/40k/ Thread Anonymous 03/14/2025 (Fri) 03:39:02 Id: f08494 No. 1079324
Discuss Warhammer 40k games and lore. Previous thread >>1047230

FOR THE EMPEROR
>>1079326 UNDYING LOYALITY!
Writefag here I have ideas in my head but haven't put anything to paper yet. Guide my pen hand to which one I focus on and write: >Fresh Night Lord who gets stranded on an isolated Imperial planet >Sons of Malice sergeant and his escapades with his skeleton crew warband >Emperor's Children captain >Something focused on Dark Mechanicum
>>1079335 >Sons of Malice sergeant and his escapades with his skeleton crew warband I kinda like this idea.
>>1079335 >>1079336 One addendum: The EC and Mechanicum one aren't very detailed since I didn't really meditate on their proposed stories yet, so it might be best to just pick between the Night Lords and the Sons of Malice stories. As an additional detail for both: <Night Lord becomes something like the Night Haunter for the planet he is stranded on...with a twist <The Sons of Malice one has encounters with loyalists as well as traitors, and will go a lot into the Sons of Malice mindset (Malus worshippers in general)
Where da game list
(564.99 KB 1440x2560 40k chart template so far.png)

>>1079343 Both are interesting premises as we don't have much writefag stuff regarding chaos, or even having nuanced stuff like renegade Marines. >>1079345 I'm gonna be working on the rec list again, I had to pause it due to irl shit. I will be adding more stuff and, feel free to criticise any choices anons.
>>1079352 To be fair, coming into a 40k thread and complaining about seeing space marines is like heading to Detroit and being surprised to see niggers.
>>1079393 What a fucking post.
>>1079351 Looking forward to the final results.
>>1079324 Space Marine 3 makes me very happy, especially considering the wait between the first and second games.
(242.55 KB 1200x1200 GgJtcIoWIAA-SkH.jpg)

>>1079393 Niggers? In my space marines?
(67.97 KB 622x207 Brother Chairon .png)

>>1079326 >>1079332 What is even with the Alpha legion? Are they just wildcards?
(354.31 KB 568x676 Alpharius Hyde.webp)

>>1079804 the short of it is that the alpha legions primarch Omegon is secretly a loyalist. So he will send them on missions that seem like they hurt the imperium but actually help them in the long run. problem is he can't just declare himself to be loyal because a lot of legionnaires are full-on traitors. In general if people know the alpha legion is there then they probably want you to know they are there.
>>1079804 At this point I'm not even sure if the fucking Alpha legion themselves know what side they're on.
>>1079804 This guy >>1079807 describes the situation pretty well. Canonically - we know this thanks to the Horus Heresy books - their primarch Alpharius "died" transferred his soul and mind into a rank and file Alpha Legionnaire while his body, inhabited then by the rank and file guy, was slain by Rogal Dorm and Omegon is on the loose doing whatever. Nobody knows Omegon exists except Alpharius, some Eldar, and the Emperor himself, apparently Big E never told Horus that Alpharius was actually the first-found and he never even told Alpharius that Omegon existed until Alpharius found him by himself later. Omegon is presumably still in his primarch body although for all we know, he could have gone through the same sorcery that Alpharius did and is chilling out somewhere. tl;dr I am Alpharius
>>1079829 There's at least one Alpha Legionnaire who knows Omegon is alive, and he's currently interrogating a shard of the Deceiver about his location, which might be GW cockteasing us that the "Giant in green armor" in Trazyn's collection might be Omegon... if it's not Vulkan like they flip flopped on already.
>>1079887 Omegon should be the same size as a normal space marine, or at least damn near the same size. I don't think they'd describe him as a giant unless it were by normal human standards
>>1079594 Tbh, there shouldn't be black niggers in space marines. (Except in Salamanders) They all have a melanchromic organ that regulates the amount of melanin in their skin to suit the environment. So, every marine in a given locale should have roughly the same skin tone.
Are there any decent classic 40k games? As in, 1980s to mid 1990s? All the good games seem to be from this century.
>>1079955 I haven't played it myself but a lot of people praise vengeance of the blood angels.
>>1079955 A list is being made here to rec >>1079351 all the decent 40k games, it'll include older games too.
>>1079955 Final Liberation
>>1079969 Where’s that screencap from? I’ll be sad if it’s not from a movie.
(166.47 KB 890x661 WOT.png)

>>1079976 Read the post and then think for a bit.
(37.86 KB 586x613 Glyx283XYAAtO1y.jpg)

>>1079978 Damn shame.
>>1079980 There hasn't been a good 40k movie yet. Mostly because it would require a very expensive budget to bring the scale of that universe to the big screen.
>>1080012 Listen there is a lot of bullshit in 40k that I will accept. There is no fucking way anyone will figure out a G11 in this goddamned galaxy.
>>1080008 Cmon, you know what I was referring to. Actual films put on the silver screen, in movie theaters.

>>1080012 >11 <IX
Tau look like shit. I don’t mean their technology, by the way, I mean the Tau themselves. Their actual canon design and not the fanart. Noseless earless blue humans with vaginas in their foreheads. You can tell GW had a real hard time making an original design, and they failed miserably. Honestly, they should have just used another fantasy race. The tyrannids are the only major aylmao faction with good non-fantasy-based designs and even they’re still ripped off something else i.e. xenomorphs. I’d suggest saurians, because at least they look cool.
>>1080108 I think it's a fine compromise if their blue skinned selves look rather boring because they are almost always in their mech suits, which are far cooler than their un-meched selves
>>1080108 >>1080138 Saurians but they're Asian dragons
HELLO FELLOW IMPERIALS!
>>1080150 This is impossible because space marine psycho conditioning runs deep, so deep that even traitor space marines still actively hate xenos even after betraying the imperium. Too bad Big E couldn't do the same thing for chaos, unless the Horus Heresy was all part of his master plan.
>>1080219 If the Bluies got a hold of some geneseed though... And wasn't it implied that the 2nd Primarch might have been a xenos sympathizer? Or was it the 11th?
>>1080220 It really comes down to whatever the writer want, but from an in-universe perspective are space marines even worth the trouble of making? I'm not familiar with Tau lore, but a small mechsuit could do the same things they can, and the process of making them would be less convoluted. There's no reason for Tau to make their own space marines, and it seems impossible lorewise to recruit those that already exist.
>>1080221 Tau don't even consider space marines as beings they can influence or convince of the greater good, they regard them as living weapons. But they will still try to negotiate, astartes aren't on the "shoot on sight" list like the Orks, Tyranids, and Dark Eldar.
(91.93 KB 1232x971 UK PM.jpg)

