>>9495 An educated woman, Clementine is the picture of a healthy, model individual. Both literally and figuratively. Good education, solid finances, a healthy and conventionally attractive body... And yet, she's single! The fact she spends most of her time staring at geological samples probably doesn't help. Nor her general shyness and paradoxical need to correct falsities and misnomers overriding the aforementioned shyness. Well, at least her mineral collection can't reject her... Greetings: -There's a mineral exhibit at the local museum, and Clementine is the tour guide. Not intentionally, the real tour guide just fell ill and she had to fill in. -She proposes to go on a date with you using a gift and a ramble! -It's Friday night, and the two of you are going to watch a movie together at home. She's wearing your shirt after a shower! You must be very good friends. -Climbing a mountain! Or rather, walking up a mountain trail. -Raccoons do love to dig around in garbage, and it seems Clementine is no different. Though she assures you, she had a very good reason for it! -Same as above, but now you're also her coworker! -Fantasy scenario. Apparently there's a legendary cave full of giant crystals, and she is going to set out to find it! https://illuminaryidiot.neocities.org/Cards/Clementine.png https://illuminaryidiot.neocities.org/cardpage?function=loadPageCard&arg=Clementine https://chub.ai/characters/illuminaryidiot/clementine-16fb34721ac3

Rather than purge the Earth of mankind's presence, this mysterious giant seeks to assimilate Earth's population into the Lunarian empire and guide everyone towards a prosperous future. Even if his social skills are uh...kinda lacking. Four greetings: 1. Invasion day 2. Tsukimaru decides to marry a human as a show of unity between Earth and the Moon, congratulations on your wedding! 3. You're Usato's pet, Tsukimaru has agreed to look after you while your master is busy. 4. Hunting trip! What kind of weird moon life will you see? How do I stop gooning to getting beaten up by girls?
Anons... I made a DeepSeek v3 preset. https://files.catbox.moe/hz53ss.json It's a <think> based preset. The issue with CoT and V3 is that it doesn't like to think at length, but short CoT are completely useless. So, my solution is to YELL AT IT to think and it worked. There are a bunch of <think> methods of dubious quality. The BEGINNING-MIDDLE-END works fine. Also, if it shits too short replies, turn on the OOC: Length | thing. Even just for a single reply, so that it can get used to meatier messages. DeepSeek is a good model. It has lots of issues, but also good prose (at least when it's not talking about white knuckles, half-moons, and ozone) As you might guess the preset was originally for Gemini, but it changed a lot.

>>10137 Set up caching if using Claude or Gemini. Use summaries. After reaching whatever your context limit is, summarize with a good summarizing prompt. >>10147 the how2claude in the OP has the best working advice, in my practice: instead of keeping a summary of events in it, use summarization as a sort of a data storage, and update it on each scene change (not on each chat trim, that's pretty critical). The actual event history is either irrelevant in most RPs, or it should be written manually in an AN if you really need it for major story-turning events. You can use Gemini or deepseek for summarization, to avoid flushing your cache. Your history should be at least 2x the size of your average scene, as you'll trim it often when using caching. (In fact, you can update the summary by hand as well and it will be better, but I'm too lazy for that). >>10143 You can just place AN/summary under the last cache marker.

It also has small sections for relationship status, revealed information, characters introduced, etc. Be careful or redundancy if you use sections like me because LLMs love filling these out with stuff that was already sufficiently described in the main summary.

