>>1424570 I tolerate it solely because it has locks and doesn't play on your opponent's turn like transgender soul, furfag 9 and that one fusion deck with the femboy dragon, but it's very incomplete right now, so it might change a LOT later on just like branded (another deck i hate) did. The new lore protagonist looks super gay too (he's wearing some sort of spandex leotard lol), so i'm not gonna touch it unless it can be used as a engine in any of the decks i like. Art wise it's so so, but i think that's the intention since this archetype is more or less a generic shonen set in school, remember when the japs used to pump out these? Now it's all isekai shit. At least the heroine is cute, and for once she just fucking dies instead of getting creampied + corrupted by the villain. >any cards i should buy Not really, i'm looking at this top 8 list https://ygoprodeck.com/deck/artmegia-608273 and it only uses new cards and staples you might already have. Some people are using the snake-eyes (dead in the west) and fiendsmith engines in it, but none of them are tournament decks ie you shouldn't take them seriously until someone tops with it.
>>1201099 Since Ritual Monsters are an extra deck type in Rush Duels. I'm wondering if it's possible to do something similar with Ritual Monsters in the official standard format by combining ordinary extra deck types with ritual. It would be kind of redundant with Synchro outside of needing a Ritual Spell to summon them but they'd be glorified fusions with level requirements. Even if that's the case how much rewrite would be required to make this happen and would it be even worth it?
>>1430022 I've actually given this some thought. >some cards would flat out not work anymore, like the preparation spells which add a ritual monster/spell from the deck >the entire nekroz archetype does things by discarding its ritual monsters They would need to revamp, errata and/or retrain a good chunk of the game in order to put rituals in the extra deck. There are no quick fixes like giving rituals their own extra deck or sharing it (by means of either cutting it down, ie 10-15 fusion/synchro/xyz/link and 0-5 ritual, or expanding it ie 10-15 fusion/synchro/xyz/link and 5-10 ritual), because that would necessitate new rules, like drawing 3-5 from your main and 0-2 from the ritual zone, and i can see this leading to abuse, putting 3 sauravis and 2 random cards (drytron could shove the 2 rituals it runs there and call it a day) in there for example means you have a very high chance of drawing 1-2 free negates. Or maybe there's another way to make rituals from the extra work that i'm just not seeing, but rush duel got away with it because its a completely new game, so implementing new shit is easy, it's literally still evolving.
>>1430194 Damn, so the issue with Ritual's is beyond screwed, almost unless they're designed in a manner akin to Nekroz. What made them stick out compared to other rituals?
(280.51 KB 1448x2048 GewBpmIacAAZLMz.jpg)

>>1430345 I just told you, some nekroz get their effects by being discarded, you still summon some of them, but the rituals aren't completely dead cards in hand. But this is the only ritual deck that works like this, dogmatika relies on a spell that flat out locks you out of the extra deck (it's more or less just ammo for dogmatika punishment), but also punishes your opponent for it (floodgate courtesy of iblee + extra deck rip). Voiceless voice is essentially a normal combo deck that just happens to search the ritual monster and spell it needs. There are no other playable ritual decks out there, but i doubt any of them will follow in nekroz's steps, as even their new support doesn't do it.
>>1430879 I meant to say that i doubt any new ritual decks will be anything like nekroz, sorry.

Do duel fields in anniversary bundles release in the past come back to the shop next year? I like to play with my BGM set to my opponent's field, and I saw one that was apparently released in an anniversary bundle. Alas I started playing after this year's anniversary ended.
>>1431513 It's incredibly sad that the new generation of posters here only know how to use software with obnoxious watermarking.
So why didn't Malice/Maliss include the turn A (which I assume is what it's called since that's what Gundam did) in the TCG? They included the angle brackets/chevrons so I can't think of any reason as for why the turn A wasn't included.
>>1429833 > that one fusion deck with the femboy dragon What? i have never teen a trap dragon in yugioh so i have no idea who that is. >>1445330 >So why didn't Malice/Maliss include the turn A Konami would need to pay an extra $5 to get the turn A installed on the printer and that's just to expensive.
>>1442426 >new One word: bandicam.
>>1445330 They just don't give a fuck. You know how that new lore archetype is named artmegia and thus could be translated to ultimagia or something similar? They named it fucking POWER PATRON. At least maliss is pronounced the exact same way, but this is fur hire all over again. The amerimutt in charge of localizing the cards knows people will buy it anyway.
