‘Family Guy’ Will Return To Adult Swim in 2025, The Cable Network That Helped Revive It 20 Years Ago https://archive.fo/NR8SV >Family Guy is heading back to Adult Swim, over three years after it stopped airing on the network and 20 years after the Warner Bros. Discovery helped revive it. The cable network has struck a non-exclusive licensing deal for the rights to old episodes of Seth Macfarlane’s Fox animated series and will launch it in the new year. >This comes after Comedy Central struck a similar deal earlier this year and launched it in a primetime block. The series also airs library episodes on FX and FXX and Hulu is the exclusive streaming home for the series. >Family Guy is heading back to Adult Swim, over three years after it stopped airing on the network and 20 years after the Warner Bros. It will now return to airing reruns, starting with a three-day marathon of episodes every evening from 7pm to 5am ET/PT beginning Wednesday, January 1. It will then air in the network’s primetime weekday lineup between 10pm and 11:30pm. >“Adult Swim is a huge part of Family Guy’s early history, and we’re excited for the series to return to our lineup in 2025,” said Michael Ouweleen, President of Adult Swim. “Having Family Guy back on our air is a great complement to the amazing slate of animated originals we also have planned for next year.”

>Zach Hadel may end up doing work for Family Guy Oh my word.
Just reruns, who cares?
>>42285 Does anybody remember that commercial AS used to play back in the day saying that Family Guy would air on AS forever?
>>42287 It would be the only highlight of his career, an Oneyplays inside joke turned into reality.
>>42697 I remember FOX's animation domination and it was all Simpsons clones, literally the same animated cartoon of a dysfunctional family multiplied by 5, even the fucking live action parody with HEMAN was about his family. SAME SHOW
>>42724 It was all Simpson's clones except for the one Archer clone about the rapper where the joke was "Hey, he turned gay in prison. He's white and gay and he's a rapper."

>>42728 Chozen right? There was another Archer inspired show set in the 80s in which apparently it never got a 2nd season because its arc was already finished, the only memorable thing was the Simpsons' parody intro (pics related)

>>42285 Whatever happened to the Flinstones reboot by Seth Macfarlane, did the character designs sheets ever get leaked? Was it all just an extended Family Goy sketch?
>>42285 Can't find a King of the Hill thread but since it's getting a new season, does that mean TimeWarner will get the rights to broadcast the new stuff or it's all going to Hulu exclusively?
>>42873 Shitcanned by FOX mid development. Far as I know no production art ever saw the light of day. He's got a TED animated series on the way now. I genuinely wonder if he'll utilize a more unique art style or if it will be another Family Guy clone.
>>42724 Zorn was the biggest case of wasted potential even at the time. You could do alot with the premise of a washed up He-man locked into domestics, but it was pretty much ruined by the weird cuck angle and the Roger Rabbit dynamic.
>>52367 >TED animated They'll never learn that Family Guy's fame is just ironic and just keep dragging Seth Macfarlane into the new star-spangling turds, in fact they told Naked Gun's director to fuck off from the reboot because of Macfarlane doing the heavy lifting. >>52368 >Zorn One of the few instances where the showrunner was in the wrong, that dumbfuck stated: <<We're not showing Zorn's world? That is so childish What was the point of having a cartoon character on the first place? These nepobabies are the worst.
>>52379 >in fact they told Naked Gun's director to fuck off from the reboot because of Macfarlane doing the heavy lifting. I'm sorry, what?

>>52380 My bad, I meant Macfarlane is becoming a last resource when it comes to reboots from 80s comedies despite his fame being ironic with the youth, don't be surprised if he gets dragged into Spaceballs 2 production after mutilating Naked Gun's legacy with Liam Nesson. It's worth mentioning part of his "restored" reputation is because of his Star Trek parody show, although anyone from Fanfiction.net can blow out of the water whatever product Paramount is shitting out with the Star Trek label pasted all over it.
>>52502 His whole gimmick was packaging 80's references to the youth.
>>42873 Maybe it's autism, but that first image is heartwarming.
>>52665 Greg Miller did the same but unlike MacFarlane, he (unfortunately) failed after 13 episodes, lawsuits from Apple, unintentional dictator similarities on principals, cel animation being hard to do and Bobby "Generic Kid Voice #408" Block redubbing the main character
