>>86731 Well... You'll be happy to hear that I've basically gone into a hypobaric training chamber for game development. I've started a (small) studio, have two people contracted to work with me, and I'm in the process of developing a strategy game in my spare time with my team... Why am I posting now, then? Because I've finally decided on what I want to do for the community! Forgive the rough mockup, but basically I'm setting out to make a game that's a mix of Tickle Kuri and Madlab, taking inspiration from Julie the Tickler... But I want to use what I've learned from my game development efforts IRL to help make this actually happen. So I'm going to be launching within the next month a bare-bones MVP with an almost trivially sparse feature set, make it free to the community, and then iterate on it based on community feedback. I'll throw up a patreon for people who are interested in making it easier to justify putting time into the project, but I'll be working in sprints to bring more features regularly to the community. As gross as it sounds... Think of it as an early-access soft launch. But the product's free, so I won't accept any complaints lmao.

>>89566 >>89573 Oh I love TPL, and in a lot of ways I'm going to be pursuing similar goals... But a big part of the appeal of TPL is the custom character functionality, and I'd temper expectations on that. In theory, I could make it so that you could add and remove clothes to my animations... Maybe I'd be able to make an entire system to change the look of characters, but use the core animation suite as a base? But it's not like 3D animation where I can just slap an asset onto the same anchor point and it articulates with the rest of the model. Every added option will require bespoke spritework. That said, I definately intend to have an animation suite that includes every part of the body you could conceive of wanting to tickle. You'll have to toggle them like madlab, but as I develop out features, there'll be an exhaustive list of targets. If anyone has ideas of how I should approach this, even if it's just a wishlist of features; now's the time to put the thoughts in my head. I'm almost done with the first six animations that will make up the foundation of the application, so implementation is about to begin.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have liftoff! I've got the basics of the animation system working. I need to change the flow of the game to account for several different things, but the MAIN work of the development is damn near done. Now all that remains is to tie the input system into a selection of tools shown on the scene, add some backend metrics, and implement the dialogue system! SO hyped. BEYOND amped.
