>This war was perpetrated by the Kremlin.
>This has been evident in their actions since 2003
You mean when two of the signatories of the Budapest memorandum violated the treaty by having the UK and US instigate a color revolution?
From the sauce
>Confirm the following:
>1 The Russian Federation, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and The United States of America reaffirm their commitment to Ukraine, in accordance with the principles of the CSCE Final Act, to respect the independence and sovereignty and the existing borders of Ukraine.
>Russia, USA, UK reaffirms their commitment to Ukraine to respect the independence and sovereignty and the existing borders of Ukraine.
This means NO OVERTHROWING OF GOVERNMENTS!
> 3 The Russian Federation, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and The United States of America reaffirm their commitment to Ukraine, in accordance with the Principles of the CSCE Final Act, to refrain from economic coercion designed to subordinate to their own interest the exercise by Ukraine of the rights inherent in its sovereignty and thus to secure advantages of any kind.
>refrain from economic coercion
This means NO ECONOMIC BLACKMAIL (which lead to the Maidan events of 2014).
Russias invasion didn't even violate the memorandum as they followed the UN charter (by recognizing the independence of Lugansk and Donetsk and forming a defensive alliance with them, see point 2)

>before russia invaded and illegally occupied parts of ukraine in 2014 most ukrainians didn't really dislike russia
Crimea, if you look it up, is an autonomous region.
During the US lead coup in 2014, the autonomous region decided to ask Russia for help and protection.
This is the only place Russian troops participated and objectively speaking that was 100% legal.
Even without a coup this would have been legal due to Crimeas special status.
As for the other regions, if the government is ousted via a coup then they have a legitimate claim when they say no and decide to go their own way.