Does Konami just fucking sabotage your hand if you win too much cause I swear to god my last three fucking hands have been statistically improbable dogshit.

I absolutely love the new archtype shaman is possessed by a mesugaki god
This is a good day my first real yugioh deck finally has support. Megalith Phuloch Level 4 EARTH Rock Ritual Effect Monster ATK/ 2000 DEF/ 300 You can Ritual Summon this card with any “Megalith” card. You can only use the 2nd effect of this card's name once per turn. You cannot activate the 1st and 2nd effect of this card’s name in the same Chain. (1) If this card is Ritual Summoned: You can add 1 “Megalith” card from your GY to your hand. (2) During the Main Phase (Quick Effect): You can Ritual Summon 1 “Megalith” Ritual Monster from your GY, except “Megalith Phuloch”, by Tributing monsters from your hand and/or field whose total Levels equal or exceed the Level of that monster, including this card on the field. Megalith Nortra Phulra Level 12 EARTH Rock Ritual Effect Monster ATK/ 3700 DEF/ 2700 You can Ritual Summon this card with any “Megalith” card. Must be Ritual Summoned, using only Ritual Monsters. You can only use the 1st and 2nd effect of this card’s name each once per turn. (1) You can reveal this card in your hand; your opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to the activation of your “Megalith” Ritual Monsters’ effects for the rest of this turn. (2) When your opponent activates a card or effect (Quick Effect): You can negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card, then, if that effect targeted a card(s) on the field, you can Tribute 1 monster your opponent controls. Megalith Anastasis Continuous Spell Card You can only use the 1st effect of this card’s name once per turn. (1) You can discard 1 card; add 1 Level 4 or lower and 1 Level 8 or higher “Megalith” monsters from your Deck to your hand. (2) Once per turn, if you Ritual Summon a “Megalith” monster(s): You can activate 1 of these effects (but you can only use each of these effects of this card’s name once per turn). ● Draw 2 cards, then discard 1 card. ● Tribute 1 monster your opponent controls.

It's not going to be meta but i am sure everyone who starts masterduel makes megalith at some point early on as it's so cheap.
I'm done with all the missions too. I don't give a single fuck about the title or the second stage of this shit, fuck the duelist cup. At least my last duel was funny, i know i'll sound like a huge faggot seeing as i'm playing tenpai, but the brandonsissy i just faced didn't know how to pilot his deck. >ends in mirrorjade, lubellion, regained, banishment and a set card >my hand has genroku, engage, afterburners, widow anchor and ultimate slayer >i draw upstart goblin >ultimate slayer sends garura >he chains banishment, fuses LADDL >mirrorjade gets spun, garura resolves >HE CHAINS REGAINED TO IT >his own LADDL chains to regained, negates it (i had enough stuff to deal with all his cards, but thanks i guess), i draw super poly >upstart, LADDL chains to it but i was expecting it (thank fuck this guy and apollousa are once per chain), so i chain widow anchor >i draw raigeki, he chains droll on resolution >lol >pop his dragon with afterburners, then pop his set card (called by) >normal summon genroku >before i even try to go to BP, he consneeds Made it from DL5 to DL19 in iirc 4 days? I don't bother with the events until all the missions get added. This is what i used, blind second tenpai sky striker is better than full handtrap (you simply can't stop snake-eye fiendsmith azamina millennium) or even a mix of both. -9 tenpai names are enough, but feel free to toss another genroku or dora dora. -Striker dragon seems like a waste of a slot since i'm not running s:p, but more than once i got stopped by a handtrap after baiting out several of them and cleaning my opponent's board, so i had to get rid of my dragon to hold my own with the widow anchors and droplets i had, that or just keep drawing with engage hoping to get a chundra/summoning/kaimen. -ZEKE is the better form of removal IMO since it can be used to get rid of a massive monster (or just one immune to destruction), then you can swing with your dragons. It doesn't get rid of shit like skill drain, but i have exactly 5 cards for that job (technically 9, since both TTT's count). -Super poly almost never came up, the few times it did i just wasn't running the right target (fuse baronne/diabellze + silvia into st azamina, crash into desirae) or the opponent had more than enough disruptions to fuck me over (blue-eyes), so feel free to cut it to 2 in favor of another genroku/widow anchor/slayer/TTT. -Yes, you do need this much draw power, it baits handtraps and serves as fodder for droplet. -Thrust is "add the out: the card", so i'd consider running it at 3. -Talent should never be used to draw, if the opponent lets your cantrips resolve and holds onto his cards, they're most likely handtraps meant for a tenpai name, so rip them. Stealing boss monsters is also super funny, the only dude that experienced this and didn't concede right after was a centur-ion enjoyer who let me smash his face in with his own chaos angel. -You're probably not gonna run into many xyz decks, but when you do you'll be glad you have mereologic, this and samurai destroyer annihilate yubel. -Princess absolutely never came up, but you absolutely do need her, you'll be kicking yourself if she ever does come up and you don't have her. All in all it was a miserable experience, people get super sweaty in the last few days and the top 3 decks are insufferable, but i was going to play the 50 games regardless, so i don't regret not ranking up to DL19 in the first day.