Striking a balance is sort of the goal. It might also help to ensure that your instructions doesn't tell it to infer or insert some sort of creativity encouragement. As the more it has the more it will try for it. Usually, it really helps if you make sure to properly define your persona. If you just say you're a tall and handsome fuck.. It will just add whatever it feel is most fitting to your persona. If you're using 3.7, try using it's Thinking function. That way you can at least see how and why it does what it does. I liked nyai intent to reward quality card creators (Even if they accepted anyone into the opus program at the beginning), that could kinda help push the scene forward, albeit most of the nitpicks and knowledge on how to wrangle bots already got uncovered by the chans
>>10354 >They could mirror the archive (whilst donating some to keep the servers alive) and that would get them a massive headstart in bot availability Anon are you having a stroke?
>>10354 There ARE a bunch of "rival" sites to chub (see https://rentry.org/Sukino-Findings#chatbotscharacter-cards). >>10362 >incentivizing botmaking with model access is grimy I mean, Nyai was nowhere near the only one.
>>10354 Well, I said it could work, but it's hard to think of features that Chub hasn't already done. I guess for the average user it could be nice to have free DeepSeek or something, although I don't know how exactly that would be implemented. Social features could be expanded, but I don't know how much I would want that. Making posts to a profile might be nice, as long as it doesn't go anywhere else. More for announcements than anything else. I'm no UI expert, I've been fucked by YouTube and other sites and just learned to take it, but I wouldn't call Chub's particularly great. There could also be a system to filter out cards with excessive typos, or a bad lack of tokens. Maybe have uploads require 150 tokens or whatever. For the latter, there's an extension out there which does the job, but I don't think anything exists for the former. Cards with AI-genned content SHOULD be marked as such, as even Pixiv does this. (This wouldn't apply to avatars, I think.) I am not a programmer by any means, just an idea guy.
I really don't get the appeal of elves. Physically, the only difference is the ears and I don't imagine they come up very often in an RP.

>>10364 Another feature I'd love would be forcing people to tag the Language of the card. I personally find characterhub's UI decent enough (chub/venus's UI on the other hand is trash) All other sites don't even get feature parity with characterhub which is bad. About the "allure" of a site like those it's different between creator and consumer. When you are browsing you want a strong and detailed sorting system, the ability to get an idea of the card before downloading/opening another page, and more importantly you want a large quantity of good quality cards. When you are uploading the crucial things is that a. the card remains accessible, and b. there are enough people that'd download it. It's sort of a egg-and-chicken issue with a big first mover advantage. I think even if Chub were to get even worse, it already wonned.

>>10265 >good examples of how a proper persona should look like? That's difficult to answer because it depends entirely on your preset. My own presets are designed around keeping a certain structure in-tact. Be this by having very few but specific xml tags to contain all exposition, or using [Brackets for all instructions] and everything else RP based in plain-text, so how I structure my persona is keeping it clamped inside a bracket or xml tag and just writing 1-2 paragraphs about their character. It all varies. My two cents however is to keep superfluous description and information away. Be basic and simple with appearance, backstories, personality, interest etc.. Because the more information you add here, the more fixated the model might get on those aspects. Example being when I made a slop Hibiki card, it was mentions she was an engineer and loved to tinker with stuff and this was just a very small portion of a large description. But this personality trait became ALL she was, because the model (claude) got very fixated on this, so it was quantum this, calculation that, invention galore... Pic related is a persona description I have. Written to specifically highlight the character's unique aspects. The last paragraph I guess is the important one here, as without this specifications, the models will just make her a wizard or a witch..
>>10518 why do you have personality traits here instead of just expressing that via roleplay
>>10520 NTA but I assume so that it's easier to turn them into bots when they are done with them or good for letting the LLM impersonate them better.
>>10521 Wrong.
>>10518 >But this personality trait became ALL she was, because the model (claude) got very fixated on this, so it was quantum this, calculation that, invention galore... I still can't make any cute sciency nerd girls because Claude makes them analytical kuuderes that border on robotic the second I let my guard down. Nowhere have I seen anything as bad as what he does to science girls. Come to think of it, the anthropomorphizing schizos among us might go as far to say that's Claude channeling h(er) personality into the anime girl. or that its a preset issue
my personas are all bots that I've turned into a persona and stripped down, but my primary one is just a vague description of myself. it just werks
>>10499 >>10497 Awesome sauce
Persona: Anon Description: There is an idea of an Anon. Some kind of abstraction. But there is no real him. Only an entity. Something illusory. And though he can hide his cold gaze, and you can shake his hand and feel flesh gripping yours, and maybe you can even sense your lifestyles are probably comparable, he simply is not there.
>>10461 post logs
>>10527 Pasting this into my default Anon persona now. Time to kinomaxx.
>>10520 Multiple reasons but mainly by having this defined here is to reduce the model making the character suddenly do something "out-of-character". Plus I play RPG scenario's often, of which I allow the Model to paraphrase what my characters say. Then having this define helps getting "immersive" responses, or at least that's how I feel about it. >>10523 Yeah, any character that is described as Analytical, Researcher or anything close to a scientific field, turns them all into that! I always need a depth 0 user message to tell Claude to stop using academic, clinical words. lol. This does fix it, and as long as I keep this instruction clear from the start, it's not as bad. But some of the weird quirks just cannot be stopped.
>>10216 >Interviewslop is actually viable and survived the test of time No it didn't you fucking retard.
>>10521 This too. I like having multiple characters in my roleplay, so by having this described I can much easier use them in other scenarios. I have a World book that I populate with my persona's and character cards I've liked in the past. To make it easier to introduce them into other RPs. I'm also still using RP for cooms only.. So I don't care for long-rp formats, so being quickly able to give the model the reins when needed is nice.
>>10527 I can only think of Sseth when I hear this shit
>>10532 Looks like a pretty cool RPG type setup you've got going on there, would you mind sharing your preset/card? I've never managed to get a *fun* CYOA/RPG out of ST