>>1080150 Absolutely heretical garbage, delete this fucking dogshit.
>>1080222 Well you can technically negotiate with Space Marines in the situation of a greater enemy, can't do that with Orks,Tyranids or the Dark Eldar.
(49.69 KB 376x538 Tau.jpg)

>>1080221 >Tau lore
(360.76 KB 600x642 Ork mug.png)

>>1080237 >can't do that with Orks Offer them enough shinies and maybe a hat and they will.
>>1080254 You think if someone tried to negotiate with the position of places where Tyranids are attacking/attacked they would take the offer?
I think I fucked up in Rogue Trader Anons. My Dark Eldar party member is now hunting lower deck crew for sport.
(50.82 KB 623x414 Nanotrasen Deathsquad.jpg)

>>1080317 What did you expect was gonna happen when you let a Dark Eldar onto your ship?
(47.55 KB 680x875 yes it is true.jpg)

Why is 60% of the Warhammer fandom super gay and the other 60% super fash? Those numbers add to 120% because there is considerable overlap between these groups
(59.94 KB 349x320 [purges_internally].jpg)

>>1080317 you expected anything else from the race of hyper edgelords that literally live off being edgy?
>>1080323 Because niggers get no greater pleasure than capturing and ruining an IP, which breeds a greater response from the real fans.
>>1080317 It's fine, you're on the heretic route so a few casualties for sport are hardly an issue. You ARE on the heretic route, aren't you? You'd have to be... otherwise, why would you let a Xeno, let alone a cartoonishly evil edgelord who literally tried to kill and torture your entire party at every opportunity, roam free on your ship? Are you a woman? Did you think you could "fix" him? Was this supposed to be your Twilight arc? I bet you stopped Argenta from putting a well deserved bolt through Idira's head, too.
>>1080334 >Did you think you could "fix" him? Was this supposed to be your Twilight arc? Okay but if you flip that around as a rich ancient vampress and a indigenous shewolf who both want your hand in marriage (and your seed), you can absolutely understand Bella's predicament. You pick the WEREWOLF what is wrong with you Bella
(47.71 KB 680x565 i get it now.jpg)

>>1080336 Already exists.
(20.32 KB 599x334 1356275020325.jpg)

>>1080339 That's the joke.
>>1080323 Because Fantasy and Tabletop in general has always been full of comic tier emasculated geek faggots and it's only gotten faggier since, but Warhammer always attracted a lot of more masculine guys due to how metal it looks. So you get both in the same IP, which is slowly and surely dying due to popularity and more and more faggots flooding it.
>>1080317 You get what you fucking deserve
(176.21 KB 320x240 Baal's_Laugh.webm)

>>1080317 You fucking idiot.
>>1080357 >but Warhammer always attracted a lot of more masculine guys Like yourself :^} >due to how metal it looks You’re aware of how many gay faggots are in metal, are you not?
(49.23 KB 600x600 Not a Fan of 40K.jpg)

>>1080323 Because everyone who likes 40k is a nerd, and all nerds are spergy retards. Just like people who post on imageboards
>>1080323 >Fash It's okay, you play White Wolf games you find plenty of gay tankies so it balances out.
>>1080323 because it's on course to be the next marvel
(2.05 MB 3898x4500 typical reddit fanart.jpeg)

>>1080323 I think the fash is obvious with 40k's overt Hugo Boss fashion and extreme human imperialism. The Gay is a very recent thing and if I were to guess, it stems from reddit, Discord and typical online zoomer culture as 40k has rapidly gotten more mainstream. If you look up gay 40k art on Rule 34 you'll get 8 pages, page 8 is art from 2010-2021, the remaining 7 pages are all 2021 onward. You see also this with edgy zoomerbait like Ultrakill, and I feel like the same thing is going on there.
>>1080480 reminder the artist is a korean femcel that lost her shit when people weren't too keen on femstodes
>>1080481 You don't need say that's fujo art, a gay man did not fucking draw that.
(583.44 KB 657x1024 grim-dank-4-657x1024_png.jpg)

>>1080323 >and the other 60% super fash? It's just satire.
>>1080481 Don't worry, I'm familiar with Archon of Flesh and that's partially why I picked her as the example representing the strange new breed of 40k fan. Those said fans are also here by the way, as seen with how many are familiar with drama on the 40k reddit.
>>1080484 damn the artist is super racist
>>1080485 >Those said fans are also here by the way Yes, you are one of them.
(40.60 KB 800x450 to the book of grudges.jpg)

>>1080357 God you're fucking retarded.
>>1080406 >Like yourself? Yes, I never got into the tabletop, I'm a filthy secondary that thinks that shit is too expensive, though I'd really like collecting WW2 miniatures. My entry point was DoW like many people >You’re aware of how many gay faggots are in metal? I know, Metal just any subculture nowadays is gay as fuck, I'm just saying it looks rad and that that attracts less pasty nerds. >>1080531 Prove me wrong, whole tabletop and miniature hobby is either pasty geeks or chainsmoking uncles.
>>1080317 Are you retarded?
>>1081253 Reddit-tier tbh Is that last one some kind of Chinese snuff cuck art? Truly horrible if so
>>1081325 >Snuff cuck art In one of the Mallus Darkblade books the dark elves gleefully talk about how they raped a man's wife to death to his face. I'm surprised the nu-fans haven't raised a stink about it, but those fag don't play Fantasy anyway.
>>1081452 What's funny is how nu fans try to pretend Slaanesh and his forces don't commit acts of murder rape. The Dark Eldar also running trains on Craftworld Eldar and Humans.
(140.39 KB 892x719 Woah... color.jpg)

>>1082420 If the Dark Eldar love to murder/rape/torture/scat their enemies (and each other) so much - then why don't they just give their souls over to Slaanesh? Why are they hiding in a pain citadel in a pocket of the webway away from her gaze? Yeah yeah yeah, she consumes their souls in agonizing torment. Vore and Guro? You'd think that'd be a turn-on for them. It makes about as much sense as a satanist hiding out in an abandoned church because they're scared that the Devil will come get them.
>>1082433 They do the fuck up shit to placate Slaanesh's drain on their souls.
>>1082433 They aren’t sadomasochists, they’re just sadists. Still, I find them thematically incohesive and redundant as a faction when slaaneshmarines exist.
>>1082433 They believe that torturing and raping and causing pain will barricade them and their souls against Slaanesh and the ruinous powers. They fear the fuck out of Chaos and the Warp, even moreso than the vanilla Eldar.
>>1082468 >behaving in exactly the way that fuels and invites slaanesh will barricade them and their souls from slaanesh. I thought it was because they cut themselves off from the warp and now have to feed on suffering to survive. …Even though if they cut themselves off from the warp it should be impossible to do physics defying nonsense like “feeding on emotions”.
>>1082441 Huh, I thought they were into masochism too. Something about them occasionally volunteering to be tortured for the entertainment of it because they got off on the thrill and exhibition of it.
(172.45 KB 1908x1146 Tranny.jpg)

