Meta-discussion, suggestions, rules signed in blood for better or worse 名無し 04/17/2025 (Thu) 02:17:05 No. 359 >>404 >>420 >>723 >>1356 >>2082
Edited last time by hixxy on 04/23/2025 (Wed) 02:40:17.
Of course not.
>>360 Damn Well if you're not going to do anything with it are you able to transfer ownership? Sorry if I sound greedy It just makes me sad this place is dead. Or if not I can volunteer to be a janny
Haven't had as much time to post in it.
>>362 Oof Yeah understandable
>>363 However if does open back up, I can greatly contribute to it by posting movie clips dubbed in /jp/! There were some of them in /v/'s Japanese Learning thread
>>364 What's stopping you from doing it now 名無しさん?
>>361 What is your name on here so I can vol you?
>>365 Good point. When I got time I'll post them here >>354
I've been somewhat busy with catching up on health related things, but more than glad to revive this board for those that are interested.
>>368 That's nice. But, I suppose everyone will go back if(when) 4chan opens.
>>370 At most, another /jp/ bunker really couldn't hurt. I wasn't expecting these turn of events really. Just let me know if you want any changes made, suggestions, etc.
(325.62 KB 996x1136 111371934_p0.jpg)

where is he posting now? im searching the 2huAI and the others 2huposters
(24.78 KB 114x114 dtcoyi.png)

>>371 Testing to see if images on /jp/ appear on the homepage
>>373 Okay it doesn't seem to be the case which is fine by me. Given the test results, I would adapt the rules from >>>/a/ as far as requiring spoilers if there's sex/dicks and leaving 2D females untouched. I strongly recommend crossposting to >>>/a/ and >>>/v/ to request a board friendship alliance as far as them linking to this board in their main board message and vice versa as a place to visit.
Some more suggestions >don't replace the Japanese translation of the board's context menus back to English. It was like this on 8prime /jp/, those that post here will figure out what the context means >make a thread titled Post in this thread every time you visit /jp/ so that even those on limited time or are lazybones can have something minimal to post in as a sort of containment thread of fun & keep /jp/ from stagnating. Keep it sticked, don't delete it like the other BO. >the motto of /jp/ is 'Take it easy', keep that in mind for keeping the spirit alive Not really for BO but for any Nanashi lurking or posting >look for scenes from any Japanese movie or TV show you find interesting and post them in the video thread. It's still ok to post some anime now and then
(114.72 KB 300x300 ShionOG.png)

>>366 OP here, I'm willing to volunteer My username is ----- >>372 Not sure >>>/2hu/ seems to have been claimed and is open again but not much has been posted there...
Edited last time by hixxy on 04/17/2025 (Thu) 11:19:12.
>>376 I've added you as a vol.
>>374 Board has been marked as SFW, so now the homepage will show images. >Given the test results, I would adapt the rules from >>>/a/ as far as requiring spoilers if there's sex/dicks and leaving 2D females untouched. Acknowledged.
(18.67 KB 278x393 airdoll1.jpg)

>>378 >SFW Ehh... I don't know if I would go for that because >>>/a/ is NSFW and the rules I suggested adapting are work better for that nature. When I said 2D females being left untouched I forget to elaborate it was about nudity of them as the BO of /a/ is seemingly lax about it as long as sex/dicks are spoiled. Plus with how quirky some Japanese media can get, like Air Doll being the story of a Japanese man's inflatable sex doll coming to life & developing consciousness and eventually fall in love, or the graphic depictions in Japanese horror media, remaining NSFW would be the best option.
There's really nothing to gain from nsfw /jp/ (except not being able to open it in public)
(137.15 KB 400x400 Get in Jaypee.jpg)

Banners should be updated and reigned back in at 300 x 100 size
If we can add /a/ to our board friends here, then they'll be willing to put us in their's. >>>/a/12433 Let's make it happen!
(50.36 KB 640x480 nya.jpg)

>>397 Done, go ahead and give them a heads up
>>398 Excellent. Add one for /v/ as well

>>399 Added them as well if they're interested.
>>401 Nanashi, you made this? Wow
(96.67 KB 800x800 Popputepipikku.jpg)

>>359 (OP) I was a casual /jp/ lurker but only right before 4chan went down. I mostly posted on other boards. Honestly I'm mostly waiting for 4chan to come back up, but it going down made me realize how much I prefer chans/imageboards to basically any other internet "social media" or forum / discussion. I might stick around here as a secondary if/when it all comes back up, for something a little more niche or slow. Though if for some odd reason it never comes back, I suppose I would stick around permanently. If nothing else, watching you guys "put this place together" so to speak is interesting in itself.

