I know that it's very easy and its combat has very little depth but I don't see these points as flaws. Okami is not an arcadey action game like DMC and Bayonetta, instead it's an action adventure game. It's way more experiential and that's amazing. I love its art style, its world, and its characters. All of those things are as important as the gameplay in this type of game and Okami and nails all of these things. Also, I don't get why so many people have issue with its length because if Okami was shorter then the experiential aspects of the game would be greatly diminished as Clover would have to cut a lot of areas and characters in order to make the game shorter.

I remember taking a 6 month break in playing it because the entire first arc against Orochi already feels like a full game and by the time I got to the Capital to dispel Yami, about 40 hours had passed already. It's a great game, it just took me awhile to beat. They're working on a sequel, apparently. Not sure how that's going to work out.

>>1769723 I think a lot of people who dislike the game, simply got filtered by the first hour or two of the game, in which there is barely any combat, just a lot of running around and cutscenes. The game does become much better after that as you unlock more abilities, and fights get more interesting, but that intro is very bad, especially on subsequent playthroughs, Imagine if Devil May Cry 3 started with 1 hour of platforming with long cutscenes every 5 minutes, in which Dante slowly unlocks his basic abilities, before starting Mission 1 : A crazy party.
