What are your favorite Zombie Simpsons episodes?
I haven't watched the simpsons in twenty years.
I haven't watched the simpsons since 2004 or so.
>>39993 >>39995 I second what both of these anons said. I mean, I'm sure there are a couple good episodes in the later seasons but I'm not going to spend my time trawling through shit when the earlier seasons are right there to watch whenever I'm in the mood for it. Is there some list for what most people would consider standout episodes from the later seasons?
>>39989 Mark Scully shat on the Simpsons making it into a parody, I guess that was ahead of its time before the ironic humor boom, still would've been preferable if they ended the show there and focus on the clones just to fill the gap that the Simpsons left.
>>40001 Mike Scully's years are a bit different and I can understand why people might not prefer them, but really I think he was just following the trend of increasing zaniness that had been going on since the start. It's when Scully left and Al Jean (and not Mike Reiss) took over that things got really shit. And Al Jean declared himself showrunner for life, so we're still in that position now, over 20 years later. If I'm recommending the show to any casuals, I tell them to just stop after Season 12. I warn them that maybe they'll want to stop before then, and if they do, then fine, but even if you like Season 12, don't bother with Season 13 or later. If you must, I think Jean didn't take over until after the first couple episodes of Season 13, so maybe check out that one single season, but definitely not 14.
>>40002 To think that Beavis and Butthead is the only show that handled better its fate of being the "90s cartoon that refuses to die", but I guess is because of South Park that got hosed up to last until the end of times letting Mike Judge off the hooknose.
>>40002 >Al Jean <The fucking tumor next to Tim Long That guy tried to recreate what Mike Scully did but failed to understand irony letting the punchline shit itself at the end.

the ones I didn't watch
>>40032 >Releasing the scientology episode that'd make Bart's voice actress ragequit NEVER EVER
>>39989 Bro, that Pie Man episode was pretty good. When he got shot in the arm and shouted "DAMN IT", it never fails to get a chuckle out of me.
>>40673 I'd love to see her pull an Isaac Hayes and quit. "You cashed a lot of checks when we were making fun of every other religion."
>>40801 And have the scientologists puppeteer her ass and expose how even more spineless the writers are, after retiring Apu over a mediocre shitskin comedian. They would certainly delete every trace of it and send DMCA's to everyone including their grannies just to keep Nancy Cartwright on the show: to think she's much more important than Harry Shearer who cockteased everyone by ditching the cartoon after feeling burned out.

Pokey Mom Not much else
>>40002 It's become transparently obvious that Mike Reiss and not Jean was the real brains behind Seasons 3-4. Any time you watch the DVD commentaries it's clear that Jean has an extremely cynical idea of the show and is in love with the idea of the characters constantly being at each other's throats.

Is it me or was Lisa a bit flirtatious with Bart at times in the early seasons?
>>49969 no, you retarded porn addict
>>39989 I think by Pieman episode, it wasn't quite zombie yet. I always maintained it was a slow downward spiral rather than a sudden instant shift just because of the Principal and the Pauper. To me, Zombie Simpsons begins at S16, and I don't really like any of them episodes until Pixelated and Afraid.
>>39989 the one treehouse of horror where everybody becomes their halloween costumes was pretty great. there was also that one future episode following an adult deadbeat bart, that would have been a great note to end on. Past season 15 however alot of the zombie era is just largely insufferable.
>>39999 At this point someone should just compile a list of "watchable" zombie eps. A best of zombie simpsons playlist. I already know it wont stack up to the golden age, but it would save most people alot of the headache of trudging through 100+ shit tier episodes.