>>403 The images themselves, no. Just modifying them into banners. Speaking of which, here's some more made. Want to aim at having rotation of different styles to reflect the nature of /jp/
>>404 Even as just as observer, you shall go in history
Wow the custom cursor and the KITA--- is really cool
>>411 It would be cooler to get the seasonal css themes working again. iirc in 8/jp/ it was >Winter <Snow + Letty >Spring Sakura petals >Summer <None that I remember, this would be an opportunity now for suggestions >Fall <Falling leaves + One of the Aki sisters
>>405 Comfy banners!
>>359 (OP) Shit here is dead, even 4chan /jp/ was dead once you ignored the glowies and SEAnigs. Basically anyone that cared about pre-vtuber /jp/ already moved on to JOP boards and forums when that disaster happened.
>>371 Add goddamn thread poster IDs if you can, beg the site admin to add them if you can't. This new /a/ is a pajeet shithole that is already getting full of gookslop spam because it doesn't have them.
>>421 Seconding, would be great to have IDs here.

Gathered some new falling leaves & sakura petals for when we do the seasonal themes. The site does have snow via css but it has a bad habit of tanking browser performance so I would much rather just lay some animated images
/v/ hasn't added us to their board friend list yet, so we might want to take them off for now until something works out. What is /jp/'s thoughts on >>>/wsj/ for another board alliance?
>>434 Do not make or do anything that would cause an influx until poster IDs are active.
Oh shit BO Make that Post ITT everytime you visit JP thread cyclial!

I'm awake. >>421 >>423 >>424 Poster IDs have been enabled. >>434 I see, will go ahead and remove them for now. >>437 Done
>>440 Great! Hoping the alliance with >>>/wsj/ works since they also have /a/. I don't think there's anything left besides making the seasonal CSS themes but they can wait for now. Got an idea we could do to attract anons to /jp/... In old 8/jp/ they used to stream random Japanese movies & videos on cytube. Now with https://8chan.tv/ though, it might be a great idea to host streaming nights of various Japanese media, whether they're dubbed in that language or the real deal. >>>/vhs/ used to do that here. Thoughts?
>>440 Damn the madlad really came back. I dogeza for being a cynical nigger thinking you wouldn't reply at all like 4chan jannies. Then I dogeza again for adding IDs. Now for a more serious suggestion now that you are taking them, I really, and I do mean REALLY, recommend you to take a rock solid hard stance against chink and gookslop in particular, if they don't like it they can make /ch/ and /kr/ respectively. Not making this hard stance and allowing shitposters to slowly worm their way in with gray area shit like hololive EN, etc, was one of the primary reason 4chan's /jp/ went to absolute shit. I would say that is also how /a/ fell due to shit like solo leveling and all the gahaslop anime, but frankly crunchyroll having control of some janny spots there was the undiagnosed terminal cancer that killed it.
(214.72 KB 4096x2304 SBywM1SCbtA.jpg)

