The Golden Era? For Videos? Before the great Pornhub purge and Covid. Purge took out a lot of great vintage tickling vids that I can't find anymore and after Covid it felt like a lot of studios stopped and the few we have left suck. For Art? Harder to quantify since it seems recently like good artists come and go in the span of a few months, and even a lot of legacy artists have retired or just ain't as good as they used to be. 2017-2022 felt like it was when all the artists I liked were still active and putting out there best work. That said whenever I see vintage 2000's/early 2010's art I really wish there were more artists who could capture that vibe. I wish we had an archive of vids and pics, sort them by year and let ticklefags rate em. Then we could TRULY know what the golden era is.

But, if it's content from a studio that folded ages ago, it makes you scratch your head. I've encountered this myself. I archived a number of the Student Fetish Tickle vids from the early 90s. A company called Metro appears to own them now and has put out a few clips and best of dvds, but the likelihood of seeing the full catalog again is pretty low. No money in it. So, there is that limbo of active, but only sorta. Another company, that I was trying to preserve stuff from and had also folded in the late 90s actually reached out to me and said they didn't want any of their content released. They claimed they had plans to re-release it. That was 10 years ago and counting. The reality is that a lot of these companies either don't care about the content anymore or want to maintain control over it, regardless of whether or not they actively plan to re-release it. There are several companies from the 90s and a few scattered in the last 20 years I'd like to get content from, but I think they have very much moved. Especially the old stuff, which tends to be in the hands of guys my age. When we kick it, our families just throw out a box of dusty vhs tapes they find in the back of a closet.

I don't even think that their videos ever made it to the net before I digitized a few. They were only VHS. But no, I don't know anyone scouring the internet to remove 20 year old videos. If its there, they probably don't care or care enough to be aware. If they see something by chance, they may do something about it or not. The biggest barrier is that their content never made it onto the net or it was so obscure that only a handful of people ever bought it. Some things are as rare as rocking horse ,manure.
