From the games I've played, most of the games are against bots. They put down low cost cards at random and each has their own Boost schedule. Needless to say, they are not challenging.
Of the human opponents I've faced, I've seen most of the good plays that exist in the game currently. Most of the meta revolves around a 3-4 card combo in a lane that boosts for a large chunk of damage. A limited number of cards means a limited number of strategies obv.
Big, regular Sonic, and Amy are great self-sufficient cards, People usually throw those out just to swing at your life total, Sonic is often used to finish someone off.
Marine + Ray + Blaze is a great, turn 5 combo that deals 23 damage on its own, putting the opponent in one-shot range. This combo is entirely reliant on being in the right lane.
Charmy + Wave + 2 other cards is another big combo that deals minimum 15 damage and can take off on turn 4.
Super Sonic is a strategy where you flood the board with smaller cards before placing and swinging with a 21 damage card before anything else in his lane is even considered. Even if you predict that the opponent is building up to him, It's unlikely that you'll have enough blockers to counter-boost his card in time.
Eggman and Chaos can sort of diffuse a doom-stacked lane late-game but it's not very reliable.
No one has access to Tails yet, so idk how he'll effect the meta.
