release plushie range after plushie range, and increasingly ugly keyrings. A song is announced, everyone gets excited theorising that Torahime might be on the song because they promised him a birthday party. Song comes out, it's a promo for a pop up shop and cafe, has no Torahime, has no individual verses for the boys, it's lacking. We get more plushies but this time they're sitting. Then even more TINIER plushies in gachapon. The voice actors appear at AnimeJapan, everyone in the stream comments is expecting a S3 announcement just like S2's promos. They announce an even MORE expensive plushie set, limited run from the King Records online store. And a song for a pop up shop and cafe. The stream live comments were full of disappointed comments about S3. The fans were dormant, happily doing their own things, and then they got riled up with the hope that something was coming. I'm guilty of it too because I've been reading so much of the discussion and watching wave after wave of artists trying to fill in Torahime's silhouette with what his fullbody outfit might be. It really seemed like they were gearing us up to have our eyes on the channel, but instead we just got told buy more stuff. And not even by Fumiya! Let him talk directly to us and we'll be placated, Ono Yuuki wasn't even on day 1 of the AJ stage. They could have released the S3 opening song and then left us hanging for a month or two and it'd be fine because at least everyone could speculate. You're right though. The fact they're releasing anything at all means they've been in a recording booth and their contracts are active. We shouldn't be worried about S3 not coming this year, and I've seen many say they expect it to take longer to organise because the cast is expanding. I'm personally waiting to see what Charisma Torahime is (the S2 credits just said he was "Charisma of ???" and he does sing! Sing more, Tora-san!), and I expect Kida to play a role since he was the only other named and voiced grunt in Nakagami's unit. Personally, I'm being pissy because I want story, I want my speculations confirmed. Every season gets us closer to knowing why Fumiya is the way he is, and if they stay true to the pattern it's going to take several eps or even the whole of S3 before we actually get more on him. There's so much fanart and doujinshi that I feel get him wrong, and I need S3 to hit those artists with a 2x4 of truth. Also, if I can fit more words in: Torahime was really popular towards the end of S2, his love confession was a big deal, but as the hiatus has gone on he's suffered a massive drop off. There's a couple Korean artists who had dedicated twitters for art of him, posted every month if not week, and they just up and went silent around February, right after his birthday. People just don't have enough to keep them going on him right now, they're falling back on characters with more info and costumes. Nobody on the eastern side wants to assume what a Torahime break would look like. Right now the big trends are: kindergarten Charismas and "what if one half of the ship was baby" due to the latest song; the new birthday onesies and speculation on future onesies; and a continued revival of the first break costumes thanks to Culture Festival Live stage ending with all the breaks at once ("Feast of the Gods"). The S2 break costumes will probably be back soon as the Jamboree Tour concert bluray is coming out, and while Amahiko's VA was struggling with his breath, Ohse and Iori's VAs were incredible. Fumiya's VA as always stays in character the whole thing, he's ridiculous. The live ver of Rap Battle Break he steps up on one of the stage lights or something and maniacally asks the audience if this is what they came for, is this what you wanted, before turning his back to the audience and laughing. So much good art of Fumiya's evil laugh came out of that. This is what happens when you got nobody to talk to. Gomin, everyone. Shinimasu. Have some apology Tora.
>>66716 I just explained why I will probably not watch it, I didn't intent to start an argument or accusation. Not sure why it's an issue that I don't like idols. Idol stuff is popular as shit just like at Idolshit7 or what's its name or Enstars and the gorillion k-pop fangirls. I fail to see how everyone hating it. It's probably just that 4chan attracts different types of fans. That stuff is very popular on twitter and FC AFAIK. >Everyone ripped it to shreds and concluded it was shit based on the designs. I said the exact opposite, so not sure why you implied otherwise. I like the designs but no the genre/setting. I don't care about celebs and pop music in real life either. It surely helps if someone likes the particular music genre. Not liking it means listening to awful sounds and voices all the way through while watching something and I don't like hiphop and pop or whatever that genre is called (or Miku). E.g. since it's popular to hate on metal and metal regularly being reduced to black metal alone, imagine all the songs being black metal instead (though I would prefer that over pop despite not being a big fan of it). That said I simply prefer drama and action or sci-fi and history over star stuff etc blah ANYWAY what I wanted to say is that am looking forward to Re:Birth after seeing the trailer for it (I fucking hate "Re:" titles in anime). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TiqUhC4_hSg Cautiously optimistic since it looks like a passionate original action series by David.
