Ghost Screen fifth anniversary Anonymous 09/01/2025 (Mon) 03:39:40 No. 534690
>What's Ghost Screen? Ghost Screen is an Adult Swim inspired streaming project started on September 20th, 2020. The next year it's the anniversary #5 and this thread is for showing anons what streams are taking place, I stream for hispanic 8chan anons but for this occasion I'm also setting an English mirror por English speaking anons: >First Sunday: Nadia, The Secret of Blue Water episodes 33 - 39 marathon + Movie >Second Sunday: Regular stream with voice chat >Third Sunday: Anime stream (to be defined what we are streaming, you can post your suggestions here) >Last Sunday: Hilda anniversary Marathon with multiple dubs. I hope I'll see you there, anon. This is the channel: https://8chan.tv/view/602e4689-b108-4ccd-a6cd-c74cce99c549/

>What's Ghost Screen?
>>534772 but srs it's masturbating to dead nude or gored up little girls.
>>534779 Does August Underground’s Mordum count? Or does it have to be the real deal?
>>534690 What's this about?
>>534781 An Adult Swim Inspired streaming project I started 5 years ago. I stream on 8tv, I shared the channel URL on the OP. This Sunday I'm going to stream a Nadia Marathon along with the movie, Laputa and Atlantis.
Will the movie be in English?
>>534803 Yes. English subbed if the source's audio isn't English.
(10.78 MB 480x360 anime dnb.mp4)

>>534690 >>534782 Maybe you or any other anons might have the solution for me but I've recently been downloading full 2000s Adult Swim broadcasts with the bumps and commercials. Been doing this purely for nostalgia reasons. I've been downloading these on an SSD but I eventually wanna buy a CRT tv and find out a way where I can play the broadcasts onto the CRT. How would I go about this?
>>534871 >but I eventually wanna buy a CRT tv and find out a way where I can play the broadcasts onto the CRT That right there. That's what crossing the line from "nostalgia" to "mental illness fueled obsession" looks like. Take notes everyone.
>>534871 You'll need to ensure the video you're downloading is preserved in the proper format, otherwise nothing about this will be authentic. Assuming NTSC Adult Swim, your SOURCE video must be: >720x480/486 >Rec 608 color >Interlaced, and properly tagged as such (29.97i/59.94i/480i these are all the same) There's no converting this and keeping an authentic look. Your sources must already have been preserved this way. Then, you can play this back through something that supports composite video out (the yellow RCA jack). Yes there was component video and S video available at the time which were superior, but most people didn't use it. I keep a USB Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle around for this, but it's no longer supported so I use an older computer. Start a proper SD project in Premiere, set the Blackmagic as the monitor device, and play it back through your CRT. There are more details to cover but I don't know that you'll ever read this or care. Ask if you'd like to know more.
>>534898 (Source: I was a broadcast engineer back when SD was all there was) >>534877 Nah it's just a trend. Like how Millennials had a boner for vinyl.
>>534871 >>534898 I just use a cheap HDMI to AV converter and connect my CRT to my Laptop. The desktop and Kodi's UI look blurry as shit but the media itself looks good enough. I watched Evil con Carne, I'm not autistic enough to look for lossless rips from the time the show aired.
>>534905 Hypothetically couldn't you get an android box and connect it to your CRT with an HDMI converter, then transfer your videos to the android box and watch them from there? If that could work it'd be a little more authentic considering android boxes come with remotes and you wouldn't need to have a computer monitor open.
>>534905 Respectfully: what's the point then? Where's the line? You're just shitty-ing-up the video for no reason and it's not even accurate.
>>534960 I just like CRTs and how they look like. I know there is a lot of theory of how the media is stored and displayed but I'm not deep enough into the hobby to actually want to know about accuracy and other subjects.
Schedule for tomorrow. I used American times, if there are some European friends we are starting at 22 UTC, you can change that to your local time zone. We are watching >Nadia the movie >Atlantis >Laputa, A Castle in the Sky
It starts in 3 hours and a half.
Starting in 40 minutes.
Reeeee
Been a long while since I watched Laputa. Good stuff.

>>535614 Don't worry anon, it gets better! At some point you stop caring about being alive at all!
Sorry for the delay, it starts in 15 minutes.
Hi. My anime guy is not available to stream this Sunday so I decided to do the Hilda Marathon this Sunday, so it's closer to the series anniversary. I'm going to stream a similar program to last's week but instead of the movie I'm going to stream a marathon of the first season of the series with random dubs selected by the anons. It's a very fun show, like Moomins British and a big retard as a protagonist.
>>536006 >we can't watch anime so we'll have to go with a western show about little girls instead thank god this board got rid of all the pedos or one might assume there's an underlying reason for this :^)
(2.33 MB 2677x2792 ankha lotion.png)

>>536024 pedos like 3DPD though, its like calling someone a zoophile when they just wanna fuck cartoon cats
>>536025 the people watching cartoon little girls because they're sexually attracted to them are pedophiles just like the people watching cartoon horses because they're sexually attracted to them are zoophiles. you think its a coincidence that the guy who owned /zoo/ along with this board just so happened to give it to a brony who made it mlp themed? they were associated with eachother through their shared interest in fucking animals.
>>536024 September 20 is the anniversary of the animated adaptation. /ac/ has been obsessed over it pretty much since it aired, I'm keeping the flame alive until the eventually leak of the season 3 missing episodes or the unavoidable adaptation of Hilda & Twig books by a cheaper studio, whatever happens first. Man, fuck Netflix but mainly fuck Sony for burring this show.
>>536026 Projection: The Post
>>536026 Vampyr introduced me to /mlp/ by posting Twilight Sparkle on my board, then I went to the /mlp/ anniversary stream by accident last year and got into it.
Program for tomorrow. I'll be streaming episodes 1 to 8 from season 1.
>>536115 >he thinks he only recently became a pedophile
Starting in around 4 hours.
Starting in 5 minutes.
>>536026 Umm ahkshually I'm attracted to the ponies for their personalities. The biggest butts and ability to do farm labor are coincidences. >>536183 The main 6 all have JOBS. Dumbest criticism I've ever heard.
>I'm not a pedophile, I just masturbate to animated 7 year olds! jej
(138.16 KB 281x239 1756922716845.png)

