Anyone wanna talk about /co/ related video games? What have you been playing? What upcoming games are you looking forward to? Here are my thoughts on a few new and upcoming games. Avengers looks like ass. I hate how everyone in charge at Marvel completely missed the appeal of Kamala. I'm probably in the minority here who actually like the character, but what made her appealing at the start was how low stakes her stories were. She doesn't work in big events like what this game is going for. It also will have some Destiny like shit tacked on. Ultimate Alliance 3 was enjoyable, but definitely worse than the original. It does show how much better stylized art looks when compared to the upcoming Avengers game. The camera is terrible though especially in co-op. I don't understand Sony's strategy with Spider-Man: Miles Morales. They revealed it like it was a sequel, but from what I understand it is just an expansion that comes with a rerelease of the first game. Next gen so far looks like a disaster. And finally Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated. I was really looking forward to this game, but I hear it's a mess. The cut content from the original that they had advertised as being added wasn't, and even with a day one patch it is apparently still a buggy mess.

I'd prefer a Warframe format like the Nightwave progression where you just do missions to make progression to earn set rewards. It encourages players to actually play the game rather than spend money.

Technically not /co/, but I used to watch it with other cartoons before I knew what anime was. So it's /co/ to me. And even if they do churn out a game if it underperforms they are down. The games industry got too big for it's own good. All these big studios just aren't sustainable, so you are seeing a lot of layoffs and shutdowns.

However the LEGO Marvel's Avengers game was based on the movies, and used the dialogue straight from the movies. So why are they not using the Batman movie audio for the Batman game based on the Batman movies? The only reason I can "see" why is because they want to do side stories not based on the films, like we saw with Lego Star Wars TFA (Which still used the original actors, BTW), but that excuse only works for anything related to Joker due to the passing of Health Ledger. Everyone else is still around. It cannot be that video games are too "low brow" as all of the film's actors lent their talent for the original Batman Begins video game, and I'm sure they would be willing to return for nothing more than an easy check as they spend a couple hours in a recording booth. So why did they "need" to hire a new cast for this project?

It's going to have references & various scenes but not straight adapting all of them. The Lego Star Wars, Harry Potter, & The Hobbit games came out when their movies were going. Kids could easily see those then play the games.
