It was warranted. 4chan didn't really start being accepting of furries until the Undertale demo came out. What was REALLY the foot in the door that set the precedent for activist mods was General Rule 15. It set the precedent that if you whined hard enough about something and falseflagged enough, you could get anything banned from the entire site to a "containment board".