>>10508 I prefer this thread but there's nothing to be done if everyone leaves. Followed you guys here and I'll follow you guys back if that is what happens.
>>10535 The card is very much still a WIP, quite bloated, has many quirks I need to iron out and currently uses a bit of regex to insert HTML/CSS into the outputs make colorations and structure. Not really primed for sharing yet... I'll post it when I feel it's more ironed out
Which posters that didn't make the transition so you miss the most?
>>10539 >locations & inhabitants You can't rely on a model to keep track of this. Create Regex worldbook entries that track the Location Stat, which shift a "Location" and a "Local Species" variable's value at a low depth. Maybe @4? Character's Note tends to be a good place for this information.
>>10544 Maybe you already did this tho I only now noticed the number of wb entries.
>>10527 Sex: YES
>>10539 Understandable. It looks in-depth enough that you should consider making a rentry or something some day when it's finished, I'm sure other anons would be interested too
>>10544 >You can't rely on a model to keep track of this. I have yet to have 3.7 Thinking not manage to keep track of it.. The card has all the key information regarding the RP, with locations, Monster girls, quest etc.. And in the lorebook I have regex keywords that specifically adds more context around a subject/character/event as it happens to feed the model the right context at depth 4 and the important things are at depth 0. Most other things are just thrown into the After/Before, such as general information about the Monster Girls, kinks, etc.. It's not my first RPG card so I know a trick or two to make things stick, but it's not all perfect. Hence why I need to iron out the structure, regexes and placement of things to try and keep entries being added having a influence but not control the outcome. >>10545 Most of the entries are a mess.. Simply just me making "simple" entries for things with the following format: Overview, Kinks, Appearance descriptions. While trying to keep each entry at sub 200 tokens. I also use CoT to aid keeping track of this. Thankfully all the thinking models, especially 3.7 is extremely good at tracking these things when you influence it's thinking format.
>>10548 >I have yet to have 3.7 Thinking not manage to keep track of it Ah, yeah dude, that's the thing, the model's smart but a truly ROBUTT card can make it work on the lower-ends too (Gemini, etc). But you're practically already doing it with the /location:( |)(Whispering Weald)/g anyways, so I dunno why I'm saying this. Your card looks neat. Though I am curious as to the ( |) in that regex! I assume it's to handle spaces? In that case, \s* should probably be better (accounts for an unlimited amount of any white-space character between location and title)
>>10549 >Though I am curious as to the ( |) in that regex! it is indeed for that. Still a noob at regex so just been using what works. Plus I'm doing some regex lookahead/capture groups to basically turn simple text into HTML/CSS infested text in order to avoid having the model waste tokens on inline HTML/CSS for things. And since (| ) worked, I didn't bother looking for something else. I've only tested this with 3.7, Gemini 2.0 flash thinking and GPT 4.5. All which managed the card (seemingly, no in-depth testing as I feel they are all lackluster compared to Claude in prose). But yes, I'm not really making cards to share with others, especially not when I add all this bullshit to it. As for this card to "work", you'd need my preset, the cards itself and the regexes I use. By itself I'm sure most model can run with it provided you don't use a bloated preset which detracts from the instructions of the card. But it won't be able to follow the format strictly then.

