He starts off relying on her heavily because he's not as a good of a fighter while she's one of the best on the team. Then, after the episode with Striker and her family, Mox decides to seriously work towards being a more competent fighter so he can be taken seriously. He starts getting better at fighting, which Millie is happy about at first, until she starts to worry about what that means for their relationship, since he's always relied on her and now he's becoming more self-sufficient. This could throw her off balance and make her start fucking up on jobs. The resolution would be her realizing it's not about one of them being competent and the other one solely relying on them, but both of them relying on each other and being supportive to each other, both in their work and on a personal level. I dunno, this is idea guy shit, but even if this is ass, literally anything would be better than what she has right now.