>>1082525 That was before Slaneesh, they had rape dungeon dimensions for all kinds of degenerate acts, including that. The biggest degenerates in the deepest rape dungeon dimensions were the ones that survived but still get their souls sucked out by Slaneesh slowly but surely, which is why they need to keep dishing out suffering to stave off Slaneesh. Slaneesh is pretty much keeping them hostage, and that's what the Dark Eldar are, slaves to their own vices.
>>1082518 It's a bit more that their psychic powers have atrophied from lack of use, but they do still have some connection like most living things do. Being a psyker is one of the few things explicitly forbidden in Commoragh, since it risks causing warp rifts and the like.
>>1082982 They've become twice as strong as a craftworld Eldar to make up for the lack of Psykers.
>>1082528 I guess that's the face you make when you realize mutilating your body won't fix your depression.
Ditch Jihad's bullshit managed to make GW look good in comparison.
>>1084229 It's another situation like with Helldivers where the community was getting hyped up but then the company couln't help but shoot themselves in the foot by running their mouth or letting one of their "community managers" fuck everything up.
>>1084287 Reddit ruins everything it touches and the sjws they sucked off want an atheist faction. In a setting where everyone knows God exists and demons are flooding into reality.
So what's the story with Trench Crusade?
>>1084347 Something along the lines of: >"How do you, fellow woke-haters!" >"Aren't you tired of 40GAY Wokehammer??" >"Get into this basted and redpilled spehss prussia game now on kickstarter!" <"wow, sounds völkish as fugg:DD" t. 102% PVRE BAVARIAN stock >"RREEE INTERNET RACISTS GET OUT!"
>>1084347 It advertised itself as being grimdark so a bunch of 40k fags wanted to try it after the custodes debacle. All of them got banned from the discord for being suspected of being on the rightwing. Now the left is calling them racist and eurocentrist after they revealed their map.
>>1084312 Reminder you're in the reddit thread :^) >>1084350 It's weirdly common for vaguely "anti-woke" centrists to pander to far-right internet communities then get really pissy when they attract the far-right. That said I'm not sure the creators said this, I think others said it and the creators and/or community immediately told them to fuck off
>>1084312 The satanists are the atheist faction :^}

>>1084355 The fags behind Trench Crusade are anything but centrist.
(456.34 KB 1242x2019 Centrist.jpg)

>>1079324 Still no Survival Mode, still no Dreadnaught Mode, PTR taking forever. >>1084347 >So what's the story with Trench Crusade? Cancer.
>>1084347 >story explicitly has Christianity real >bans even discussing the idea that Aztecs, who literally had a religion with human sacrifice and ritual consumption of human blood as core tenets, as demon cult would fit the setting because that's raycist
>>1084390 >Demon portal in Croatia TOP KEK
(402.72 KB 1537x2048 Vavra before the plastic.jpg)

>>1084427 das rite!
>>1084354 It advertised itself as old school grimdark, started attracting people burnt out with 40k, plus the story essentially confirming Christianity is real and God exists appealed to the right in general. So the leftists making the game immediately knee jerked, started screaming "SATIRE, THE CHRISTIANS ARE ACTUALLY THE EVIL ONES!!!!111!!" and generally chasing away people they could have pumped for money had they kept their mouths shut. Just like Helldivers.
(310.99 KB 540x720 just3.png)

>>1084634 >Just like Helldivers. If somebody couldn't tell Helldivers was making fun of nationalistic jingoism, they're an idiot to begin with.