>>1466544 Even if it wasn't for the sweats this damn game always chooses the duelist cups/WCQs to give me the worst goddamn luck. >Maxx C for seventeen cards >three handtraps(Bystial, Ash, Imperm) after the opponent had Silvia, Baronne, Fiendsmith, etc. >Die that battle phase And that's when my brain isn't fried after two hours of play making beginner mistakes. I've tried twelve goddamn times to reach stage 2 and failed every time, makes me look pathetic given this has been my main game for 3 and a half years. Do I just not have the correct mental illness? Am I not investing enough time? Enough money?
>>1466637 Some people are just not good enough to be pro players i guess. I don't try particularly hard in MD (tenpai is pretty much the only meta deck i've built, i also have snake-eye azamina but got bored of it in two games so it doesn't really count, i'm just waiting for further hits before dismantling it), and at locals i try to do my best with my meager resources, so i don't really know if i have what it takes. Digital yugioh doesn't feel the same as paper play, i guess because i run into many different decks in the later? I haven't even made it to master rank, 20-ish games in a row sounds impossible with the decks i like. Tenpai was sadly too expensive for me to build on release (getting to masters with 3 chundra, 3 kaimen and 2 summoning would've been a cinch), and they fucking gutted it right after its selection pack ended, meanwhile we're on the 15th month of snake-eye being the undisputed best deck, and unless they give it the same hits OCG has it's gonna last well into maliss/ryzeal format.
>>1466686 Crazy part is being a neet means I should have tons of time available, but work around the house has been affecting playtime a bit more this season. Assuming the stars align to let me actually get 8 hours straight of play each day and I don't get sick from it, I know I can actually brute force my way to stage 2 one of these seasons (same with Master rank). Different decks does play into it a tiny bit it seems, shouldn't be that much considering so many die to the same ten generic tech cards as everything else (hence why people get so mad when a deck like tenpai doesn't). >undisputed best deck Ehhh, Tenpai and Yubel were both dominant top contenders as well this past year, they really shouldn't have released full fiendsmith as early as they did, that gave Snake eye the shot in the arm it needed. Really wish they'd shuffle the release order a bit more so that lower tier decks actually get a chance before the inevitable top tiers like Maliss and Ryzeal ruin everything. Those two especially everyone's been doom mongering about them every update (Gold sarc in a pack GAIZ MALIIS SOON !!!!!) and with Ryu-Ge available it's about two months at most.
>>1466758 I honestly don't play this game outside of doing dailies and the events, i like earning gems and then spending them on packs, but i don't make it out of platinum/gold ever. I don't have digital friends either so it's not like i build meta decks here to test out against them, so now that i think of it i don't know why i keep playing the game. IRL it's a lot more fun (unless you run into tryhards, its a big locals though so avoiding them is as easy as going to another table), but the game is paywalled and this locals is about an hour and half away from home, so i only visit on the weekends. What deck are you using for duelist cup? Maybe you're just running the wrong ratios for cards, or perhaps you're building for threats that you just won't see that often. I went with a blind second deck both because i enjoy it and every deck falls to boardbreakers no matter what, unless they're chinese and know that doing a subpar play despite having full combo will end me (the few times i faced yubel it was always a chink who stopped after putting yubel on board, the fucker knew my ultimate slayer would render his whole board pointless, and that i couldn't out his card with destruction like i usually do).