>>440 Nice >>443 Sounds quite nice >>447 Oh yeah definitely I'd say we need a proper set of board specific rules, cuz right now it's kind of a grey area aside from global and being sfw
>>449 >I'd say we need a proper set of board specific rules, cuz right now it's kind of a grey area aside from global and being sfw I think we can agree on... >absolutely no chinkshit or gookshit. This is /jp/, not /ch/ or /kr/ >porn has to be spoiled >take it easy
>>451 Sounds good to me
>>443 Do let me know when they're ready for that alliance. As for the community streaming, I have nothing against it, but I sadly won't have much part in it or being able to stream for others. It would be best that someone can organize that and manage if that becomes a thing of interest. >>447 >>449 >>451 >>456 It is settled, new rule has been added. This one I can strongly agree with. Might be needing to add an another vol for the board. But it needs to be someone with experience of moderating and knowing what usually gets posted here.
>English dubs of /jp/ media is discouraged, this is undub territory. You have other places if you want dubs >English subtitles in /jp/ is fine, provided they aren't of the same type made from modern-day localizers that loathe /jp/ media & are only doing it to subvert /jp/ Thoughts, /jp/?
>>459 >Might be needing to add an another vol for the board. But it needs to be someone with experience of moderating and knowing what usually gets posted here. Why not ask hob who volunteered to help /a/? >>>/a/6925 I think that's who runs >>>/wsj/ If the /wsj/ alliance works out, then /jp/ will be in good standing with them and /a/ because we'll all have each other as friends.
>>464 >English subtitles in /jp/ is fine, provided they aren't of the same type made from modern-day localizers that loathe /jp/ media & are only doing it to subvert /jp/ Translations were never fine. Before moralnigger localizers of the 10s and 20s there were wagies using google translate not giving a shit because "it's just chinky weebslop who cares?". That said, modern localizers also don't know japanese and rely on MTL, so not much has changed there, the attitude is even exactly the same, just with a "who cares? And I can fix it with my superior western writing anyway" added at the end.
>>371 >>440 >>459 ban or add to spam filters the use of ww2 slurs like "jap" and "nip", you should have a zero tolerance rule for this just like how loli continues being the main normalfag filter at large, the use and defending of those words are the subversive kike's dogwhistle to call other faggots to undermine japanese media communities likewise normal posters that like japanese culture tend to gracefully drop those words off their vocab once the ww2 slur context gets pointed out to them, even if they initially kneejerk react like "dont be such a snowflake" or some shit also explicitly point out "jp" is one word less if they really want to abbreviate because thats THE excuse they always use and for the "no chink/gook media" rule, add the addendum of >trying to play rule sharking with "is x allowed" with grey area media like korean series animated in japan, japanese-inspired media like western "J"RPGs, or japanese series with outsourced work, may result in a ban at the moderation's discretion
>>467 I mean you can just ignore the subs
/wsj/ has accepted the alliance with /jp/! See here >>>/wsj/790 With them linked with /a/ & /a/ linked with them and us, we make ourselves quite the team!
>>378 >Board has been marked as SFW but why? where else are /ona/ posters go if it's not here...?
>>479 Just use spoilers. Or you can make a /ona/ board
>>481 my brother in Jojo's p7 Christ, we are already fragmented as it is, IMO every /jp/ refugee should be invited in here and after there's enough of us then we can split topics :(
>>469 Seconding this, allowing this shit is the canary in the mine for a community going full ironic weeb. The gooks are also slimy as shit and love derailing threads arguing definitions. >>479 Apparently "all blue" boards allow NSFW if you spoil it.
>>469 Thirding.
>>469 Absolutely retarded idea. Is the concept of banter foreign to you? It's fully possible to 'lovingly' use insults when discussing things which you actually have a positive relationship with. >but muh slurs waaahh Nigga are you serious? Did you just come here from reddit?
>>469 fourthing this

>>501 Merely a decade ago I would have easily agreed with you because at the end of the day it's just words. However in the long run after said decade, especially the last 2 years? Not so much. At best, avoiding it is basic courtesy like living like a neet but taking a bath before going to see other neetbros and the people that don't do such really stick out. At worst it's actually subversive shit to undermine JP media communities.
>>687 >However in the long run after said decade, especially the last 2 years? Not so much. This. Before the refugees migrated here though, this site also had an annoying spammer (niggerpill) that would find anything negative going on with Japan the country or their media & shit out their doomposting.