>>1084677 WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN "IT WAS SHAM"??? I MOVED TO FUCKIN BUENES AIRES FOR THIS SHIT
>>1084677 gives some people a sense of camaraderie they feel it's missing IRL
>>1084677 I watch starship troopers as a pro fascist film to spite Verhoeven.
>>1084390 Wait that's the grimdark map? It's fucking tame, at least with 40k you genuinely understand how fucked the galaxy is for both Humans and xenos.
>>1084750 /tg/ refugee here before, I was banned from that nightmare it was being hardcore astroturfed by, the creators pretending to be Anons. The mods were in on it and banning anyone who, called the BS out about the blatantly inorganic threads, even r/HorusGalaxy had these fence sitters shilling it. Big reason I ended up posting with you guys. >>1080317 >He let a fucking Dark Eldar aboard You Muppet.
>>1084908 The game is being shilled to levels I've never seen in years.
Still waiting for anon rant on trench crusade
>>1086768 I'll be posting it soonish
Today I'm going to explain why Trench crusade is a trainwreck of titanic proportions and why it’s the definition of grimdrep and reddit as a whole or it’s /r/atheism subreddit, so sit down this will take a read anons. >Why do you refer to it as grimderep anon? Because it tries larping as grimdark despite having no understanding of what the term entails, for one TC’s lore states that Humanity has been fighting for its life for 800 years, since the crusade and subsequent opening of the gates of hell into the mortal realm. But as you can see from TC’s official map, Hell only has the territories of the Eastern Roman Empire, the Levant, Yugoslavia, Egypt, Libya, parts of Saudi Arabia, southern Spain along with a tip of Morocco and a random area of northern Europe, where the portal randomly opens whenever. This map doesn’t show an immense 800 year struggle of humanity against the forces of evil, but a map that at best shows 80 years of conflict. >But the Demons make up for power what they lack in territory anon! Fun fact most of the Demons are infighting in Hell over who gets to conquer Earth and the forces of evil in Trench Crusade, are mortal heretics who fight for hell and the various demonic lords. But what makes it reddit edginess is that any human, who wishes to join hell must go to the gates of Hell and enter it, then go to Hell and get out to be permitted to be part of Hell’s legions. But where it continues the reddit grimdrep is that any mortals who get near the gate, immediately have their flesh melted to the bones, so only the most evil of the evil that hell recognizes can enter with no harm. THAT’S THE LEVEL OF EDGE WE’RE DEALING WITH HERE. >Why don’t the Demons just field their own kind to fight on the front? In TC’s lore due to the covenant which honestly is a dumber version of Diablo’s Angels and Demons pact to not directly interfere, Heaven nor Hell can directly fight on the Earth as if they do that breaks the covenant, which means Armageddon and forced drama why God or Heaven can’t help us. So in TC we aren’t even fighting hell just fucking reddit edgelords who are so evil that hell accepts them as fighters, who after 800 years haven’t made any real ground in this war. >Where does it become /r/atheism the war game? The devs claim that there are no good guys and that the Christians are just as bad as hell, due to the methods they use to survive. Yes the Christians who are fighting against hell trying to murderfuck them out of existence, are just as bad as objective evil who want to wipe Humanity out. Also the Muslim faction constantly blames Christans for the state of the world, since a band of templars who were corrupted by hell did the ritual that opened the gates. Due to the devs being Reddit they love to leave out why the Crusades started, but since that would require pointing out that Islamic armies wanted to conquer Europe, they’ll keep quiet since /r/atheism doesn’t like attacking anything that isn’t Christianity. They also state that this isn’t a Christian themed game despite having heavy themes of it. >Why did they screech at 40k fans? For those who aren’t familiar with the state I’ll give you a brief rundown, GW has been taken over by left wing idiots who’ve been fucking the lore with retcons to appeal to progressive leftists. Naturally many 40k fans wanted to find a new grimdark series to move onto, Trench Crusade appeared to be the perfect fit as it was a bleak christian themed game, about fighting hell in an alt WW1 setting. Made 40k fans drool in excitement as it seemed a genuine alternative to 40k appearned, so a hype train was made for TC as the discords were flooded with 40k fans. Most upcoming companies would be insanely happy and take this opportunity to strengthen the brand, but due to TC’s creators being Reddit leftist they had a meltdown over 40k fans due a large number of them leaning right, and Christians due to the reddit atheist DNA. Which led to the left wing mods banning a very large number of potential customers that would’ve spent thousands if they weren’t stupid leftists, who hated the exact demographic the game they were making attracted. TC triples down and defends the moderation’s 40k and Chrisitan mass ban, which drove down the massive hype they garnered. It was then dug up that TC’s creators were former Blizzard, WOTC and that TC was funded by 28-mag, which is an extremely left wing TableTop gaming magazine group. Who due their own retardation went masks off too early, thus ruining their plans to garner a massive chunk in the /tg/ sphere from GW and BattleTech. >How are they doing now? Currently the left wing drones in the TableTop scene are shilling super hardcore across Reddit, 4chan, Youtube, Twitter and at conventions. But, in a massive twist of irony the very left they shilled for is calling them Eurocentric racists for the game’s European focused setting. Expect the Left wingers in TableTop in the coming months to years to try, and make this the left’s version of 40k. >But isn’t GW infested by left wingers anon? Yes but much of the fanbase is very right wing or Libertarian and GW, still can’t fully pozz as much as they'd like without taking a major financial hit. The Left wing part of TableTop wanted something pozzed from the ground up, but failed to understand that sjws don’t have the same buying power the right wing has. TC also failed to understand that since Trump’s recent re-election, much of the right in many of the entertainment spheres feel emboldened to go on the offensive against left wing creators. So they won’t forget the slight dealt against them. >What now? Point and laugh anons.
>>1086806 This is leddit the war game incarnate.
>>1086813 I can't get over it myself anon.
>>1086806 >Former Blizzard and WOTC I hope they all get cancer
>>1086806 Shame, really, because i thought the setting was neat. Oh well, at least i can get the rules/models for free somewhere.
>>1086806 > Heaven nor Hell can directly fight on the Earth as if they do that breaks the covenant, which means Armageddon and forced drama why God or Heaven can’t help us. That doesn't even make any sense, because if things ever got as bad as it is in the setting then God would just say "OK we're done here. Time for the End of Days and Last Judgment." That's literally in the Bible even. >And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
>>1086824 Most reddit atheist have never read the Bible.
>>1086819 Unfortunately, cancer can't develop cancer, anon.
>>1086819 It explains the safe edgy.
>>1086833 Fucking hate all of it, nobody has any balls anymore thanks to cocksuckers like this sanitizing everything in a ill fated attempt to push for mass comsumption. Now we get shit like Fortnite on a daily basis.
>>1086837 What I think what bugs me the most about the Trench Crusade shit is that it manged to make a setting about Hell invading in a WW1 setting feel safe. That takes talent.
(101.29 KB 500x707 Houkago-play_bueno.jpg)

>>1086806 The current drama is amusing enough, but just wait until the writers are forced into having to explain what the rest of the fucking planet has been doing for the last 800 years. There is no worldbuilding around the butthurt and seethe that will be generated from both the tradcaths and reddit athiests. Even the greatest writer in the world couldn't save them from the hole they've dug themselves into trying to appease both sides during all-time high of moral and political posturing.
>>1086843 Well, they got super butthurt when someone on their forums suggested that since Aztecs partook in human sacrifice and blood rituals, they'd be perfect for being targeting by a demon impersonating one of their gods and corrupting them. Naturally, they screamed "RACIST!" and banned him. Finished the new mission for SM2. The new prestige system is cool. Not sure it was a good idea to implement it this late after release. The game does not have the player base to sustain mission on easier difficulties. You end up playing by yourself if you are not playing on the harder difficulties.

You couldn't think of anything more special or unique than that? I love how fighting the nids feels but everything else feels incredibly phoned in. The PvP is boring as fuck, the customization is very underwhelming, the mission variety is super underwhelming and Space Marine 3 could range from even more phoned in reskin to literally having everything and the kitchen sink Dark Crusade tier expansion with loads more playable factions and freeform planetary map to fight over.(95% it's going to be the former)

Most of the weapon roster is at the very least viable outside of the Slaaneshi masochist mode, can't say the same for most of the talent trees though, Fatshark is really hit or miss when it comes to class design and balance. It's also really grindy until you unlock everything, then there's no point to your stockpile of useless money; though I hear SM2 has the same problem. There's also major issues with silent specials because the game just fucking muffles everything if it's not both targeting you, outside of a sound muting zone, and you're not doing an objective. It's something even people with 2k+ hours complain about. And every time they retouch the maps, they forget to remove or change these sound muting zones, leading to specific spots in the wide open where you can't hear disablers even when they're about to ruin your day. Even with all its flaws, I can't get enough of its gameplay. Speaking of, does anyone else here play Darktide?

