As long as you have an endgame fleet you can pretty much handle anything they throw at you. I tend to do an exploration run where I survey every system and mostly avoid fights, surviving off salvage and rare finds with minimal ships and sensor profile, and there's always at least once system that has some nice habitable low hazard worlds and a Gas giant or two - those area always perfect, and since they make so much money right about the time they hit size 4 or 5 (depending), I can get a fleet built up in the meantime. It's a bit of a roundabout way to do things but it works for me - unless I forget to pack enough supplies or fuel and get stranded and then get fucked lmao. Or once when I jumped into a system and was swarmed by 5 Ordos. Thank god for saving
