If you're using controlnet it makes regional prompting far easier since it forces the position of characters in the image where you can mask them. A controlnet image can literally be as simple as this pic with two circles to indicate the head position (& therefore height) of two different characters whereas just using the "size difference" tag alone would have RNG.