>>469 This sounds like some really unnecessary faggotry. Having anti-chink/gookshit rules plus this just not being 4chan should already be enough to drive off what few of those posters would manage to make their way here to begin with.
>>763 sounds like jewish subversion to me, rules this, ban that, same playbook as always, hopefully the BO is smart enough to see our enemies shenanigans
>>763 >>764 If /co/ bans the use of "westoid" and "goyslop" that would be fine by me. If /ch/ bans "chink" and "bugman" then good for them. If /kr/ bans "gook" and the pinching emoji then I see no issue with it. At this point, especially after recent happenings, a clear line in the sand has to be drawn to stop ironic weeb faggotry. The past 6 months have convinced me it's impossible to actively like something while actively insulting it, those that do don't actually like it, those that like it are not going to insult it even ironically. I have seen way too much shit fall due to allowing the "you can like something but still be critical of it goy" backdoor.
can a hiragana captcha be added like some jp-only games do on account creation? even if it's only until your ID has 5 posts or something it would filter 99% of the retards while only mildly annoying real posters, especially those used to 4chan's captcha faggotry
>>767 >I have seen way too much shit fall due to allowing the "you can like something but still be critical of it goy" backdoor. I think this is handled by IDs. It makes it clear if someone is just using it as a thin facade to cover for shitstirring. >The past 6 months have convinced me it's impossible to actively like something while actively insulting it, those that do don't actually like it, those that like it are not going to insult it even ironically. I'm really curious as to what makes you say this, especially in the past six months specifically.
>>768 Don't think it's possible. You should forward that to the site staff at >>>/site/
>>768 I think this is a bit overkill since the population right now seems very small, things need to be simple at first to retain some posters and then add stuff depending of how things evolve over time.

Uhh, is there a way to properly render sjis encoding independently from other text in a post? Like sjis tag or something. I want to post sjis art without turning it into broken mess because of the wrong encoding...
>>757 Looks like we got /m/ as of >>>/m/502
>>788 Don't think the site has such a tag yet, worth bringing it up to the staff at >>>/site/ Some ASCII works as long as it isn't too big to be broken by the automatic resizer. ., . _,'f----.._ |\ ,-'"/ | ,' |,_ ,--. / /,-. ,'`. (_ f o| o|__ "`-. ,-._.,--'_ `. _.,-` `"' ___.,'` j,-' `-.__.,--'

>>767 >>769 to me it's starting to look like this call for social micromanagement/restriction that starts with something small like slurs is the real subversive action to undermine the free flowing and irreverent nature of chan culture

I'm going to really, really miss the vntl threads. Like a lot.
Requesting vtumor threads to be banned on sight They're disproportionately faster than the rest of the board (was true for 4/jp/, will no doubt hold true here as well), they're a complete cesspool of schizophrenic nonsense, and they have at least 3 other boards for that anyway
>>1093 yeah pretty much this, there's already a vtuber board, we shouldn't have to put up with eceleb shit
>>1093 seconding
The cats is so cute.
>>1093 I'll check if BO is okay with it
>>1093 JAPANESE vtubers will always be otaku culture and you can't change that.
>>1198 I agree with you, and their threads being faster is not a real argument on why their threads should not be allowed. But take a look at the latest hours at the thread here >>510 Is there any actual discussion going on there?
>>1157 >>1162 otacultureBoard@proton.me It might be helpful. No other way really besides this and a de-listed board.
Seems like its picking up pace now.
>>1201 Their threads are much faster and much more retarded than the rest of the board, thus requiring much more janitorial attention and time invested into tard wrangling them, meaning there's less time invested into tard wrangling the rest of the board. They're a liability and I don't think they need to have a special club here when they have upwards of 3 boards that are all super active.
(837.62 KB 1299x1479 82095431_p8.jpg)

To give more room for other threads where discussion/content is there and to mitigate the issue with hololive/japanese vtuber thread(s), they'll periodically face needing to be bumplocked, or indefinitely kept that way if such threads aren't really providing engagement in the same way and just sitting at the top of all other threads. Again, sorry for getting to things late.

