Because you're essentially putting the person who killed their scared cow in a good light. Giving Cinder death is viewed as the ultimate testament to the love of Arkos. Proving that Jaune would kill for her and avenge her death. Hence why giving Cinder love instead of death feels like an insult. Again it "might" be disrespectful if Jaune & Pyrrha were in an actual relationship. But that was never the case. Which is a reality that a lot of people aren't ready to grapple with.

Knightfall would be reverse of them, flipping "lovers to enemies" to "enemies to lovers." It would be triumph of redemption, showing reconciliation between Salem and Ozma was and still is possible. For that special niche, I don't think any other pair (besides Ozlem) can capture that. All other major rivalries either lack intensity or setup. As for pairings who thematically make sense with Salem and Ozma, Rosegarden works as a new version of Salem and Ozma, but likely with them breaking out of cycle and not becoming enemies. Just like Knightfall they have some shared imagery with Salem and Ozma. Other canon pairs have some shared themes with Ozlem, like Bees and Renora (Emercury could work). Lancaster also has some but show seems to be uninterested in it. Whiteknight could theoretically work with it but shows seems to be going for making Weiss Salem who saved herself instead of relying on a knight.

There are some arguments for Lancaster or WK you could make but they ultimately just scratch the surface of what KF accomplishes. KF if it happens would radically change the story in ways that WK and Lancaster just can't. Theres no meaningful change or impact on the plot with those two.

If you guys had the chance to rename the ship what would you call it? Like if you had to choose an alternative name what would you stick with? What name is most appropriate? Because as nice as KF sounds it does give the impression of Jaune the Knight becoming fallen or falling from grace. When really the point of Knightfall is Cinder's rise & redemption.

Golden Furnace, Crimson Shield, Golden Flames have potential but they all ultimately fall short. Ketchup & Mustard is just wild.
