What are some interesting crossover fics? I used to read a lot of then back in the day and a lot of then used to do the same thing of "x" character is thrown into Beacon ad going Remnant and redo the show's plot. Makes me curious what other scenarios people have done.

That being said, there's unfortunately a lot of garbage fics in it too. Most of the time crossovers are either smutty fetish material or [X]-Shonen protag harem-shit, where the author self-inserts a favorite character into the RWBY verse. There is good stuff, but it can be... difficult.

Ignoring marketability (or lack thereof), I unironically think that the JSA would have gone better with RWBY than the Justice League since the JSA actually has young women that Team RWBY could have bounced off of like Stargirl, Hawkgirl, Jade, or Cyclone, mixed in with more aggravating personalities like Wildcat or Hawkman. Not to mention that part of the modern JSA’s function is the training of younger heroes, which Team RWBY would certainly benefit from. Unless they decide Jay, Alan Wildcat, and Hawkman are too old and too male to be able to teach them anything of value about being heroes.

This would be a nice crossover for me specifically. Helen playing with Alyx, Lewis, and Juniper while Jaune and Hal watch and Hal offers Jaune advice and wisdom as a fellow fallen hero. Of course there’s a problem with Hal being the Spectre, he could probably just send them all home immediately and save Remnant while he does it. Then again as the Spectre, Hal displays a “let God’s plan play out” kinda attitude. Most of the time.

One thing about The JL x RWBY movies I will say is that at least in some ways the story, designs and characterizations were better than the comics, The named JL/RWBY comic is completely different save for some design appearances for JL characters. Rather than a shared, cross-dimensional VR simulation, it takes place in an Alternate Universe where Justice League characters are re-imagined as parts of Remnant. It's the DC/RWBY comics where Team RWBY end up in the DC-verse, but that's about as similar as the plot gets. Design wise I think the JL movies were cleaner and more distinct and underutilized characters are included, like Vixen. Barry Allen's design in the comics feels lazy; he's a turtle faunus but the trait is just some scales on his elbows. The movie Flash isn't great but it's at least more creative. In the comics Batman has Bat Ears as his faunus trait, cool and useful, but Bat Wings are too and a lot more demonstrative for the small subplot of Batman experiencing real, tangible super-powers when he had none before, hit harder. Frankly speaking the second movie (the worse one) is closer to the DC/RWBY comic series rather than the JL comic series, what with Grimm running amock and the DC-design Team RWBY looking similar. Weiss' dynamic with Bruce in the first movie is the dynamic she had with Cyborg in the comics with the latter being shifted over to Nora for some reason, which was the most cringe part; Ren being overly defensive and insecure and Nora being strangely petty against him, further increasing agitation from Ren. TL;DR: Both comic series are a real mess, partially because of who wrote their stories in DC. The movies streamlined many ideas and visuals from the comics and tried to present them as cleanly as possible. They did a lot better than the comics did, even if the comics are more expansive (an advantage of having a wider volume to show scenes and dialogue than a few hours of screentime.

The panel makes it seem like Blake is just dunking on him without referring to herself as an example. Also the audacity of this coming from Blake who fled Beacon after her teammate had her arm cut off by her ex. If she mentioned that and realized how fucked up it was to abandon them, it would’ve made Blake a solid character who learned from her mistakes and is trying to tell Batman he can’t just solo his problems.
