Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha Anonymous 04/19/2025 (Sat) 14:00:58 Id: c1febe No. 25879
Even though I loved this show I never rewatched it after the first time in 2009, until last year that is. I liked it even better the second time, and especially StrikerS is much better than I remember. But damn, it was so big back then, now it feels like it's almost forgotten

>>25879 I've rewatched it several times and S1 gets better every time. The sound, directing and character writing is simply amazing. That being said, it is definitely not the type of series that would be popular in today's internet. It is a product of otaku culture made for nerds in forums to enjoy and discuss, it has very little in it for normalfags.
>>25879 Oh good a Nanoha thread! What is with that new Manga? Why is Hayate noticeably older than Nanoha?
>>26152 S1 is a gem, it's sad that the era that would enjoy it has pretty much vanished. I would like to mark when it happened but closest I can think of was maybe the early 2010s.
>>26152 >>26159 I rewatched the first two seasons for the first time in several years, and it struck me just how much more I liked s1 over A's, despite the latter being my favorite since my initial viewing
If no one saw it as well, the new series has a manga, and the first chapter was translated. https://mangadex.org/chapter/a15e3cab-f5ae-4269-aa18-c9ba2133a48a Let's enjoy 13-year-old Nanoha being a monster.

>>26212 Ahh it put them all out of order, okay there goes my idea of a storytime then.
>>26212 Kakkoi
I miss this series and I miss these characters.
>>26275 cute!

I miss pretty much everything about this series. It reminds me of being a kid again and watching all of it through one lazy summer.
>>26296 I'm glad the TSAB gave them some practical winter clothes this time around.
A lot of wasted potential. Strikers was terrible but could have worked with better execution. But they should have made multiple seasons in between. One about Nanoha in middle school, one in high school, one in college etc. All the while gradually introducing the wider world. Later Nanoha neglected a lot of the good things about the earlier seasons. Like the characters or the family scenes. But where Strikers was kind of bad everything after it was downright abhorrent. Nanoha is one of those franchises where you can really see firsthand how trends and stuff shifted over time. For the worse as far as I'm concerned. In these long-running franchises, or adaptions, remakes or sequels to older works I see reflected so many reasons why I largely lost interested in the medium in the first place.

>>26297 Here you can post the additional versions, too!
>>26212 At least the art is good but I don't have very high hopes for it. >>26155 My guess is that the TSAB is lying to the government in order to operate in that planet.
>>26390 Ah, this is the Hayate I know.
>>26315 Strikers was a great continuation but I agree they should have had another season before it, and let that be the bookend to it. That said, it makes sense that they got such a huge budget for a two-cour show and they wanted to use it on the thing they thought would make the most interest. Which paid off, Strikers is still the most financially successful Nanoha season. But yeah, in the end it wasn't worth it because they had no idea where to go from there.

>>26569 Sound Stage X, Vivid, Life and even Strike are all fitting continuations for StrikerS. What really killed the momentum of the franchise was their unwillingness to move past Force. Thats seemingly the point they have no idea where to go from. They just keep resetting the timeline instead of canning Force and giving us a proper continuation of the story.
>>26678 I'm not sure on the exact timeline but it's obvious that force should have been relaunched as an anime, but there was some stupid va drama at the time preventing nanoha anime from being made. it sucks that now that anime is being made again we're stuck with the stupid psp timeline. fucking hate p2 recolors.
Didn't the artist on Force just stop working and they refused to replace him, putting the entire franchise on hold?

>>27002 I don't know if they 'stopped working' but I know they were under a severe crunch at the time and had to pause due to health reasons, you can see Force's art start to deteriorate as their health worsened. I think they went back to work but I don't know on what, they were juggling several franchises at the time + I don't think Force was exactly a big enough money maker to consider picking back up.
>>26810 >we're stuck with the stupid psp timeline I wish. The materials are great and the games are in line with the main timeline. Its the movie retcons that are shit.
>>27269 Fate is the hottest girl anime ever created and I can not be convinced otherwise.
>Retired military robots >Just living normal lives in a village Really reminds me of those old ABC Warriors/Nemesis the Warlock comics.

>>27353 She truly is
>>27787 Not only as a loli, she's gorgeous as an adult as well.

>>27353 Nanoha is hotter
>>27904 As cute as adult Fate is, it is still a downgrade from loli Fate.
>>25879 Nanoha stinks
>>27904 These short-cut skirts being TSAB standard has to be Hayate's fault.
(380.00 KB 1280x1830 Nanoha a cuck.jpg)

>>29690 That man? Me.
>>27956 >>28061 Nanoha is hot but in an innocent kind of way. Fate is hot because you know Nanoha is forcing her to do this to some degree.
>>40034 hayate is just hot. also a predator if Vivid is to be believed.
>>40674 She was always a rapist, her victims just got younger as she grew older.
>>41551 Wow, Hayate is based.
>>25879 Nanoha smells like rotten fish, a garbage dump and cat pee. Fate's a cat.

I never cared for adult Nanoha, like at all. She was super cute and sexy as a loli, like she was arguably even more attractive than Fate since every part of her was a 10/10 instead of just butt focus. She still had a nice butt too though. Her adult form just felt like a massive downgrade, again even more than Fate.
