Hebe girls in western animation Anonymous 06/16/2025 (Mon) 16:17:22 No. 52573
Are there any difficulty in making a hebe character design to be put in a show in western animation? Would you find any resistance from the top? Because it seems somewhat inconsistent even within shows. For example Pacifica Northwest was given a noticeable chest and waist in Season 1 of Gravity Falls and that was clearly with the purpose of making her more "mature" looking than Mabel, but it doesn't matter because those elements were stripped on Season 2. Ok, at 14 might not count as hebe but still, every girl in Star vs is essentially noodle design, even Star which canonically went trough Mewberty. But not Jackie, of course to represent her as the ideal girl in Marco's eyes but it's kind of odd how much emphasis she has on it. My guess is that Slice of Life "realistic" shows like As Told by Ginger and All Grown Up get a special permit and so do shows that aim for realistic designs like Legend of Korra or Thundercats (2011). But no one in CN board questioned Gwen going from flat to B-Cup in a span of canonically 9 months for omniverse? Or was Wyatt that fucking good?
>>52573 Was /delicious/ too nsfw for you?
>>52574 No, I don't want porn, I want a discussion about the industry in this hiperspecific topic.
>>52573 >Ok, at 14 might not count as hebe but still, you are not even sure and you are complaining?
>>52576 No, because 14 is still hebe in some definitions but not in others. Hebephilia where the definition comes from refers to ages 9 to 14 but in many cultures and specially the US where most users are from they usually ignore this and would rather use the definition of tween which encapsulates 10 to 12.
>>52577 Isn't pedophila up to 12 and hebephilia is 12-16? Though?
>>52578 >Isn't pedophila up to 12 and hebephilia is 12-16? Though? See what I mean with hebe having a not formally accepted definition. As for the most formal definition, no. Pedophilia is from around 4 to the beginning of puberty and initial presence of secondary sexual characteristics, so usually 9 at the very least. Hebefilia begins at 9 and ends at around 14 where they stop being easily distinguished as kids despite their development. Ephebophilia starts around 15 and last until 17
The word is “Loli”.
>>52580 Agreed. Just call it what is. Nothing wrong with the terms loli and shota. Saying hebephile comes off as actually more perverted since it can refer to attraction to real minors. Loli and shota are generally understood as purely fictional (except by puritanical reddit/tumblr tards that care more about pixels and virtue signaling than real people). The majority of the time when someone uses hebephile online it sounds way creepier than just saying loli or shota. Only reason I would avoid saying loli/shota or talking about it in general online would be when interacting with aforementioned morons that think they're doing something moral by "protecting" purely fictional characters. I've long since learned justifying or trying explain anything even slightly controversial to those sort of people is an exercise in futility. It's one of many things that makes me think there really are a lot of people out there that have difficulty separating subjective fiction from objective reality.
>>52573 Most changes in character designs are chocked up to "style" as a way to sweep things under the rug. Shows like As Told By Ginger and All Grown Up can get away with it because they're made for a female audience. Star VS gets away with it for the same reason, despite its aim at a slightly younger demographic. The Avatar franchise, Thundercats, and Omniverse get away with it because they're action shows, which require a lot of attention to anatomy for choreography, and are aimed at male teen audiences. >>52578 >Pedophilia Childhood. There is no sign of incoming puberty. 0 to ~10. >Hebephilia Prepubescence. There is some sign of incoming puberty. ~10 to ~14. >Ephebophilia Pubescence. Puberty is in full swing and has not ended. ~14 to ~18.
>>52593 Wrong pedophilia is prebuscence
>>52573 Your thread is stupid, expand your taste OP there are more cartoons beside the shit you posted.
>>52593 >>52594 Could avoid this debate on definitions if OP just made a teenage loli thread.
>>52594 Would "prepubescence," "pubescence," "adolescence" be better? Regardless, I think my age ranges are correct.
>>52595 OP doesn't care, he wanted a thread about his very specific fetish, so he is having a blast having this semantics debate. In short he wants all girls to be represented the same way his crush for kindergarten looked.
More on topic of /co/ there's really not a lot of portrayals of Hebe (the greek goddess of youth we get the word from) in fiction. The only one that immediately comes to mind is the Marvel version occasionally showing up in Hercules related stories. Seemed weird too the Disney version only had a brief cameo of her among other gods IIRC even though in mythology she becomes the wife of Hercules after his apotheosis, but the Disney version also changes a lot from mythology. >>52586 Hebephile instead of loli reminds me of how Ferengi say "female" in TNG. https://youtube.com/watch?v=AmvcvmwTjck&t=11s I imagine OP saying it in that same lecherous goblin like manner. >>52593 Puberty usually begins by 10-12. Depending on other factors starting at 13-15 could actually be considered delayed puberty and something a doctor might need to look at. Kinda reminds me how tv and film tends to portray teens as shorter than their parents even though most girls reach their final adult height by about 14-15 and for boys it's about 16-17. >>52602 Considering this isn't even the second or third time I've seen someone use hebephile online and it immediately leading to semantic arguments of exactly what age counts as hebephilia I wouldn't be surprised if OP is trolling and expected that exact thing or his real fetish is semantic arguments about the word hebephile. More likely I would think OP is just being an overly clinical autist. We wouldn't be having this discussion if OP just said loli instead.
OP here. JFC, you guys are retarded. Never, anywhere, not in /delicious/, not in 4chan, not even on normal social media have I ever had an issue with people understanding what Hebe means in the context of Loli character design. I didn't use Loli not because I want some super specific fetish acknowledgement but because Hebe is an specific type of Loli design, separate from pure "loli" and "low Loli" and I had never had to explain it because people usually have enough oxygen in their brain to figure it out from the context. As many have said, had I wanted to jerk off there's a whole /delicious/ board for me. I actually wanted discussion about the process of character design and approval in the industry because turns out that Hebe characters are extremely interesting since they're so liminal. There's many ways you can design a character in that age range due to that liminality of physical development. But this is something I've never had to explain out loud before because usually people have reading comprehension and can imply it instead of tangling themselves in semantics. You are so retarded.
>>52614 >OP uses an overly clinical term that actually sounds worse than just saying loli >Even /delicious/ prefer using loli >Gets mad over other Anons mocking him for coming off as a perverted autist Seems worth pointing out /delicious/ has no threads with "hebe" or "hebephilia" in the OP just doing a quick CTRLF. /loli/ has a single thread titled "Hebes" from a couple months ago that got locked within a week due to breaking Rule 1 there about not discussing or posting content of actual minors. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the same anon that made that thread. That thread even has anons noting there is no reason to use terms like hebe and epheb and it's mostly pedo communities using it.
>>52615 OP confirmed for another autistic pedo then. Great it's another niggerpill.
>>52620 Who could've guessed that during Cuckchan's shutdown a lot of pedophiles fled like cockroaches to other imageboards but this time they had the liberty to go off character, ditch their crossdressing fetishes and just go straight to the point about their pedophilic fantasies.