Has been a good while since i don't open 8chan.moe(3 weeks). But should we post more here since 4chan was hacked <and deleted including the fact that 4chan has became a dumpster of monkeys, so a good start can help i guess.
>>359 (OP) So, do we (I) bring back the Gravure and AV threads?
>>1354 I add to this that since the board is small we should take it easy with the rules and filters, we don't have shitposters here (yet)

>>375 >don't replace the Japanese translation of the board's context menus back to English Well, you can change that putting it on where it says: >Default CSS to: >Yotsuba (For the classic 4chan theme) >Yukkuri (For this theme but with the actual texts)
>>1359 >we don't have shitposters here (yet) i'm really enjoying that, i'm not gonna lie ^v^
>>1359 I'm enjoying the slow and easy nature of the board currently, and I agree on us being lax for now. As time goes on, more and more people from 4chan's /jp/ will flood in here, and they're bound to cause problems. It's just something to keep in mind for the future, strictly on a "need to add" basis
>>1356 Sure I'd say it's fine as long as it's SFW
>>1356 To a certain degree that a SFW board could allow for. For that to change, it'll depend mostly on the thoughts of others with un-spoilered stuff.
>>1366 the 2 threads he mentioned as well as an onahole thread survived just fine as SFW threads originally, and although i didn't use any of them i believe they were mostly problem free for what its worth
>>1369 All seems good to go for making the threads in that case
Please put the Cardcaptor Sakura OP on loop. Go all the way. ALL THE WAY.
Update the Gravure thread OP with the archived template >>1414
>>1387 Added it up there next to board friends >>1311 Forgot to mention, or so, put more emphasis on what I really mean by periodically. Each thread of theirs will be met with this, but bumped and then bumplocked after to give them some visibility. Their current one will get visibility, in this instance. If a new one pops up, the old will get locked.

>>1387 >>1420 Groovy.
a very small thing, it would be nice if the post got highlighted better when hovering over the reply. Right now if they are both on screen all it does is give a very small dotted line.
>>469 Apparently >>>/kr/ just got made and people are actually moving there. No point in doing this now unless bad actors intentionally raid.
>>1364 >As time goes on, more and more people from 4chan's /jp/ will flood in here Even if the entirety of 4chan's /jp/ at the time of the shut down moved here it would barely be faster than it is now. If you exclude the hololive threads, then we are at about 70% of the non-/vt/ activity that board used to have, the only people missing are the eroge and VN generals and even then the era games general and untranslated VN generals are already here. Past that basically the only things remaining are the random 2hu coomposting threads and the gravure/AV threads, and the latter are going to be here soon if you said it was fine to do so.

>>2038 I detest ID's but I'm a grognard and realised I've developed a fundemental attachment to anonymity on par with an American's attachment to firearms. There are precious few places with it, don't like throwing it away when the shitposters people posit it dealing with will just reset their IPs if they're dedicated enough to be a problem. Doesn't help that in the other board I'm frequenting that is using ID's currently it's just shit up by people being schizo's over anyone with "only" 1 post. It's turned "lurk more" on it's head and stinks of forum faggotry with people spam posting low quality garbage to acrue post count and then having the audacity to try and police posts. Obviously depends on the board culture - maybe here will fare better, but if the place is shit enough that people are proposing throwing away anonymity for ID's tom combat it, the IDs probably aren't going to fix it being a shithole and will just breed a different type of shitposting. Like I started my post though, I detest this on a spiritual level and have an innate distrust of the motives of people advocating stripping what has been such a core facet of these boards.

>>2060 Both are cancer that killed the old /jp/. Vtubers also have their own board and plenty of places to talk. As for 3dpd, it's gross and the people who post in those are degenerates who simp over random Japanese women #9024534338. They're cancerous and flooded the old /jp/ with 50 million fucking generals.

>>2080 It's interesting that the people who are most against IDs are so because of their experience of other boards and have a curious lack of knowledge of /jp/ culture. I mean, I guess this board is mostly populated by refugees from the original /jp/, so the culture as such should also be the same. People on /jp/ have always wanted to have genuine discussions about extremely niche hobbies that they can't discuss anywhere else, IDs help to protect just that in a way.