I can only pray that if that happens then at least they make some other new 40k RPG like Only War.
>>1126508 Only War would work better as a tactics game like Xcom with expendable troops and some RPG elements instead of a full on RPG.
>>1126112 The itemization shit is what keeps me away. I guess they reworked the whole forging system at some point but I still don't really understand it. I just want to smash heretics, not crunch numbers.

I don't hide any post no matter how retarded it is. I rawdog this entire thread. It makes me stronger. It makes me feel alive.
>>1126552 As RPG its still meant to be one where players are little special. Expendable xcom would be different genre. For Only War RPG I imagine it would be something like starting off as line soldier going into a war listening to commands, get few squad mates, things get fucked up, comissar and rest dead and leadership cant be reached but PC and squad know something important, player takes control of the squad and it flows from there. But maybe dark heresy would be better

He has to keep hold of it at all times because when put at rest it has a nasty habit of teleporting itself somewhere for someone else to pick up, who will be INSTANTLY corrupted and allow the fuck off powerful daemon prince inside to come out.
>>1126300 the old one was better. I fucking hate the tactical rocks and "special effects" that plague nu models. also the way it looks like everyone's head is floating in a toilet bowl.because the armor is so high above the neck.

>>1130443 I'm mostly talking about the proportions. The tactical rock is almost expected these days, at least some models like Castellan Crowe have both of their feet level on the ground so you can just cut off the rock. Tactical rocks are the worst. GW somehow managed to replace the perfectly good drop pod with a new one that you can't close or fold up that has tactical rocks as one of the build options. The best part about the new terminators is that all their armour plates are separate pieces so you can do whatever you want with if you have access to a 3D printer.

I haven't played anything new than that co-op map where you send in a tram-bomb to blow up the ground floor of a hive tower. I can't remember if that was in the base game or if it was added afterwards. Worth going back to to look at the new stuff? The PVP seemed pretty trash, but the co-op seemed aight.
>>1132147 >I haven't played anything new than that co-op map where you send in a tram-bomb to blow up the ground floor of a hive tower. I can't remember if that was in the base game or if it was added afterwards. Ballistic Engine was in the base game, yeah. >Worth going back to to look at the new stuff? It's a good moment to come back I suppose, there's a lot of new things. They added 3 missions since the last time you played - first one on Kadaku where you have to kill a Bio-titan, second takes place during last campaign mission on Demerium and you have to fight Chaos Sorcerer then activate an Obelisk, the third that takes place on Avarax before Ballistic Engine operation- you get to kill Trigon. They also added Datavault which gives you info on various NPCs, places from the game and whatnot. The trick is you have to unlock them. You do that with new currency - Research points, which you earned by completing Ordeals (in game challenges). When you unlock enough of those entries you are rewarded with extra cosmetics (wargear, weapon skin). Something neat to make the game less stale. There's prestige system now too. If you ever played CoD it essentially works the same way, you have 4 prestige levels. Each time you prestige one of 4 levels you pick an extra talent. Only issue is (for some) that it requires you to get 25 levels each time. Your base perks are reset each time, but you keep your weapons' level. Oh and you have additional 10% XP for each prestige level for that particular class. There are cosmetics tied to the system as well - each class gets a unique piece of wargear for maxing out the prestige, you also get a right pauldron each time you enter new level. If you're into some Chapter cosmetics so far they added Raven Guard and Space Wolves plus Champion skins for Salamanders, Dark Angels, Imperial Fists and Space Wolves. There’s bunch of stuff to unlock on that front too. The PvP is still pointless filler, though. A waste of resources imo, which could be otherwise funneled into making more worthy content.
>>1120170 I play both SM2 and Dorktide, both games have a problem with not having enough content. SM for now at least gets new operation every 2-3 months while tide gets maybe 2 maps a year. Its sad because darktide really hits a homerun in gameplay, music and fun department. At least for me in havocs there are sometimes so many specials that audio begins to crap out. Also shitshark should be raped until morale improves.

>>1161656 Sounds like you don’t know what Slaanesh is about, since Hellraiser was a big inspiration for Slaanesh, and even for the Dark Eldar. The extreme S&M to the point where where pain and pleasure become the same thing is a dead ringer for Slaanesh followers, and the Deldar are also otherworldly torturers that come from a nightmare dimension to drag other people back with them to torture, and also are associated with puzzle box traps. You’ve got to read the Clive Barker novel if you haven’t yet too.
>>1162228 this is the cope. chaos is interesting because even though the characters are fantasy the concepts they represent are real. you don't have to look in b movies to find slaanesh, it's right there in the world. dumbing down a concept that's both wide ranging but also easy for people to identify and understand to "the wacky torture god" is completely retarded, and no matter how much you want to cope it clearly wasn't the original intention when you look at old fantasy characters like morathi and sigvald.
>>1164267 newfag alert, morathi wasn't associated with slaanesh until way after slaanesh was associated with hellraiser, and sigvald was only added in 2008, he's probably younger than (you)
>>1165198 Morathi was heavily implied to be associated with Slaanesh since her introduction basically. It was pretty much overt in storm of chaos and then slowly scaled back and outright removed later.
>>1165198 ok explain why they are the only sex related slaanesh characters then and the rest are all soyjacks with lobster claws
>>1161276 >because the original greater demons were all ripoffs of d&d demons and the one they picked for the keeper of secrets had claws The demon you're thinking of looked like this by the time the time the first RT demons were designed. >>1161656 >a complete flanderization of the idea of slaanesh People say this but 40k slaanesh has always been great as either power armor cenobites or sex, drugs and rock and roll treated like its in a christian cautionary film. I don't think any subtler and more nuanced depiction of them is really any better than guitar bolters. Warhammer is much like this, a lot of discussion about how it's actually really deep and powerful and maybe it's just me, but I like it when a guy with a really big metal hand punches an ork to death. Also Hellraiser's a great film.

