Obscure and underrated games Anonymous 11/15/2025 (Sat) 03:09:45 Id: 895ec1 No. 1934615
Anons have interesting taste, so I want to hear what you guys like that's off the beaten path. Obscure here does not mean Steam game with 20 reviews, but something that's not well known. Something you don't see discussed on the board or much of anywhere. And something you actually like. This is not the same as >>1416920, that's a related but different concept.
There are like five versions of this game but they're all decent
>>1934632 I find it a colossal shame that the modern equivalent of this is the godawful "digging a hole with your friends" genre.
>>1934615 Did you check out this thread >>1416920? >>1934632 There was a pretty nice looking updated version that came out some years ago.

>>1934632 I believe the closest modern thing to motherload is Coal LLC.
>>1938491 Steamworld Dig is quite good, I prefer the first one over the second one.
>>1934615 >Obscure here does not mean Steam game with 20 reviews, but something that's not well known. Something you don't see discussed on the board or much of anywhere. Little Magic (GBC). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGuY7jPoQcc It was the one original project made by a company that only made licensed shovelware. A 100+ level puzzle game about a young witch-in-training named May who's put through the ultimate test. It plays sorta like Sokoban where you must push the statue to its spot, then find the exit. The catch is that May can move it using timed explosives and levels begin to add more and more hazards and enemies that can destroy the statue or kill/trap you. So, you gotta avoid then while creating chain reactions to move the statue around. The GBC port is a remake of the SNES version and it introduces a save feature, better art direction and postgame levels with an unlockable character.
>>1934615 I have Primordia and it's okay but it's just a plain adventure game with a plot really. I don't get the cult hype around it.
>>1958829 Clarity is cute
>>1958829 I would agree. it's a good game, but the hype around it was big for no reason. there are other good adventure games that nobody even mentions
