Any examples of games becoming god tier by the modding community? For me Doom and Mario 64 are the best examples of already solid games unlocking their whole potential by mods. Shit games turned good are also welcome.
Super Mario Eclipse was a Sunshine mod that felt really fun. Some new levels and each level in the game was interconnected. Pretty good stuff in my opinion, probably my preferred way to play the game from here on.

Civilization4: Colonization with The Authentic Colonization (TAC) mod Game becomes actually fun to play

I remember Left 4 Dead 2 having a mod that replaces the special spawn jingles with something like "JOCKEY HAS SPAWNED". Now that's game changer. Fuck those things.