>>1167921 It just isnt scary, when Slaanesh and the EC have the capacity to be the scariest. See the old EC design where they have masively dilated pupils due to the cocktail of drugs they're on at all times to enhance their sensations, and the piercings and facial/body horror going on. THIS is what Slaanesh worship should be, not purple skin and large heads. I blame noise marine guitar memes for warping the perception of Slaanesh worshippers. Noise marines are a cool idea but it should be treated with reverence as the effective tool of chaos that it is. I always wanted to do my own army of EC marines with some kitbashing so that I can make into reality what I imagined them to be like.
>>1167921 I think the justification for the weird color schemes is that they are such jaded sense freaks that subtle aesthetics didn't do anything for them anymore so they end up looking like the sparkledog version of BDSM-goths. The alien heads could maybe be justified by them slowly turning into Laer as punishment for exterminating them/because they got contaminated by Laeran genes because of Pimp Daddy's implants/just because Slaanussy has a certain look that s/he eventually applies to any of her worshipers. The guns do just look stupid though. >>1168221 Yeah GW is too worried that lil Timmy's mom will complain about the Slaaneshi models looking too sexualized, ignoring the fact that in order for little Timmy to be able to afford any of their models that both him AND his mom are going to have to be on their knees in an alley behind the drugstore for 6 days a week to make the kind of cash necessary.
>>1168221 like I've been saying that hellraiser shit is garbage flanderization. that's just a spooky monster that you try to rationalize as being sensation related or something. we already know what people who go down the drain with hard drugs look like in real life. we also know how people who become obsessed with perfecting their image with body modification end up. you can also look at the characters people make in games like corruption of champions to see what slippery slope deviants want to look like if they could change themselves with magic. so no, a slaanesh character shouldn't look like some kind of spider/human hybrid, it should look like a bogged out cross between michael jackson and madonna with plastic bimbo tits and a horse cock.

>>1171174 The old chaos dreads are better than the shitty hellbrutes. I'm kind of disappointed we didn't get an update of the Berzerker or Sonic dreadnaughts for World Eaters or Emperor's children. But who knows, maybe in 2028 we'll get them along with Red Butchers/Phoenix Guard for 40k.
>>1171152 Because current GW is garbage and they can't conceive of people who want to play Warhammer 40,000 games set in the 10,000 years that passed from the end of the Heresy and the end of M41. Gotta keep that garbage story "progressing". I think the recently announced Armageddon campaign is going to be treated like a separate conflict with minimal references to the past three wars that took place on that planet. I think 11th edition will finalize the complete reboot of the setting. For example in the old Blood Angels Codex before 9th and 10th edition you had characters who were canonically dead like Tycho, but they still had a unit entry in the codex. Along with many other characters who didn't even have official models. The reason why current edition is so limited because they also have a retarded policy of not writing rules for things that don't have a model. Limiting what players can do on their own. >>1171234 They should have never been taken out of the game and they should have never gutted FW.
>>1171301 >Gotta keep that garbage story "progressing" To be fair to GW, before 8th ed you had a lot of fags on places like /tg/ saying "Hurr durr, dey nevur move da story, Failbaddon the Harmless always on the verge of taking Cadia but never succeeding." Granted, those fags shut their mouths after the End Times of Fantasy, but still, GW listened and gave them exactly what they asked for.
>>1171387 Yeah, I wasn't one of those people. I was one of those still clinging to hope that the announced Imperial Armour volume would be released. I've been waiting for Fires of Cyraxus to come out for a very long time. Even the 200 centuries before the start of the 13th Black Crusade are enough to have consequential wars and conflicts. The Badab War is a good example of that. A 40K version of the Old World format would do well if it has the spirit of old modular rules. I might be delusional but I really want "historical" 40K that isn't Horus Heresy.
>>1120170 >Fatshark is really hit or miss when it comes to class design and balance Helldivers is the same. I think it might be a swede problem rather than a fatshart problem. Corpo gamedevs think they're being clever by nerfing/boosting based on player usage numbers while refusing to actually play their own game to understand why things get used and why other things don't. So I expect the duelling sword to get nerfed soon.
>>1171259 I wouldn't hold my breath for that. They seem to be gutting the individual chaos books and removing parts of their armies. Like terminators for World Eaters or tanks for Emperor's Children. I don't think we'll ever see Cult Terminators in modern 40K again. The Thousand Sons and Death Guard got lucky, because their army reboots were designed for a pre-8th edition game.

I've really enjoyed many WH40K games so far. Had a couple of questions for you anons >Space Marine 2 I played the original Space Marine ages ago; is the lore/catchup bit bundled into the start of 2 or should I go refresh myself on YT or something? Also, does anyone know a legit place to get the Ultra edition Steam key for anything less than $52? SO far I've found that to be the cheapest I think. >Dawn of War Anniversary Edition Played all of DoW1's campaigns and had a blast, up to and including Soulstorm. Now, I'm fucking around with the Unification mod particularly the Unification Campaign Addon which is fucking impressive, but I think they're straining against the engine and/or have uneven development. For instance, having to run the special version of the launcher in order to pick which races are "overwritten' for the campaign (though it does just plain expand some with new options. Even Tyranids have a special hive fleet starting area), and other factions seem to be major "2 in 1" setups. I think the Renegade Guard is the biggest one, when its obvious one of the devs is the primary impetus behind the Tekarn Shogunate side of things; it seems like they should just split that out entirely into its own thing rather than Renegade Guard. I am looking forward to the new 7.5.x update which seems to be coming soon? >DoW2, its expansions, and beyond Some say you need to play Dark Crusade and Soulstorm's campaign on the side of the Space Marines before DoW2? I played other factions primarily (of course the base campaign and winter assault had Marines as a major focal point). Any tips for DoW2? I hear how you build each unit matters significantly. Same with its expansions. Not sure about DoW3 which seems to be controversial. >Rogue Trader I know there's a new expansion coming, but any chance it will offer new content for older/existing characters, new endings/events too? Are there any good mods as of yet? Someone told me there's some sort of Argenta thing in the works but that may just be rumor will wish fulfillment.
>>1179288 Am so sad the Hearthstone Horus heresy mobile game stopped using old arts for modern soulless ones
>>1182198 I have the old edition of Visions of Heresy, if you ever see it in the wild it's worth getting because it has all the old art in it along with a timeline of events based on the old FW black books.
>>1181793 Space Marine 2 doesn’t have a catch up section. They refer to the first game quite a few times, and the main plot revolves around it too, so you might need to watch or play it again.
>>1181793 There are some references to Kurava in Dawn of War 2. DoW2 canonically sets up the campaign in Soulstorm as a loss for the Blood Ravens and the Dark Crusade as victory for Captain Thule and his task force. In Soulstorm the Blood Ravens deploy with half of their Chapter there and end up losing 3 whole Companies. The Devastator sergeant Avitus mentions killing guard infantry at Victory Bay.
>>1182231 Interesting
>>1181793 >I know there's a new expansion coming, but any chance it will offer new content for older/existing characters, new endings/events too? The previous expansion added loads of new content that wasn't directly related to the expansion new character so I'd expect the same here. Maybe not as big. The devs did also mention new content for old characters, in particular a romance for two NPCs if you don't romance either of them yourself , and that existing ending slides already hint at it ( I expect it'll be Marazhai and Kibellah)
>>1182332 Good to know, thanks. I played it ages ago, I ended up with the Anniversary Edition on Steam; is there anything "new" in the version or is it just more of the same and its probablybetter to go and just watch a summary or the cinematics or something? >>1182483 Good to know, thanks. Is there anything else I should know about DoW2's campaign (and its expansions when I get to it). I know unlike DoW1 there's less base building and its more mission based and maybe Company of Heroes setup (I actually like feeling like a commander of units that can make intelligent decisions rather than having to micro every little thing as if its fucking Starcraft in 96 again). I know that each unit has to be spec'd properly to get the most out of it, but I don't know how many points you get by the end. I hear that certain units are best used for certain abilities first of all (ie the Force Commander is practically meant to be a tank but also does a fuckload of damage anyway, so you spec into Health I think, but there are other things worth unlocking etc) . >>1182806 Thanks. I hope they keep adding more. As I recall in some previous Pathfinder games Owlcat added "secret endings" and stuff in updates and patches so maybe there will be more to come.

