It took ten minutes to post this thread and during that time it had somehow never occurred to me to attach the source. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/renowned-canadian-puppeteer-noreen-young-dead-at-85-1.7513889

rip. feels like puppeteering is a dying artform.
>>48467 It really does. Hopefully Sesame Street can keep it going for as long as possible.
I watched this show when I was a kid. 85? Boy that's ol- >has to remind self the 1980s were not 25 years ago but 40 years ago >everything you remember from this era is getting ancient >you're getting ancient So this is what a mid-life crisis feels like, huh? Also, a thread like this might have gotten deleted on 4/co/ because they'd consider puppets /tv/, despite the fact most puppets shows were for kids and aired when cartoons aired. I remember when Lois of Sharon, Lois & Bram died, there was a thread started for her that was deleted by the mods. I'm happy that here, this gets pinned, and we have some respect for the person who died, even if much of /co/ won't know this show, because it's Canadian and to my knowledge only aired in Canada.
>>48614 I still think the 90s were 10-15 years ago even though I was born then. It's suffering. >Also, a thread like this might have gotten deleted on 4/co/ because they'd consider puppets /tv/ Maybe, but don't they consider puppets /co/? There's been a few Umbrella Tree threads on /co/. >only aired in Canada. It aired on Disney Channel here in the states, I think they even had a few exclusive episodes made for Americans. Such a delightful little gem.