>>1466806 I fell for TCG player propaganda that handtraps were best and forced eleven into a deck where they don't normally belong (thanks to that reprint set I now have most of the best generic techs). Too many hands this season have been not enough handtraps anyways or not enough play starters (the traps should cover that anyways but then they draw Duster), and this is after cutting down from 48 but the top decks are showing up enough that the individual card choices are justified. I need to see if there's a locals nearby that'll do retro formats, most recent cards I have are zexal era, this deck with TCG banlist is probably ~$200-300 which I can't comfortably spend willy nilly right now. I've tried blind second decks before but you need specific combinations of breakers that I (budget player) either couldn't craft or couldn't draw, and mixing them with my other decks like Swordsoul, Sacred Beast, or Synchro Runick (fountain to 2 please) wasn't working super well.
>>1466842 Yeah, this is a tad unoptimized. Labrynth goes hard on the furniture and arias, so max those out. Obviously maxing out on those means maxing out on daruma cannon (turn zero book of eclipse, or a fucking board nuke for link decks) and trap trick (this one is essentially any of your 1-ofs), as they're your best tools to stop the opponent. Transaction is okay at 2, but running 3 copies isn't bad since you're most likely discarding it for arias/furnitures then using it to copy any of your other traps. Punishment hardly sees use these days, i honestly always thought the dogmatika engine was bad in this deck. IDP while not bad, lacks the punch other cards like SEC (this one is not gonna see a lot of use once we enter ryzeal format however) and black goat have. You're missing one of your best cards! Dominus impulse just has no downsides in this deck. You don't need evenly (right now), and you don't need labyrinth and arianne either (ariana? the pink one) unless you're doing gay shit with the DARK barrier statue. As gay as they are, you should consider running some floodgates too, rivalry and anti-spell are a turn skip for a lot of decks. Labrynth doesn't need to run handtraps or counters for it, 2 maxx C is IMO all you'll ever need. The extra should be SEC targets or 3 chaos angel and 3 ty-phon, the rest is kinda irrelevant. >this deck with TCG banlist is probably ~$200-300 which I can't comfortably spend willy nilly right now That's not true, the labrynth core (2 lady, 1 lovely, 3 green, 3 big welcome, 2 welcome, 3 of each furniture, 3 extravagance) is about $15, then it's $10-$15 for each arias, $3 for each impermanence, and like a dollar for another high impact handtrap like droll (since there's no maxx C and both impulse and fuwalos are incredibly expensive, iirc $70 each). Transaction and daruma just got reprinted so they go for pennies, the rest is just your 1-ofs of choice (i grabbed 3 of the later for my ninja deck). 3 ty-phon should be doable as well, the rest of your extra depends on if you run SEC or not. The deck is incredibly affordable irl, and not a bad choice for beginners since it'll never be outdated, every normal trap card is more or less labrynth support. However, if you think $100-ish is too expensive there's blue-eyes, 3 structures plus a handful of cards gives you a tier 3 deck (tier 2 with primite, but that's expensive), and you won't need to buy staples ever since the deck comes with 3 ash, 3 droll, 3 nibiru, 3 called by and 3 impermanence, which you can put to use in any of your other decks.

>>1466842 I don't really play labyrinth all that much outside of a few gimmick hand-rip decks but I think your problem is your running bestials and conventional hand traps when you could just be running some traps to floodgate the grave or some shit like the black goat laughs, floodgate their ED with dimensional barrier or even slide in light imprisoning mirror if your willing to hard-draw it, absolutely fucks fiend smiths shit UP. also you may wanna slide in this little shit with linkuribo, its p good at getting an emergency trap on your opponents turn and can bait out a called by.
>>1468689 to clarify, do NOT remove the 2 maxx c, just add 3 mulcharmy, nuke the bestials and the D.D crow, swap out ash for dominus, more furniture, swap out evenly and dogmatika shit for more generally useful floodgates, 2 pops with dogmatika is dogshit now adays thanks to blue eyes spamming that one synchro that offers destruction protection and the amount of recursion that fiendsmith has. called by and pot is preference, but I would swap the called by for something else, maybe overroot? also I think you only want 2 copies of the first labrynth trap, but idk its been awhile since I've seen the modern labrynth ratios.
