Or just Christian references and allegories in general. A lot of Fairy Tales as we know them today have heavy Christian themes, including the Norse Myths which were interpreted by early Monks. For the Japanese side Neon Genesis Evangelion had a lot of Christian symbolism and allegory. Even shows like DxD have a lot of these things.

Reposting a take I wrote a while back I was rewatching some episodes of Transformers: Prime. One of the best Transformers series in my opinion despite the shit-show of a production. Anyway Airachnid, the spider-femme decepticon reminded me of Cinder. The Japanese dub even has a hilarious yandere aspect, especially regarding her rivalry/relationship with Jack Darby and Arcee (kinda similar to the Ruby-Jaune vs Cinder dynamic). *Gina Torres' voice also has a similar sultry, slightly husky flair that fits and is similar to Cinder's (Jessica Nigri). Now what would be some epic crossover art. I need to lock in on life; I have so much work to do right now. Part of what I love about Cinder is her single minded determination. She is absolutely relentless. She's been knocked down so many times in her life and every time she's got back up. Jaune is like that as well, but it's something that the fandom recognizes a little more.

I've probably asked this before but: Maiden powers vs Semblance evolution. Do you guys think Cinder should keep the maiden powers or reject them as a form of growth? Personally I'm in the favor of the latter. Feels better for her to have something entirely her own. Though I dont have confidence that the writers will ever do anything with semblances.

Cinder's usage of her Semblance was a bit expanded on mostly with her using it through other mediums than her hands or as a long-range delayed explosion, but the true potential is never explored past V2 and the usage of glyphs to reshape her Stealth Suit into a dress. Heck, she rarely uses the other elements or abilities of the Maiden's beyond fire (primarily V5 when she ices Raven). I've always imagined that at her peak she'd be kinda like Mereoleona from Black Clover, pic rel.

Semblances are generally something they have to avoid because they simply can't afford it. SO most of them suck. That and the writers arent very creative or imaginative. Robyn's semblance is probably the biggest example of that. Or Maria's. Notice how the writers dont explore magic either. The maidens generally dont do anything beyond elemental stuff even though they apparently said the maidens could do more.
