Huawei HarmonyOS PC launching in May Anonymous 05/03/2025 (Sat) 14:08:57 Id: c6de8c No. 43025
Yu Chengdong, Executive Director, Chairman of the Consumer BG, and Intelligent Automotive Solutions BU at Huawei officially announced that the first HarmonyOS PC is launching in May. This is a big development for the Huawei device ecosystem and a driving force for its continuously evolving HarmonyOS operating system. Though, the Huawei consumer business chief previous indicated about such a product in the future but this time, he came up with an official confirmation and a date. Previous leaks about the HarmonyOS PC software revealed that the design will be slightly different for PC and Notebook devices. That includes a status bar on the top side with various information similar to a smartphone. It’s like a control center with various quick settings. It will have an application dock with system and third-party applications. The software will also have dedicated widgets optimized for large and small screens. Yu Chengdong has not elaborated on a specific PC or notebook model that will launch with HarmonyOS. It is promoted with HarmonyOS NEXT, which means it will have native app support, and it won’t be running any of the previous gen mobile applications. That also suggests that the app could be multi-platform supported but its developer guidelines are likely to be different for PCs. Partnership with Microsoft Huawei’s MateBook branded notebook uses Microsoft’s Windows. It is one of the few companies that still get a special pass to continue business with the Chinese tech maker after the US ban. As mentioned above, the HarmonyOS PC is being promoted with HarmonyOS NEXT, native app ecosystem could halt such devices from entering in the global market. It’s also possible that the PC would remain limited to Chinese consumers, and Huawei may continue selling Windows PC for global consumers. However, we’ll get more answers when the Huawei actually launches HarmonyOS PC in May. https://archive.today/https://www.huaweicentral.com/huawei-harmonyos-pc-launching-in-may/

Ma question is: Huawei literally make tourist tours to its factories. you can book them. Why the fuck are kike medias so afraid to come there for a visit? Satellite imagery obtained by the FT shows how the Guanlan factories, built in the same distinctive style, have been rapidly developed after construction started in 2022. The facilities, details of which have not been reported previously, demonstrate Huawei’s ambitions to become a semiconductor leader, boosting China’s effort to challenge the US in developing technologies such as artificial intelligence. “Huawei has embarked on an unprecedented effort to develop every part of the AI supply chain domestically from wafer fabrication equipment to model building,” said Dylan Patel, founder of chip consultancy SemiAnalysis. “We have never seen one company attempt to do everything before.” Huawei operates one of the sites, according to people with knowledge of the matter, who said it would make its 7-nanometre smartphone and Ascend AI processors — the company’s first effort to manufacture its own high-end chips. Two other sites completed last year are operated by chip equipment maker SiCarrier and memory-chip maker SwaySure. While Huawei denies links with the two start-ups, industry insiders said the company was connected to the groups by helping to raise investment and sharing staff and technology.
>>43112 I hate Windows and would also like to see more alternatives. I personally use GNU/Linux on my PCs.
>>43025 I'm glad that more open source hardware is being produced, but I wouldn't necessarily trust it over some americunt hardware. If glowchinks can figure out how to backdoor a computer, a 14eyes/SSEUR glownigger can figure out how to exploit that backdoor. Regardless, it's an interesting development.
So…..a Linux distro with all of your CCP backdoor and monitoring needs a built in? Sounds like a winner.
>>43332 >>43337 would you rather be monitored by a country elsewhere, or the country you live in where the government has made it clear time and time again that it wants to eradicate you? swear some of you fellas have a beaten wifes menality
>>43356 Neither. It doesn’t matter if it’s a chink one or a White one, both governments would want you dead if you opposed them.