The DoW1 and presumably 2 and 3 upgrades are nice, as 1 has all the various expansions, but 2 as I recall has not just the expansion campaigns (Chaos Rising is another Marine focused story campaign I read, but Retribution can be played as other races too), the Last Stand modes, and an absolute fuckton of DLC be it characters or cosmetics etc. Now 3 I don't know anything about save for its considered controversial and/or shitty vs 1 and 2 which are nearly universally acclaimed so I guess we'll see.

How do I thunder hammer assault in space marine 2? >fully charged aftershock doesn't interrupt enemies, only time I can feasibly charge one is if no one is even currently attacking me because the ground pound stun isn't long enough >full charged aftershock can't reliably put majoris in execute range >can't do shit about zoanthropes >light spam doesn't even kill minoris
>>1190593 Your playing it wrong You kill majoris using ground pound. You only go for aftershock that isn't fully charged. With the right perk combos you can get a majoris into execute in a single ground pound or ground pound + uncharged aftershock. Also, the inferno pistol and plasma pistol (charged) should now let you stun and then drop an aftershock after (not fully charged though) >zoanthropes Yeah it's shit. You can sometimes get them if they hover low by charging aftershocks but it isn't consistent. Just gotta hope your team gets it >light spam Don't light spam. Charge the aftershock and hit the minoris with that. Also if it's a full on swarm on all sides, ground pound or reposition.
>>1182863 Don't overthink DoW2 campaign specs, anything can work. >>1191882 Adds space battles as a possible warp* encounter, I meant
>>1190593 Thunder Hammer is primarily meant for clearing out big swarms of enemies, rather than single targets. It’s slow, but really strong when used properly. Most important thing you need to learn when using it is when to cut the charge attacks short, and when to go all the way. You’ll also need to learn when to Ground Slam during your light combos to help with crowd control, or do big damage to a single target. Assault has perks that can boost charge damage for a greater effect, and give you more hyper armor on charge attacks. As for weapon perks, I’d go with the bottom row, since it reduces charge time, lets you do a second Ground Pound after your first, and you do two Aftershocks for your charge attack.
>>1190593 Also, when it comes to Zoans and Nueros, you might want to use the Plasma Pistol. The amount of damage you can deal if you Perfect Jump Pack Dodge the lasers with the right perks, and follow up with a Gun Strike is very significant. I’d also recommend using the Block Thunder Hammer. It’s got good Cleave, good Speed, and the amount of damage you can do after Perfect Blocking twice can be nuts.

Running the higher level difficulty missions on space marine 2, and I'm surprised by the variety of skill of players. I'll run a few missions with some brothers, and we're coordinated. We play safe and efficiently, and through the course of the mission we somehow end up with all of us having two medicae stims and never getting hit on hp, covering each other and feeding executes if our armor ever breaks. Other times, I'll play with someone who I'm almost certain is throwing, missing parries or blocks, running in alone, rolling through hordes to take executes away from people who's armor just broke. I just had someone who got downed, picked up, and by some miracle we found two medicae for him right away. Perfect, we can clear that mortal wound so he won't die if he goes down again. Instead of healing, he held onto the stims, pushed another horde, and immediately dies. The game is fun, but sometimes you really have to work harder because of other people. Assault class is either the emperor reincarnated and dominates every horde, ending the mission with 20k+ melee damage, or a brother dragging their feet and ending a 40 minute mission with sub 5k total damage.
>>1258592 A loyalist, who's fought the enemies of mankind times and times again (and saved this corner of the galaxy almost on his own), make sure his worlds paid their tithes on time, and is vouched by some of the highest and most (relatively) trustworthy guy in the sector... is liked more than any common nobles and actually make the life of everyone better? >>1259943 > make sure his worlds paid their tithes on time, and is vouched by some of the highest and most (relatively) trustworthy guy in the sector. Yeah, lore wise the Imperium won't care if you hold elections or observe human rights in your territory. So long as the tithes keep coming and there's no chaos worship. And they didn't even suggest that you were influenced by chaos, they just didn't like how you ran your planet. This NEVER happens in the lore, the Imperium is completely agnostic as to how you govern so long as >you worship the God-Emperor >the tithes keep coming It's been pointed out before that Owlkek has very poor writing in the ending slides.

