Nobody will use youtube 2 if their favorite channel isn't there, so the only ways to make youtube 2 is to repeal copyright law, or for every popular creator to decide to switch ships at roughly the same time. Something like grayjay could also solve the problem. Grayjay fetches content from several different sites and presents it in one interface, so you can keep up with both creators who upload on shitty sites like youtube and small sites, potentially even personal sites that only hosts video from one creator. It's really promising, but I don't think it's refined enough for mass adoption yet, so the problem still stands.
