>Welcome to /fringe/! The place where this is an everyday thing for the average poster.
Thank the fucking gods, I have found a place where there are equally weird people!
ENDLICH NORMALE LEUTE!
>I did my work almost in a similar way and if you have any question I think I can assist you.
I'd love to take you up on that. I've been working more or less exclusively solo for a long while, so the chance to tap a font of knowledge is very welcome.
>The tension in the mind and body is the greatest obstacle of spiritual development. That is why people feel they are "melting into nothing" after longer yoga and meditation practice.
Oooh... I hadn't made that connection yet, even though it was one of the most melty experiences ever! Just assumed that it was an expression of the energy, and that the relaxation was simply a nice side effect.
Do you think there's a possibility that me being
extremely tense (like, pathologically so) contributed to the length of the experience?
>Academy is basically Saturnite and Mercurial institution. I too invoked those energies a lot during my university years.
I originally thought I would just need Saturn, but turns out that I absolutely underestimated the Mercurial aspect of the academic enterprise... I had planned to do Venus after Saturn for social stuff, but alas. You never know with magick ;)
>Several Anons on fringe had similar journeys during that week.
That is simultaneously interesting, exciting, and worrying. Any consensus yet on the reasons for that?
>Happened with me too. It is a process. Your body have to be taken apart put back together then "reactivated".
...aaand relief washes over me. I had been through the dismemberment a few times before, but only ever once (twice tops) per working, and always in the context of a standard netherworld journey (if there is such a thing) by the same two entities. They did the 11th dismemberment after I had been through the 10.
Do you know if that multiple dismemberment thing happens more than once in a lifetime?
>It is the limit of your current ability/perception. You cannot process more information at once to "perceive" all the spirits at once.
That makes so much sense, and explains some things that I had been wondering about. Is there a way to expand your ability to process that kind of information that you know of?
>And when the spirits are channeling the energies/information of Saturn/Mercury it is the best for spirits of other alignments to not jam the signal.
Again, I had never considered this information model before, and it just makes perfect sense.
>Sometimes I visit some other world and get as much spirits as I am required to sync up with that place better. I learned how to do "mental linking" with spirits already.
How does that work? Sounds intriguing. I've never thought of spirits as things that I can sync up with to tune into a place, I usually just go there and do my stuff - but put more effort into prep & setting the scene irl.
>I realized long ago "playing house" with most spirits is not required at all. Ofc sometimes it is necessary to tame some forces but not necessary to force them to take a solid/visible form.
Could you explain that in more detail?
>You should ask your spirits to explain the best type of energy source for them.
Yeaaaahhh... you're playing universe messenger here, I am getting stern looks from all sides. I've seriously let that part of my life slide over the past, basically procrastinating with as much mundane reality as possible. But the message has been received, and I already got some positive feedback.
(I feel I have seriously neglected my Solar, who's recently been through some changes himself, and feel a tad guilty about that. I know I don't have to, but eh. )
> Personally I have a large energetic ecosystem which has the main purpose to restore the energy flow between the material and spiritual planes. This way everyone including spirits and humans can find what they need.
Oh man, you have no idea how exciting that sounds. I need to know more - if you don't mind sharing, that is.
>The energy is not just sustenance but a "reason to stay here".
Feeling a bit humbled that I didn't get that on my own!
>Also you can imbue spirits into your bodyparts for interesting powers and such. But I think the spirits will be able to explain their own capabilities.
I have a part of my Solar in my solarplexus which I never told anyone about because I figured I am just peculiarly insane ;) So I will definitely keep that in mind!

>If you want you can do a Picatrix thread too. It would be a good addition for this board.
If I could contribute anything more than "it's a great book with truly inspiring symbolism, the prayers are awesome, and there's a lot of Mesopotamian stuff in there", I would! But that's about the lot of it - I'm not super interested in the various celestial constellations because I'm hyperaware how these change over time, and making talismans properly (like, carving all the intricate figures) is not something I'm skilled enough in. So I "just" read it and used the elements that I could in my work.
Methodologically I come from a chaos magick/shamanism corner, mixed with several years of intense Jewish qabbalah, then hermeticism and thelema, and after that I started building my own system. The chaote mindset of "use what works" has never left me, and so that's how I approached the Picatrix. But if you guys think that would be worth exploring then I can make a thread :)
