E-celeb faggotry containment thread Anonymous 07/14/2025 (Mon) 17:12:01 Id: 759d2a No. 1562147
We haven't had one of these thread in a while, so I thought it might be ok, to once again have one of those containment threads, this time about e-celebs, and maybe some v-tubers like Rev says desu and patrician_tv :^). Anything goes, as long as it's somewhat vidya related, from Asmongold to Synthethic Man. >But isn't the thread against the rules? Rule 9 says that it's ok, as long as it's all contained in one single thread. There was a recent thread about Synthethic Man that got deleted, but there was a topic that started to be formed, but I think the thread got deleted way before it managed to reach it's potential, that of e-celebs growing old. I dread to think someone starting as a gaming e-celeb in their late 20s and doing it up until their 50s or even 60s, just because they aren't popular enough to get enough money to retire early, but still profitable enough to keep the gift going. From my point of view either you manage to retire early like Pew Die Pie, become a complete cuck like James Rolfe, kill yourself like JewWario, flee from society like Game Dude, become a complete lol-cow like boogie, swallow the tranny pill like Cosmo, or manage to move on to something else. I guess you need a certain level of narcisim to want to become an e-celeb, so it's hard for me to comprehend why you would want to do this shit even in your 60s, but if you can't retire early, maybe you should just change the direction of your channel, even if risks alienating your fans, because otherwise you have to watch the e-celeb go through a middle life crisis, like what I think Synthethic Man is going through, and maybe Spoony when he did that drunken Twilight review. So... how are you enjoying your games in your 30? Personally I don't play as much as I did in my teens and tweenties, as I dabble in other activities, but I am still passionate about the industry, and I still play games from time to time. Anyway, I am waiting for patrician tv to finish his bike road trip so that he gets the footage for the Fallout 3/NV review and promised face reveal.

>the guy they constantly bring up >on the series they practically never do Channel took a momentary break from spamming Youtube Shorts to talk with Doug Walker while doodling. Doug seems like an okay guy.
>>1699404 For the past few years that has been the general consensus, he tends to just roll with whatever mockery heads his way, the complete opposite of Linkara.
>>1699404 >>1699444 Doug ended up being one of the few from Channel Awesome who didn't become a total faggot. Doug can laugh at himself and just wants to chill with his fanbase.
Are there any other channels out there like Warlockracy? His recent video of him pretending to play an imaginary fallout game is hilarious.
>>1699824 Do you want examples of e-celebs playing fake games? The only example I know is Civvie playing "Hellraiser", an "NES game made in the Wolfenstein 3D engine", as an April Fools' joke.
>>1699871 That's funny and I know Civvie. I'm wishing for more creative lets plays. Warlockracy generally discusses ideas in his videos and even some history that I find interesting.
>>1699444 Didn't know nu-Spongebob did a Nostalgia Critic parody. Haven't watched him in many many years, but Doug got a chuckle out of me with this one. >>1699583 >chill with his fanbase From the stories he's told, he's pretty chill with even the creepy weirdo fans.
>>1699404 >Played Castle Crashers with Tom Fulp >Now this So what are the chances Chris does something with Jontron?
>>1700149 He did that years ago already. They played random Newgrounds games.
>>1700329 I mean again.
>>1700493 it would be funny if they did exactly the same again but instead they play games that were made the day of the sandy hook shooting.
>>1699583 Channel Awesome's only worthy remnants are Doug himself, Brad, and Spoony Rob is a total fag.
>>1700149 I mean it's not that odd for Chris to do something with Fulp, being one of the big name Newgrounds alumni after all, doing something with Doug was the more out of the way happening.
>>1701970 Spoony hadn't trooned out?
>>1702356 He is returning Year of the Spoon Soon™
>>1701970 It's been a minute since I've seen anything he's made, but I remember Larry Bundy Jr. being fine. Also worth noting he referenced an Oneyplays bit in one of his videos a few years ago. He's one of the people I wouldn't be at all surprised to see as a guest on the next Slightly Artistic, which is coming out on September 3rd, per the Oneyplays Twatter.
>>1699824 HBomberGuy
>>1702356 He does a few let's plays with the main actor from Phantasmagoria 2. If he learned a bit more humility and got in contact with OneyPlays he might be able to get a Doctor Insano cameo in Smiling Friends.

>>1699824 Can you be a bit more specific? Channels that are similar in tone, or in content (covering eurojank), or specific games (Fallout/Wasteland), or that video in particular (a hypothetical game that doesn't exist)?

I wonder how Mauler is doing
>>1713660 He just did his 7th anniversary of EFAP with his furry friend. >>1713833 Amazing anon. but out of curiosity, how long did it take you to encode that video, and what are your specs?
>>1713833 >Even got almost 2MB to spare Holy fuck anon, you're a compression God
>>1713833 I'm impressed.
>>1713854 About 45min to an hour or so on a Ryzen 5 with Aviator. SVT-AV1-PSY compresses mostly still videos like this pretty well while still preserving quality on the lowest settings it seems.

>>1713660 Actually Mauler just released a preview, for his new video about Star Wars Outlaws. I am curious if he will be able to outdo the 20 hour video patriciantv did on Skyrim, just through sheer star wars autism. Speaking of pat, he is back to making streams about Fallout and that space game Bethesda made about the Starborn(seriously, I easily forget what that game is called), so more background noise for me. >>1713867 Glad to see the software got updated, on their Git they still have the 6.0 release, but on Flathub it's at version 7, weird. I tried encoding Mauler's video with these settings, and it took about as much as the video's length. Sadly it only reduced it from 17mb to 12mb. Is there something that I am missing?
>>1716707 Try reducing the audio bitrate to 24 first. If that doesn't work either then crank the CRF up to 60. Since it's already at the under 20 range and has a lot of movement I don't think you'll be able to gain that much. Try encoding a long (> 30 min) video to see if that's the case.
>>1566475 A centrist I know got really butthurt over his VISA video despite, him not liking VISA's actions. Synth and Frogmire did permanent damage to minds of internet centrists.
AlphaOmegaSin is the thpe who believes age of consent laws are "white genocide"
>>1764438 Wtf he's still around?
>>1764690 Yeah, but not on youtube anymore. He's posting on instagram
>>1764438 Never heard of that guy but it seems like you just made that shit up because I can't find anyone mentioning it
>>1764438 Sin is a normal guy who decided to focus on his family.
>>1764438 What the fuck are you talking about?
I don't really give a shit about e-celebs, I've seen maybe enough asmongold videos to count on one hand, just found out his dad died from chemo. The expressions he had, getting choked up reminiscing about the last few moments he had with his father drudged up a lot of the feelings I had when I lost a family member I took care of. Wish I could have had as good of a relationship as he did. I think I need to take a break from the internet for a while now.
