ITT: Your Most Hated Cartoon Anonymous 04/20/2025 (Sun) 23:34:43 No. 48313
for me, its Sons Of Butcher: >dude intentionally gross imagery and metal music and farting and exploding man boobs.

>>48313 I hate shit aimed at a mature audience only to fuck it up because it's not kosher enough and fail at every aspect to be mature on purpose and comes off as another shitty children's cartoon, Family Goy and whatever Viziepop shits out comes in mind.

>>48648 What about seinen anime style adult animation? Are they way better by comparison?
>>48313 I hate cartoons and comics about hillbillies and rednecks.

>Watch Kablam in the hopes of seeing Action League Now or Prometheus and Bob >This bitch shows up >Watch the Digimon Movie <This bitch shows up Fuck Angela Anaconda.
>>48313 <EPIC METAL BAND >listen to the show's theme >it's 2000s pop rock Why are cartoons like this

>>48313 Safe edgy shit from the early 2000's trying their hardest to catch up with punk-cucks, that alone turned me off from watching cartoons then the pozzed faggotry happened which was basically the final nail on their coffin. Can't believe there are people still mourning the cancellation of such mediocre lame slop. >>50962 Now that I take a closer look, why the fuck Angela was conceived? Were they trying to steal the audience who were watching Disney's show about talking school year photographs?
>>51749 >Safe edgy shit from the early 2000's trying their hardest to catch up with punk-cucks, that alone turned me off from watching cartoons then the pozzed faggotry happened which was basically the final nail on their coffin. Can't believe there are people still mourning the cancellation of such mediocre lame slop. Any examples besides the one being parodied in vid related?
>>51749 Honestly don't remember safe edgy cartoons from the early 00s really being a thing. Yeah various 90s and 00s cartoons and comics had stuff with the "extreme" or grimdark aesthetic, grossout and dark comedy, exec designed "How do you do fellow kids", and punk stuff, but the safe edgy thing seems more like it got started in the 10s (or late 00s I guess at the earliest) on tumblr and Reddit since it's tied in to the polarized political derangement going on over the past 10-15 years. Safe edgy makes me think Rick and Morty, Hazbin Hotel/Helluvaboss, and GLITCH not Loonatics Unleashed. Earliest thing I'd call safe edgy that comes to mind isn't directly /co/ related, but mainstream rock and metal bands from 90s and 00s (like Green Day, Alice in Chains, Rage Against The Machine, or System of a Down) or "It's not a phase, Mom!" emo and scene kids. Still doesn't seem quite accurate though due to modern safe edgy being internet political spergery spawned.
>>51757 Rage against the Machine is just reactionary (ironic) commie shit because Punk and Metal was getting too "Fash"
(28.31 KB 401x296 Spongebob did 911.jpg)

>>51757 I do recall in the mid 2010s were doing this back and forward of airing "we're so heckin' Xtreme" crap to early signs of (((subtle))) poz, you'd get leftovers from frogs and leafs such as: >Le monde de Pahé >Pok & Mok >Any lame-tacular cartoon by Jan Van Rijsselberge What's wrong with those cartoons? Nothing, literally nothing happens and you're stuck with them when paying cable along side with CN's and Disney's shitty live actions shows and Nickelodeon perpetually airing Spongebob with their respective catalog of cancerous live actions shows. It's worth mentioning during that era lots of soccermoms were bitching and moaning that cartoons had to be censored to shit because supervising children is hard work and TV was meant to be a babysitter with a on/off switch (typical dyke behavior of not wanting to take responsibility): which snowballed into this current hipster AIDS-fest, they may sneak in innuendos or fetishes but as long they play it safe, it's all halal.
99% of 80s cartoons. Toy commercials where the budget that would make for 8 decent episodes is stretched out to 65 episodes, so the quality does not exist. Animation errors are frequent, characters are flat & never grow or change- and in the off chance they have an episode that does show some character growth it's forgotten by the next episode anyway. Multiple writers on board so characters are sometimes inconsistent. Barely any continuity.

>>51996 The 1% that godawful rubik cube show where he looks like a sleep paralysis demon mixed with a rubik cube, a smurf and a baby Was made fun of in Robot Chicken, in Family Guy and in Robot Jones where he was voiced by Spongebob
(1.69 MB 640x360 WW2 Electric Boogaloo.mp4)

>>51997 Can't believe there are nostalgiafags with a hard on for 80s cartoons that brought nothing on the table, it's worth mentioning how these hipsters currently working at the industry basically regressed expectations to the point of producing politically correct cartoons as much as possible but with shittier designs, The Fungies is a great example of that.
>>52005 i mean i don't disagree but what you posted is from the 90s
(471.45 KB 1720x1376 TMNT1987Series.jpg)

is just not good. Why everybody pretends this should be the standard for anything, they were copying ninja comics and transformers they were not the first of their kind. Thundercats came out first anyway
>>52009 It's least watchable, unlike Thundercats. He-Man is watchable because its so stupid. She-Ra went surprisingly dark and was decent enough. GI Joe is too dumb to be watchable half the time, even Joe fans regard the cartoon as weird. Transformers was likewise dumb but "robots are not humans" allowed characters to be shot. Jem took an okay concept & wrecked it with teally bad ideas, samey writing & bad villains. How does Marv Wolfman write for these shows & they are so bland? Anyine who can say an 80s cartoon is superior to Batman TAS is either stupid or lying.
>>52009 Childhood nostalgia. It's only real impact is establishing colors & personality types the comics didn't cover. Otherwise yeah it's just a no stakes safe kids cartoon.
>>52018 i think johnny quest is better than the ones you mentioned. >superior to Batman TAS not every batman episode was perfect. Not every johnny quest episode was perfect. Some like the invisible monster or the lunatic war pilot are genuinely great episodes though. >>52023 >colors good point. That kinda explains a lot.
>>51997 Say whatever you want about the Rubik cartoon, but it's pretty based that they made the villain a gypsy. https://yewtu.be/watch?v=LYs_GCy9PRk
>>52005 Dig more deeper the good one are working in the 3D animation majority especially in game development to bad they're on doing for mobile gacha slops.