>>2121 3DPD are indeed disgusting but personally I don't have an issue with just ignoring them and they are at least somewhat otaku related. It's vtumors that honestly shouldn't be allowed here on basis of the extreme low quality of their posts and threads, if you ever poked your head into the 24/7 general on 4/jp/ you would know. Not to speak of how they are at most as related to otaku or japanese culture as any random streamer or e-clown.

Their previous thread is locked, but they made a new one. I'm not entirely familiar with what goes in their threads since I haven't been to 4/jp/ probably at the earliest of when they got popular there. So from this learning experience, now I know (sort of). They're one sick puppy just screaming HIT ME! compared to everyone else. >>2052 (381) even has me more open to the idea of banning such threads. We could just go back to how /jp/ really was without popularity of something else.
>>2193 They are called tumors for a reason after all, their existence in 4/jp/ was permitted out of the head jannies literally hating the board and its posters.
>>2194 Don't kid yourself. They loathed OG /a/ too, which is why they opened the borders for the narutards and other shounenspics to rape and replace the original population. Same thing happened on 4/jp/ with how conveniently they took so long to make /vt/ and only did so once OG /jp/ was deader than dead.
We'll go ahead and ban vtuber threads. They aren't exactly coming to the meta thread with their own complaints or caring about the quality of their thread which was largely lite/indirect erp.

>>2218 Really doubt you will get that many more people than this, /jp/ got raped to death for years trying to kill otaku culture. Everyone either went to gensokyo with a rope/bleach or to japanese sites for discussion.
>>2239 The most important part will be to retain quality posting and discussions to have the closest thing to old /jp/ back. I don't think 4chan will come back until May so there's still time to attract those anons.
>>2238 That thread survived to the end despite the usual 3 schizos constantly messing it up. The late January thread was definitely the most serious case of spamming in quite some time.
>>2238 I think the VN generals were going to die after that one, we already had a lot of korean media spammers and vtuberfags derailing some threads. To add to that some janny was either a translator in the industry or a friend of theirs, because posts calling out objectively atrocious translations were starting to get deleted too.
>>2206 What is this boards position on otaku music threads? Is the Utaite & Vsinger Thread from /jp/ welcome here? For now, I've only hesitated to make a thread because our thread is historically slow on 4chan when compared with the vocaloid thread. And the vocaloid thread here is currently very slow (I believe many just went to /leek/ instead). For more examples, the doujin music thread, AKG thread, anisong and regular music thread haven't migrated here either. I want to make it clear that it focuses on discussion of music and most anons do not really discuss vtubers outside of the context of song releases, but vtubers are not off topic in such threads when it is related to their music. It is impossible to avoid this overlap in 2025 due to the nature of the scene's evolution. We also overlap with vocaloid covers, yakousei, denpa, doujin circle music (m3, etc), NND utaite contests such as vocacolle, and also overlap with the other music threads that occasionally exist in the catalog like the ones I mentioned above. I do not plan to make a thread yet, but in the event that things did not recover, I was planning on settling in here, so I'd rather know up front. One of the reasons that the most recent iteration of the Utaite & Vsinger thread was created (2023) was specifically to get away from the /vt/ board, as the posters on separate boards don't exactly align in their interests (music focus versus caring about individual vtuber focus). If the thread ever does migrate here, expect it to be extremely slow, except for major events such as when Ado is on tour. There was an occasional threadshitter or two, which post IDs should easily eliminate. Talking about this thread for example: https://warosu.org/jp/thread/48769762

