Kevin Conroy Dead Anonymous 11/11/2022 (Fri) 16:21:32 No. 30372
>Kevin Conroy, who voiced Batman in multiple shows over the years, has died. He was 66. >Conroy’s death was confirmed by Diane Pershing, the voice of the DC character Poison Ivy. >“Very sad news: our beloved voice of Batman, Kevin Conroy, died yesterday. He’s been ill for a while but he really put in a lot of time at the cons, to the joy of all of his fans. He will be sorely missed not just by the cast of the series but by his legion of fans all over the world,” she shared on Facebook today. >Pershing included multiple photos of Conroy from over the years in her post, where she wrote, “Below are pictures of Kevin with Loren Lester who plays Robin another with me and and Tara Strong who is in the later episodes of Batman cartoons. And then finally, one of Kevin and me in front of the huge audiences we used to get when we did our panels. RIP, friend.😢” >Conroy began his Batman career in 1992’s Batman: The Animated Series, in which he voiced the titular superhero for three years. He reprised his Batman role for 1993’s Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, and went on to voice the character in multiple video games and, TV movies and series throughout the ’90s. Rest in Peace Caped Crusader. https://archive.ph/KlOtm
>>30372 Rest in peace. May you be remembered for the classic cartoon that was lightning in a bottle.
>>30372 I guess you can say, he's Batman Beyond.

>>30372 His politics aside, the man defined Batman in a way no other adaptation since has captured as well. I like Brave & The Bold & The Batman cartoon sure but Conroy's voice with the writing of the animated series through Justice League was great stuff. Even if the Arkham games had a subpar story overall, his voice still brought Batman to life. This is really fucking with me today. I fucking hate comic books & the companies that produce them with no quality control but those cartoons were sublime. Part of my childhood is gone now.

>>30376 It's okay anon. Don't think about how he's gone think about how much he's done. Yes he tragically died young but in that time frame he made a big impact on so many people including you. He'll live on through the memories of fans everywhere.

Pain.

>>30377 You're right. It just always sucks when even someone you admire in some way passes on. At least he got in one last voice role.
>>30372 was he vaxxed?

Why do /co/-related celebs people dying?
>>30411 Because most of them were born before society took a turn for the shit, and so most of them are old. Old people die eventually, anon.
Rest in peace. He really had the perfect voice for Batman. >>30417 It's not a new revelation but it always makes me wonder, who do you think the future generation of people who define comics these same characters/franchises will be?
What a beautiful man, he will be missed. I bought a cameo from him for my brother's birthday last year and I never expected it to be so touching.
>>30435 >Batman doesn't let it make him bitter Man, I wish more writers followed this
>>30409 >Batman took the cyanide 'pill' I guess his superpower was flawless memory, not lock-tight logic
so is it too soon to find other batman VAs on cameo and ask them to do kevin conroy impressions and read out BL doujin scripts?
>>30377 >died young >aged 66 It was sooner than later, anon. Honestly I'm just surprised he went first and not Mark Hamill.
>>30377 >66 >young What?
>>30463 It's young comparatively. Humans usually live to 80 on average so anything below 70 is considered taken too soon.
(541.12 KB 1448x2048 32b.jpg)

>>30463 For celebrities, and especially voice actors who often work into their later years it is relatively young.
>>30372 The first actor who worked at Venture Bros to pass away? https://yewtu.be/watch?v=MBdYeHoGu9c
He was the essence of Batman. No one else could be Batman like he could.
RIP
So you already knew this, but this is basically Conroy's last recorded lines, save for postmortem cameos.
It’s a real shame that he was a faggot. Almost as big a shame as deleting posts you dislike.