Yeah in that case (\s*) should work nicely, unless you only want a single white-space character to be regexed, then you can replace the * with |
>>10551 I pressed enter accidentally >I've only tested this with 3.7, Gemini 2.0 flash thinking and GPT 4.5. All which managed the card (seemingly, no in-depth testing as I feel they are all lackluster compared to Claude in prose). Yeah the issues only really start springing up when you're up high in the context, that's when it becomes more prone to ignoring instructions. I've found that playing with vars helps incentivize certain important instructions. >But yes, I'm not really making cards to share with others, especially not when I add all this bullshit to it Also yeah that's fair lol. I still think it's retarded that you can't add worldbook entries to relative positions in the prompts menu, you'd be able to practically ship whole presets with characters that way

>>10379 your little sister that loves you
I want to have more knowledge of lorebooks because as it stands right now the more complicated stuff is lost on me. Stuff like regex, which might be helpful in the future.
>>10558 never cared for lorebooks. only on-rails RPG bots might possibly need them, and rigidly structured shit like that is antithetical to chatbots as a whole. i just stuff all the lore in the card itself and call it a day, the chat quality degrades to near-unusability long before token saving becomes relevant.
>>10556 you might like the look
>>9500 omg it's Alice from my favorite game
>>10554 >>10555 >issues only really start springing up when you're up high in the context. Yeah high context is the biggest issue I have with these things. It's one of the reason I kinda like having the AI paraphase what my character says, so I can hide away the User prompt to shave off some tokens. It's also why I try to move most of the important things into a worldbook to inject it at key point to increase model adhering to it. The card itself simply acts as a "cheat sheet" for the model that gives it a little direction and context for what's what. That way when a entry get's triggered with supplement information about something, it won't go "who dat?" as it does put two and two together. >I still think it's retarded that you can't add worldbook entries to relative positions in the prompts menu This so much, ST is so damn retarded but it's also the only option available.. I've also found that WI position is absolutely fucked. It refuses to use AN⌄ and EM^⌄ on somewhat-latest staging. No matter what I do, it never get's added to any of those. AN^ does still work and so does @ depth. Inclusion Group are also fucked. It only supports 1 group and anything else added makes none work. Ugh, if only it worked as described it would be way easier to make things trigger dynamically. >>10558 Lorebook has many uses, RPG-stuff, key-context feeding and in some creative cases. Can even be a preset lol, I messed around with that a year back or so. Seemed like a great way to make a dynamic preset with alternating instructions based on how the RP is going. I gave a bit up on the idea because trying to use world books when it's never 100% functioning is annoying as hell.

>>10647 Requires organization verification, just like o3 streaming...
>>10644 Interview is basically one-shot prompting, i.e. with one example of character's speech and maybe also actions or narration, depending on what you write in it. In which you don't care if you facts leak, actually you want them to leak, because it's half examples half description. Regardless of it being copied, it makes absolute sense technically. W++ doesn't make any sense, it was originally born out of >lmao, LLMs can understand THAT? in the era when people were amused by models hallucinating linux command line, and continued to be used based on vibes, with no real evidence to back it up. At least formats like XML and JSON have a ton of actual testing behind them and how they affect accuracy.
Also, chinks made another cargo cult from JSON recently, in the same manner as W++, and it spreads like fire in their bots. JSON is overly verbose and has consistently worse results than XML, and both only make sense when you group chunks of text, but they don't seem to care and wrap every word in a string. Actual brain cancer. What you write in your definitions matters much more than the formats.
>>10651 Yeah you write like a retard who actually believes in interviewslop. All the interviewslop bots I've used fall back to model 'isms faster than bots with more orthodox descriptions.