>>2247 I'll allow it. More specifically, we want to avoid threads that mainly focus on vtubers in the same and similar fashion of >>510 where complaints were being made and were a cause for being banned in the first place. I'll update the rule on this matter, and hope that problems do not arise.
>>2251 The irony of a (1) showing up the second someone complains about the EOPs being janny protected is not lost on me. >>2256 So why did the antijapan gooks pushing for AI and other forms of MTL instead of learning japanese never had their posts deleted first? If at all. Often you would be the one getting a 3 day for merely reporting them even if you didn't engage with them. The last month before the shutdown 4chan was practically unusable without ban evading due to multiple flavors of bullshit.
>>2256 Good thing here you can just hide people by ID then.
>>2260 I have never gotten banned in the 10+ years I've been using /jp/. Maybe the problem is you, anon.
>>2257 Thank you for the quick reply and reasonable answer. I have no issues with the rule if that's the case, since I'm only advocating for otaku music threads. Vtubers have a separate board, so it makes sense to me.
>>2258 I saw the rule update. Honestly, I think the way you worded it in your post is better than the way it reads on the page. "Threads that mainly focus on vtubers are not allowed" is simple enough as the thread does not mainly focus on vtubers, so we'd be fine. I don't anticipate an issue with the thread, I just think that calling out the singular "Utaite & Vsinger Thread" in Rule 4 itself gives motivation to someone with bad intentions to shit up the thread in order to get Rule 4 modified. And in the case that pervasive issues did ever arise, I wouldn't want to disturb the board's peace, so I'd just say to kill it if that ever happened.
>>2278 That was a good call there. I'm not exactly at optimal concentration in times like this and making things right. But if /jp/ is happy, then I am happy. I'll need to dismiss myself for now and rest.

>>3022 5 keiki ez
>>3022 Thinking about the icons posted now, perhaps Keiki looks the best as far as it representing Oekaki and having a little color behind her for a little flair as opposed to the rest of the 2hus posted. It also matches with her lore and gives a new 2hu to shine.
>>3026 And I just realized her name rhymes. >Keiki <Oekaki Boom, we got the 2hu!
>>3022 Actually, Keiki makes the most sense, yeah
>>3026 >and having a little color behind her for a little flair Could you elaborate on this perhaps? Replacing the brush symbol with Keiki can be done. We probably don't want to stray too far from the current theme and still have it match.
>>3037 I mean, it makes sense since the three have been around for some years, Kissu the longest I believe. 8/jp/ was just revived after it had died many years ago with 8prime. It'll take 4chins dying again (which I can see given that almost nothing was fixed) or 4/jp/ being irredeemably enshittified by a new vtumor-like fad for 8/jp/ to properly take off as an alternative like those three. For now 8/jp/ serves as a pretty good bunker with some activity.
Thoughts on potentially adding >>>/idol/ to /jp/'s list of friends? And maybe >>>/tg/?
>>3039 If they're fine with it and do the same, then sure, they can be friends too
>>3050 We got /tg/! >>>/tg/3441
(502.00 B 32x32 cursor with arrow.png)

Thoughts on the cursor with a very little arrow added to the top left corner to help with clicking on stuff?
>>3037 Wap is barren outside of the 2huVN and Soku threads. Hikari3 is DEAD to the point it wasn't even considered an alternative during downtime. Kissu is the only one with a semblance of activity, but it's a giant pain in the ass to navigate. Get the fuck out.
Something about this thread spesifically is making my browser lag.
>>3078 It's got over 300 posts.
>>3079 I see, went to the Hololive thread and indeed it had the same issue. How come other boards on 8 have threads with 1000+ posts that don't lag?
>>3080 I'm 99% sure the board's custom css is at fault here.
>>3080 Does >>>/a/5378 also lag on your end?
>>3085 Nope, only here have I experienced lag while just typing up a reply. There is also that cat, I can see it move at like 2 frames per second where other smaller threads it's moving much smoother.
>>3071 I have no problem with it. You will need to provide the other half of it though. And given its original size has not been changed, the cursor hot spot probably doesn't need to change, which is good. >>3082 This.

>>3098 Here's the other half. Peeking at the CSS, wouldn't it make more sense to remove the animation keyframes and stick with just one of the attached animated wands? I notice that the cursor flickers in doing those keyframes. * { cursor:url('/.media/8YOUR_CHOSEN_CURSOR'S_HASH.png') -10 10, auto; }
>>3101 >>3101 Huh, APNG doesn't seem to work for cursors. These GIFs should though.
>>3102 >the GIF cursor doesn't animate either Never mind, I guess keyframes will have to do even with the bit of flickering. Just change the file hash and extension of the wands provided, using this code format here so that it works in all domains of the site >>3101
>>3050 We got /idol/! >>>/idol/171