>>66952 >>66954 Torahime is too moe. I will miss the faceless mob character look if he gets a proper design.

>brat is a brocon that pleases me
Holy shit, this site works again. I swear it's been weeks trying to load anything. Anyway we've missed Saru's birthday, and I guess he said "don't celebrate" because instead they announced another fucking stage production. This one has Nakagami cast in it but no Torahime, so presumably they're moving onto adapting scenes from the fugitive half of S2. I really hope they make room for the laboratory scene and Fumiya's betrayal. I need to hear stage Fumiya try his best to cackle evilly, I don't think he has it in him, his voice is kind of pathetic. They're going to be doing so many costume changes if his break is adapted, but thankfully keeping Torahime for a future stage means they don't have to do both. I'm a little excited to see how RBB Fumiya will behave around the others, since his saint mode was so distant and prim (and it had shoes). Gang AU is fairly popular so artists will get stirred up no matter how he is. They threw us another song with only a week's notice, reusing assets, and slapping AI backgrounds on several parts. I guess this is padding out the compilation album with literally anything. Its saving grace are the deliberate lingering camera shots on the tiny towel skirts flipping about, and that a well known EDM animator did Ohse's section. Also La Bamba is, without fail, catchy. There's some conspiracy theories going around that Pizza Party's lyrics actually explained that we have to wait until winter for S3. People trying to match the phrases in the nonsense verse to the songs we've had since and saying we're getting a song for spring, summer, and autumn. I did feel like the new song saying normalfags can stop worrying is telling us to stop commenting where's S3. I'm happier now there's more stage to look forward to because it always adds to the characterisations and it's great to see the break costumes from new angles, but I'm still mad at the continued onslaught of pointless trivia songs and plushies. There's just plain ugly merch flooding the market, and the few decent ones are prizes and collab popups only. The Sabira cafe opened, and it's nice that they got to use new ebimo art for everything, but it's still only the two sets of images reprinted on tons of things - and from the photos it seems some characters got shafted at the photo point because TERRA had to be so goddamn wide and take up most of his side of the display. You already got the best vocals, stop stealing all of the spotlight! >>67062 Oh no, I wasn't trying to accuse you of anything, I was just disappointed because I've had people bring up idol series a few times, and as far as I'm aware Charisma isn't an idol series nor does it look much like one. When I think of an idol series it usually involves teenagers in the music industry, performing on stage and managing their stardom. Charisma is a gag comedy with bullshit science fiction elements, about a group of social outcasts who end up on the run from government agents because, by living in close proximity, they uncover a power that "could solve the global energy crisis." Disliking musicals is pretty normal, which is why I was trying to emphasise that the music is less frequent than in regular non-musical anime. That was stupid of me, it's not like I was going anywhere with that and obviously parts of the plot are conveyed in the lyrics. I'm sorry if you felt the information I was giving was about you, that wasn't my intention. I was frustrated with the threads from 2021, but I didn't think that would sound like I was including you (evidently, you weren't there or didn't post at the time). Just that it served as an explanation for why discussion has been limited in the years since the series began, since people wrote it off early. Homothreads don't pay a great deal of attention to what's active in Japanese fandom, and Charisma is a very hard sell despite its accessibility. Japanese comedy is divisive, and I understand the west is put off by the characters being adults. It's just doomed to fail beyond Asia. >>67202 It's gonna take a long ass time for me to get used to it, that's for sure. I half want his charisma to be "mob" because it's part of his appeal, but at the least they could keep his eyes hidden save for a few rare sprites.
What was the gayest show of Spring 2025?