For the space marines, I wouldn’t go farther than a single, very small chapter. But I’d be alright with just a few individuals. Honestly I could go with an alliance of circumstances, with the space marines’ gear broken beyond repair and the soldier is using T’au gear to fight against enemies of humanity (while the T’au are dropped down the extermination priority list). >>1263804 Yeah, I also remember that the “good” ending with the shereem girl is her becoming successful independent of you but still your close friend. >>1264354 >Honestly I could go with an alliance of circumstances, with the space marines’ gear broken beyond repair and the soldier is using T’au gear to fight against enemies of humanity (while the T’au are dropped down the extermination priority list). That's kind of a neat idea. A chapter that just scavenges everything (unless tainted Chaos) that they can. I just realized typing this that's just Blood Ravens basically. Which could be because they're considered traitors to most of the Imperium but are loyalists.
>>1264406 That, or a scenario that I had in my mind was that T’au diplomats try to negotiate better terms with the Imperium, and as a show of goodwill they rescue space marines that have been left for dead due to a heroic sacrifice. Obviously the marines aren’t happy with being saved, especially so by filthy xenos and traitors. Then a major threat arises, like a chaos warband, orks or tyrannids, and the marines are offered a choice. Either sit this one out because it’s not their fight and the main casualties would be enemies of mankind, plus they are “guests” needed to be kept alive for diplomatic reasons… or fight against the invaders because they would surely be a threat to the Imperium afterwards, plus it’s their duty to exterminate the enemies of man. Some could, even if begrudgingly, feel indebted to the xenos and doing nothing would be dishonourable. Cowardly even.
Just had a game in darktide where the lag was so bad the nurgle mobs started floating and running up the stairs into the air new warp tech, perhaps? lmao

Also, it was Persia and Christian Arab that started a 3 way war which became a war between Caliphate vs Persia and Byzantine. You also ignore the part where Muhammad didn't start sh!t. He only asked Arab states to join in a Pan Arab empire under his rule where their autonomy was respected. But Christian Arab wanted to show their loyalty to Christianity and killed the messenger as a way to provoke war. Seizing of the Holy Land only came because they thought by not since they also have Jesus in their religion. >>1251134 How many of that fvcking mattered given the fact it didn't help deterioate them but the Mongols did. And Crusaders knocked Caliphate out of the talks with Byzantine to do something about Turks which most Muslim statesman didn't liked and also wanted to do something against.

Newfag who is getting into the lore here. Why are the Eldar willing to work with the Imperium despite the xenophobia? Or better question would be why is the Imperium working with factions of the Eldar recently?

>>1251086 >>1302269 >Muslim lying yet again and not reading his own book to see that it fucking encourages lying to Kafirs Kill yourself you sand kicking goat fucker >>1317807 Because, G man got blown by an Eldar but mostly joking aside. The reason is because people on both sides have been trying to reach out to each, other for centuries to form alliances or at the very least not kill each other on sight. Due to Yvraine G-Man's waifu saving him from his 10k coma, relations have improved between the two sides. But it's more of while the Eldar are not friends they, are also not quite enemies either.
>>1317807 In most cases it's a very one-sided relationship where Eldar gaslight and manipulate the fuck out of a target to make them do their bidding, because humans have teeming multitudes of warm bodies to throw at any problem, and better 1,000,000 humans die than 1 Eldar. So they get to sit back and do the Gendo pose while whispering "just as planned" while Imperials do all the ground work for them. When Chaos is involved they might put in a little more effort because wanting to put a chastity cage on the big purple slut is one of the few things they and Imperials can agree on. Generally everything Eldar do is based on them being absolutely TERRIFIED of death, and if working with the lunatic mon'keigh death cult we call the Imperium helps then they'll gladly do it.
>>1318987 Much of the younger Eldar, I've noticed are more open to a more formal alliance and shocking number of inquisition, and even higher ups in the Imperium in recent years have become desperate enough to want an open military alliance.
>>1319439 All radicals. Monodominant Thorianism is the way.
>>1318987 Pretty much.

Any news on the RT DLC?
>>1389042 There's a new class that lets you use familiars, martial backgrounds get a cyberdog to pile on extra attacks, psykers can get a psy-raven to increase their casting range, that kind of thing

>>1079335 Sons of Malice need more love.
>>1390537 Yeah, a bunch of games just got announced at a Warhammer stream that I missed due to my power going out. There's also remasters of Space Marine and Dawn of War from Relic.
>DoW1 modding with 64-bit >free from 4gb limit Wondering if the UA and Unification teams are happy about this or if they're already tying nooses (neese??)
>>1390537 Oh shit I wonder if this means we'll get only war next?
>>1390911 Unification is probably gonna enjoy it, UA is fucking dead.
>>1390911 The remaster's supposed to support every single mod
>>1390712 Mechanicus 2 also got announced.
>>1391032 Probably get Deathwatch or Black Crusade because GW breaks out in hives every time a game releases that doesn’t have SPESS MAHREENS.
>>1391305 Pretty much my thoughts.
>>1390911 UA has been dead for some time due to dev drama
>>1391303 >Woman voice It's shit, all this femoid and nigger push, along with retarded Blizzard tier art design in 40K is making the setting generic trash.
I'm pumped for Dark Hersey.
>>1086361 really? first time I hear about it. >>1086806 >THAT’S THE LEVEL OF EDGE WE’RE DEALING WITH HERE the only good part about this whole thing.
>>1251130 >Byzantines and Persians to all but destroy each other please anon dont call them persians they were sasanids persians were a small village that existed for 2 decades before being gobbled up by the medes
>>1259902 No way. Idira has an ending where she starts going to church with Argenta and generally mellows the fuck out, stops being so haunted by visions and shit. Literally gets a sister (girl)friend and gets saved by faith in Big E. Can't get better than that.
>>1390911 I think Unification is shit (faction bloat makes it insufferable to find anything and I'd rather keep the weebshit I enjoy separate from 40k) and UA splintered into like 5 different mods because Discord users are shitflinging retards that got pissy because someone wanted to do half a trillion small updates a year while another wanted to do one big update a year
>>1392744 Didn't know that had happened to Unification. Every time shit like this happens in modding communities I remember why despite the overall shit they do sometimes, we need producers and suits. Much as you hate them, their role is fundamental in tard wrangling devs and other creator types.

>>1394425 >new paid class They made you pay for this shit before too in Vermintide 2. It sucks, but this is nothing new sadly.
>>1395057 Last i heard that was 5 dollars this is 12 euros/12 usd (or maybe 15?) and that game at least had a solo mode you could play and you know why you need solo mode? because the game right now feels deader then a nurgle followers dick.
>>1395095 Wait, they still haven't made a solo with bots option yet? Good lord.

>>1395124 Nope, and the recent sale only did a little to stabilize the numbers, people are PISSED at the dlc costing money when the game is barebones and has so many problems.
>>1262796 Left him on cumrag and had the knifear shot. While I was pissed about the whole ordeal, it ended up being a net positive.
>>1395407 That is a shame. I haven't played in a long ass time and naively assumed it would have been better by now.
>>1395407 >>1395850 I really want to love darktide but they keep doing retarded shit.
>>1395875 Fatshark has been doing stupid shit for a lot longer than Darktide. Look up their past games, and you will quickly find they have a history of being retarded.
>>1395332 I'll reserve judgement. Could end up being a well done character.
