Golf games Anonymous 04/20/2025 (Sun) 17:53:42 Id: 889bb7 No. 1179302
What's your go to golf game you play to chill?
>>1179302 still my favorite golf game of all time https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuMs165H6sI
>>1179761 Interesting choice. Never saw that one before.
>>1180492 you know any mini golf game that has gimicky fields like this one?
>>1181053 Pretty much every min golf game has a lot of gimmicks. Walkabout Mini Golf is the best, but it's VR. Golf with your friends is good with rather wild gimmicks but the dlc situation is a bit silly. Tower Unite has a good mini golf games but the gimmicks aren't that fancy but there are some wild workshop courses. Maybe also Dungeon Golf, but it's not classical mini golf.
Hot Shots Golf 3's my jam, though it can take quite a while to 100%
>>1179302 PSP got the 2 best galf games ever made and it's not even a contest. The only game I can say compares to either is a completely different game in spirit and that's Neo Turf Masters.
>>1189525 Hotshots was the only game I liked

>>1189525 >On the green! Those are all good. I have to give the Pangya/Swing with Style version for the wii a try. It's supposed to have more content than the psp version.
>>1189525 what do you think of the tennis games on the psp?

I like Toadstool Tour, especially since you can link to Advance Tour which has one of the best single player campaigns in a sports game ever.
>>1192891 Sorry, I am not really interested in tennis vidya. For me it's all about that galf.
Birdie crush was pretty good until the severe difficulty spike and grindfest it became at a certain point. It's basically Hot Shots modernized with anime girls.
Theres a good chunk of us who play golf in VR on both Walkabout MiniGolf and Golf+

>>1196088 I wish that game had less mobile enshittification with all those red exclamation marks, dailies, weeklies, buy this, buy that. I have a really hard time ignoring all that shit and just play it for the golfing.
>>1196212 That's what I was talking about with the grindfest. Imagine if this wasn't a mobage and people just paid up front for the game, without all the cancerous microtransactions and grind
I remember trying out games I have never played for the nes and ended up liking nes open tournament golf. Also wii sports golf was pretty comforting from what I remember.
For me, it's all the T&E Soft golf games. A very peculiar slice of stylization that would come across as a boring parody if done "straight". The combination of 80s-90s limitations strongly clamping down on ambitions of cutting edge graphics that leads to a considerably slower pace and very crunchy, restricted 3D worlds. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5WLNM2Nv-M https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDcDSY-Xp1A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VpsZ_9vcu4 If one was to recapture that essence as best as possible, one would have to cram pathtracing or gaussian splat rendering onto the Switch and get a Max/DSP savant to do an ambient soundtrack. Viable but with open foundational compromises.
>>1189867 Be sure you get the undub version

(885.02 KB 2302x1438 Dickens.jpg)

Links 386 Pro. Max Dickens knows how to stuff his balls into all the holes on the Back 9, with as many or as few strokes as it takes.
(270.49 KB 810x628 neverputt.png)

Neverputt is a rather fun minigolf game.
>>1326205 Woah, I did not know that neverball also included a minigolf game. That is neat.
Walkabout Minigolf is pretty comfy and fun but then again it's the only golf game I've played since PGA Tour 2 back in the Mega Drive days.

(88.81 KB 637x358 tabletop mini golf.jpg)

I'm getting a kick out of the Tabletop Simulator minigolf series, my favorite has obviously got to be Neo Turf Masters. I still find so many neat graphical details to this day in that gem. By the way, how come no one has ever modded Wii Sports to have multiple courses? Seems to me like a no brainer of an idea. Also is there any golf game with a comprehensive, well put together course creator?
I went around the list of vidya on the Vita and found Everybody's Golf. It was comfy until I got to the bronze challenges and constantly losing my temper to those FUCKING SLOPES THAT MAKE MY SHOTS ROLL INTO BUNKERS Also Isabelle is very cute, very French and has a very soft voice.
PANGYA!
>>1418761 I played this game so much. I really miss it. It was so special.
(52.88 KB 500x500 squidward raygun.jpg)

(29.92 KB 331x462 Isabelle.webp)

>The Legacy of golf Links course on Everybody's Golf Vita This is the Anti-Christ, not comfy at all. There is more OBs and pitfalls than fairways or even roughs, and you can consider youself lucky to land on a bunker, Hole 13 is just devilish. Even Tiger Woods PGA on the DS was less stressful. Also I didn't find any hentai of Isabelle.

(1.23 MB 1080x607 athf golf.png)

Has anyone ever actually played the ATHF golf game? I've only ever seen it referenced and consider its nature I sort of doubt it's even that great of a golf game mechanically speaking. >>1193554 Pretty sure Toadstool Tour was the only golf game I ever actually enjoyed playing as a kid. >>1404763 Neat, that looks pretty fucking cool.
Any Kirby's Dream Course spiritual successors? I know it's a bit of a stretch to call it golf but you do knock a ball into a hole in the fewest moves possible, and man is it satisfying to get a hole right (after tons of trial and error tweaks). >>1423448 It's more conceptually interesting than particularly good. A golf game where you have you get to your ball while being attacked by enemies is a great idea, and as far as I know ATHF and the old Atari 7800 game Ninja Golf are the only real examples.

>>1423467 >Any Kirby's Dream Course spiritual successors? I'm working on one with catgirls. I know it doesn't look isometric yet but I plan to make it such.
>>1451290 Very cute.
