We all know its either Batman or Superman winning.

Couldn't tell initially if this was a popularity poll or an in universe event. Researching the event and the characters I didn't know (DC is not my forte) led me to this conclusion. Lot of awkward matchups with clear pushes towards certain pairings early on, with a couple I'm surprised are so early on like Black Lightning and Batwoman likely getting eviscerated, or the Robins fighting round 1 and then either jobbing to Bats round 2. Honestly, there wouldn't be too much of a difference between power and popularity, Zatanna in top 8 over Barda being the biggest difference. Top 4 is left blank because any 1v1 matchup among those four can kinda go either way, plus I've seen and fantasized about tournament arcs like this before, there's usually some twist towards the end or after that prevents a natural conclusion and tends to devolve into "the tourney organizer was evil all along KILL HIM!".

Those bastards lied to me. Joker replacing Batman, Darkseid infiltrating the tourney (most likely finalist to fight either Superman or Wonder Woman/Barda?), they really didn't want anyone to predict the bracket. All the poor nerds who had Batman as finalist if not winner look real dumb now (including me). These major twists this early, can't tell if I like them or hate them, it'll be dependent on how the rest of the series plays out. Can't tell who Joker's gonna die to, either one of the Robins, Harley, or Wonder Woman, no chance they did this to push Star Sapphire of all people.
