New Jimmy Neutron in development Anonymous 03/29/2025 (Sat) 04:17:21 No. 44424 >>44426 >>44433
https://archive.ph/ofLp6 Some animation veteran listed it on their linkedin and it started in December 2023 at the latest. It was since updated to obsfuscate it (no archive because Linkedin needs login), which replaced the listing with one for a "sequel" (e.g., not reboot/remake). As a fan who is terrified yet curious, I've got to ask: Do people under 25 even know who Jimmy Neutron is at this point? I'm pretty sure it was only relatively popular in its day, not a juggernaut, and Planet Sheen was an abomination. Can't even pretend it does well in streaming because it doesn't have the best episode for viewing.
>>44424 (OP) Culture moves at a snails pace in Current Year, and Gen Z has a lot of cross pollination of media. Early Gen Z and late millennials hyped it up on the internet, like pre-movie Spongebob or (to a lesser extent) Ed, Edd, & Eddy. Where it was fodder for jokes, memes, edits, YTPs, and of course quotable that it took on a life of its own. So later generations hear about this thing that's been hyped up by the older generations, and unlike previous generations they actively embraced it (Because late Zoomers and Gen Alpha really have no Cartoons to call their own besides Tumblrtoons like Steven Universe and online brainrot. At best Gumball, Regular Show, and maybe Gravity Falls.)
>>44426 I haven't seen any besides the salt one, fake Hugh quotes, and Mrs. Fowl telling Sheen that's the X time he's shown Ultralord.
>>44424 (OP) >Can't even pretend it does well in streaming because it doesn't have the best episode for viewing. Judging by your pic, I assume you mean the episode where the pants turn evil. >>44432 Do kids like Oneyplays? Smiling Friends is a hit, and Psychicpebbles references Jimmy Neutron a lot on Oneyplays.
Seeing speculation that Paramount's thing at Cinemacon (late in morning PT of April 3rd) would be a place this would be announced if it's announced this year/anytime soon. >>44433 >Oneyplays Never heard of it. Is 1.3 mil subs even that big for a gaming YT channel these days?
>>44432 It definitely fell into ironic meme territory at this point, but that's because of its horrific character design on par with Klasky-Csupo's.
>>44458 >that model That's just gen 1 CGI reduced to low poly by 6th gen shovelware. It's not the character design. The cast looks perfectly fine in 2D illustrations.
I remember when those Owl House faggots made that reanimated Neutron scene as a joke. I pointed out on vanilla /co/ what an obvious attempt it was to bait for future job opportunities to work on a pozzed new Jimmy neutron revival. Seems like Odenkirk just assumed direct control afterwards. Regardless I dont want this shit. The deluge of zoomer nostalgia mining is upon us and I loathe it, it's all been total shit. >Spiderman No Way Home >Avengers 5 including the FoX-men cast >Shrek 5 >Ice Age 6 >the pozzed FOP revival >now this Hollywood deserves to be raped into the dirty 10 times harder than it already has
>>44472 >that reanimated Neutron scene Let me guess: I don't want to know?
>>44472 Don't forget someone bought Megas XLR back from the IRS and now is teasing a reboot.
>>44485 What?!
>>44485 In the fallout of all the shit going down at Warner I was actually thinking over this possibility myself. I mean shit just about anybody with the money could walk in and buy anything from the warner ip library. I would have preferred Chris P buy back Megas but thats the way the cookie crumbles. If Man of Action was smart they would try and pry all of their properties out of warner's cold dying hands now.

They reanimated a scene from the original series, but redesigned everybody according to their stunning and brave modern lense. This video pissed me off the moment it was uploaded. All the current generation of animators know how to do is to manufacture internet buzz and use said buzz as a bounding board to new gigs.