Welp, my anime guy is not available this Sunday either, so what do you wanna watch?
(89.65 KB 640x854 PSG briefs combinations.jpg)

>>536448 I don't join in so it doesn't matter to me, but you certainly have time to torrent an anime before then, my suggestion would be the first season of Panty and Stocking.
>>536478 I'm going to be quite honest with you, chief. That show is dogshit, all the humor is scat or referencial, like Rick and Morty minus the forced drama (another show I despise).
(446.56 KB 434x233 hidamari_gay.gif)

>>536519 You're shit! PSG is dynamite fantastic, the shitmonster's only the first episode, you sound like a faggot with a weak stomach. I bet you watch moeshit nonstop.
>>536535 >I bet you watch moeshit nonstop. On the contrary, I really like american shows with toiled humor like Moral Orel, Superjail! and Ballmartz, that's why PSG strikes me as something made someone who thought the best part of South Park was everytime Kenny died; and ignored the social and political jokes. It's a pretty shallow show, where 90% of the jokes are "panty is a whore" and the rest are "stocking is a fat whore", they didn't even have the balls to make racist jokes. It's just makes me want to be watching Superjail!, Karacaz' action scenes are far more fun.
>>534690 did you stream tonight already?
>>536750 Thanks for asking. No I didn't have the energy to stream last sunday. Next Sunday starts the Halloween season, this year I'm streaming some found footage movies: Blaire Witch, Paranormal Activity, Cloverfield, you know that kind of stuff. If anons are interested I can make a mirror for English Speaking anons too, it shouldn't be so hard.
>>536786 >I didn't have the energy to stream >I didn't have the energy >to stream
>>536786 The theatrical cut or the Sundance Festival Cut? Also, I was well aware of the website back in the day, but I was really surprised by how much more lore these is to TBWP; the TV documentaries, the many different novels, the comics, the (four) video games… and all the merch; trading cards, calendars, diaries, the “soundtrack” (Josh’s Blair Witch Mix), the two action figures from Todd McFarlane. Crazy.
>>536793 Sometimes I just want to do something else that isn't sitting up and watching cartoons for 5 hours straight and talking with anons. >>536800 I'm a sucker for found footage since I watched Paranormal Activity for the first time. I know TBWP started the trend but I've never really sat down to watch it, so this could be a great oportunity. I didn't know there were several versions, which one should I pick?
Welcome all to 8chan
>>536826 I still jack off to this photo sometimes and I still pretend it's Joey Diaz in drag
>>536815 Last year Second Sight released a Blu-ray that had been remastered to look exactly as the filmmakers intended it to look on screen. The release includes two cut of the film, one is the original cut the filmmakers showed at Sundance, and the theatrical cut we are all familiar with. The Sundance cut is a little longer and includes alternate takes of a few scenes, but after the festival they shot one or two short scenes that were included in the theatrical cut. One such scene is an interview with a Burkittsville local that gives a lot of context to the climax of the film. But there are a few alternate endings included, so they were not sure how the film would end. Also included on this release is a feature length documentary with the filmmakers showing the entire process of the film being made, and a lot of cool additional footage from the film and behind the scenes that has never been seen before. Mike Monello, one of the producers, showed up on the forum thread discussing the new Blu-ray release: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.php?p=22585720&postcount=243 The mockumentary The Curse of the Blair Witch was shown on TV shortly before the film was released in cinemas, so it can be seen first. There are an additional three made-for-TV mockumentaries, The Burkittsville 7, Sticks and Stones, and Shadow of the Blair Witch that can be viewed after the film/before the sequel that expand on the lore. Grave Encounters from 2011 is getting a reboot with Justin Long according to Variety As Above, So Below from 2014 is set mostly in the catacombs of Paris and is like a found footage horror take on Lara Croft Deadstream is a Evil Dead style horror comedy, made on a low budget, but with a lot of cool practical effect, and perhaps the best example using streaming in found footage horror Kōji Shiraishi has made several found footage horror films; Occult from 2009, Cult from 2013, A Record of Sweet Murder from 2014, and above all, Noroi: The Curse from 2005. It is IMHO one of the best found footage films there is. Presented as a legit documentary investigating paranormal phenomena, it escalates into a Lovecraftian nightmare. All his other found footage films are also heavily inspired by Lovecraft. There is a recent Blu-ray release of Noroi: The Curse from Arrow worth checking out.

>>536786 >>536846 >not rape correcting the oogily boogily monsters or whatever into submission fuckin casuals Blair Witch more like My Bitch amirite
>>537103 Elly Kedward, the woman claimed to the Blair Witch is said to be an old woman. And that was before she died and started killing and tormenting the townspeople. There is a hot wannabe witch (Wiccan) in the sequel, but she is one of the few good things about that film. Luckily for you there is a series of five parody films that may be right up your back alley: The Bare Wench Project by Jim Wynorski. Many familiar faces (and boobs) if you are into nude models from the ’90s and early ’00s: Julie K. Smith, Julie Strain, Nikki Fritz, Lorissa McComas, Shauna O’Brien, &c. A real shame the video quality of the torrents is so shite.
