Russia Discovers 50 Billion Barrels of Oil in Burkina Faso Anonymous 04/22/2025 (Tue) 11:27:57 Id: 1f561d No. 34092
Russia Discovers 50 Billion Barrels of Oil in Burkina Faso After France’s Exit In the heart of the Sahel, where cracked earth stretches endlessly beneath a burning sun, you don’t expect to strike oil. Burkina Faso wasn’t supposed to be that kind of place. There were no legends of gushing wells, no offshore rigs, no powerful oil dynasties. It was known for its cotton, not crude. But in early 2025, beneath layers of sand and silence, a secret was pulled from the ground—an oil reserve so vast, it flipped every assumption about this country on its head. For decades, international companies bypassed Burkina Faso entirely. The big players—ExxonMobil, Shell, TotalEnergies—focused on established fields in Nigeria, Angola, Algeria. Burkina Faso? Too dry. Too risky. Too far from any port to matter. Exploration was minimal. Geopolitical instability scared investors. And yet, right under everyone’s nose, a buried empire of oil lay untouched. https://africanvibes(Please use archive.today)/gazproms-uncovers-50-billion-oil-in-burkina-faso/
>>34092 Big if true for Burkino Faso. Though, that shit is going to take some years to build infrastructure for it. We've had many "Y resources found in X country," and we hardly feel the impacts as people forget about it in 2 weeks. It's just a repeat of things like China finds tonnes of gold or America finds tons of rare earth metals!
>>34108 >to take some years times changed. today they can build pipelines in few month..
>>34092 >a buried empire of oil lay untouched. Sounds like that place needs some democracy
>>34092 Godawful writing. As if Boris Johnson personally wrote it. Bloated and factually wrong cringe prose that leaves all important questions unanswered, like for example "Where is that oil deposit located?" Everything from the second headline on looks like copypasted from Deepseek. How did you even find that? I can't see any other source for that claim. Is that your newsblog?
>>34092 A lot of officers could buy shades and luxury cars with that
>>34092 >>34108 Historically true, but that's what they said about Guyana not that long ago. Burkinas biggest challenge is the water issue, they are gonna find themselves needing to import a shit ton for production purposes. One of the first things the new junta should be looking into is expanding water import infrastructure from whatever friends that can spare it and get pipelines going. Oil companies will foot that bill as part of development costs.
>>34142 God awful is whatever fucking retarded no-data source you tried posting there
REMEMBER: If Putin does ANYTHING in foreign policy it’s because oil is involved. Russia’s energy literally pays for Putin’s power structure and is everything to him and his circle. HOWEVER, Putin only takes action in order to protect his energy exports to Europe, he’s much less interested in just developing new reserves around the world, it’s not about getting into Africa’s energy market, he wants to keep it OUT of Europe. It’s the same model as Syria.

>>34363 The model is to protect and support foreign leaders in exchange for stopping business relationships with European energy markets. It’s about setting up and protecting “friendly” leaders who remain indebted to Putin, reliant on Putin’s support (ie bribery) while Russia maintains hard power in the country in case they need to exert hard power to stop energy deals with Europe. That’s why I was able to predict that Putin would do ANYTHING to stay in Syria. I understand what the game is.
>>34370 >That’s why I was able to predict that Putin would do ANYTHING to stay in Syria. Bad prediction cause he abandoned Assad and left Tartus naval base months ago. He clearly didn't do anything that was available.

(360.90 KB 1714x829 IMG_1994.jpeg)

>>34422 I never once retreated from the position that Putin would never let go of the bases even when news was coming out that they were leaving. As it turns out they’re staying after all. In REALTY it’s the US that’s pulling out.
>>34114 I assume they have to build the infrastructure to extract it then the infrastructure to either transport it to a foreign refinery or build more infrastructure to refine it domestically (unlikely). Assuming landlocked Burkino doesn't require additional infrastructure in neighboring countries to reach global markets and what >>34350 said, I'm not as optimistic when it come to speed. Even the Russians said it'll take years to build oil pipelines to China that were previously going to Europe. I bet Kino will use chinese workers to ultimately build it if they want it done quickly like the Chinese has been doing all over Africa (though I assume most of their efforts are in East Africa). >>34142 I thought they were some random African news organization, but it appears the news source is based in California for diaspora africans after doing some surface level digging lol.

>>34092 the filthy jew scum are profiting of those poor niggers, people really need to ask themselves if european colonialism was even close to as bad for those niggers as this
>>34092 Big if true. My hope is that Traore becomes the next Gadaffi or Sankara in terms of domestic policy just with Russian bases, those maybe could have prevented both of their deaths. What makes be believe this is that there is already a smear campaign on Traore launched by Americans and no doubt France.
>>34422 >left Tartus naval base months ago That never happened, the Russians have not left any of their bases
There is some much oil in the Russian Far East, They just need to put more effort in moving people to the area.
