Metaphor: ReFantazio Brand new gameplay stream Anonymous 04/22/2024 (Mon) 22:40:42 Id: b3c5be No. 961200
>An October release A good decision considering Elden Ring's DLC is going to dominate the summer along with other titles.
Western and Japanese Collector's Editions.
I'm surprised this is getting a day 1 PC release.
>>961252 Because Sega realised that most of the West, Western Taiwan and Worst Korea plays mostly on PC. So having it on a platform that will sell millions on is a no brainer, PC has even gotten big in Japan in the past 5 years.
The bad guy looks smug 24/7.
>>961252 >I'm surprised this is getting a day 1 PC release. I don't consider denuvo games to be true PC releases, sadly.
(751.40 KB 852x756 Best elf ded.png)

She's done for.
>>961307 I doubt they'd spoil a character death. That's either: a flashback, she's just seriously hurt, they can bring people back in this universe or like a vision or something.
>>961310 All I know is if I can get her to breed.
>>961252 Because they know people will buy it on PC in droves.
What the hell happened here earlier?
>>961436 Autism but don't worry about it.

>>961318 Welp, looks like a no. Frankly, I've kind of lost a lot of interest after this announcement. I imagine they lost most of the Persona crowd too. And for those of you who are SMT fans who are like "Hey I hate the romance and waifu faggotry in Persona games" realize this game will be as baby easy as a Persona game and will have the same tone (hell it's even rated T) it just won't have any waifus. Basically all the stuff you hate will still be there, it just won't also have the things the other side likes. Much like TMS this is a game that will aim for the middle and please no one. https://nitter.poast.org/Persona_Central/status/1782794060169662820#m
(300.37 KB 1240x1754 ZwVCnU.jpg)

>>961498 I don't get it. Appealing to waifufags with romance was one of modern Purse-Owners biggest draws to the series and you just know they would want it here too, especially since it also has a social link-esuqe system. Why do I have a feeling SEGA/Atlus pandering to ESG is responsible for this decision somehow? >Much like TMS this is a game that will aim for the middle and please no one. I can at least hope that it'll be a fun game.
>>961498 This strikes me as a disastrous choice and I would not be shocked if they did a patch later for waifu faggotry.
(128.77 KB 241x314 1444511346251[1].png)

>>961507 No, they'll probably add it in the inevitable re-release a couple years from now that adds new story content, extra bosses, new endings, and new gameplay mechanics. And you'll also be expected to pay full price for the glorified DLC because Atlus still has their PS2 era consumer model.
>>961509 Fucking screen cap this and the new release will be rated M due to them adding back the Romance (which I think was cut), and it will be released before P6 or a new SMT game to hold people over.
>>961504 >Why do I have a feeling SEGA/Atlus pandering to ESG is responsible for this decision somehow? This was my first thought as well. Like some western faggot said they had to include lots of gays if there was going to be romance so they just said no romance. >>961507 I agree with >>961509 I expect this version to undersell. Probably not to Soul Hackers 2 or TMS levels but it will definitely sell less than P3R and maybe even SMTVV. In a couple of years they'll do a re-release and lo' and behold suddenly the game will have romance. Though it might be too late to save it's reputation by then. I honestly don't get this decision at all. Team Zero has added romance to all three of their previous games. MRF has every appearance of a Persona game mechanically and they are taking out one of the most talked about aspects.
>>961252 Sega console game sales are dead in the water from looking at sales charts, Sony castrating releases didn't help, it's why they've been doing it.
>>961514 I'm surprised they haven't released Unicorn Overlord on PC if that's true.
>>961515 Because Vanlliaware asked Sega/Atlus to not have it on PC for whatever reason.
>>961516 I know, but you'd think SEGA would basically make a PC port behind their back.
>>961517 Atlus decided to honour their choice to not have the game sell even more on PC.
>>961498 >>961513 >>961504 My confusion is why rehashino tried to style part of it like an early 80s Tomino anime but the mc character design looks like a lazy re-paste from Persona (unless it was either that or a fuccboi haircut)
>They removed romances >Which are extremely popular in RPGs both Western and Eastern >The Japanese who love Atlus for allowing them to have waifus have always bought the fuck out of Atlus games >SEGA and Atlus think this won't cause the Japanese version to suffer heavily Man I really wanted this game to do well I really did /v/. But this will cause loss of sales in Japan and even here in the sjw west this shit won't fly as look how well Blading gay did when it let you fuck whatever moves. Good luck SEGA you'll need it!

>>961498 >No self-insert romance shit Good, the Social-Sim shit has been a crutch for their bad aspects and offloading what should important character moments into side-activities meant to fellate the player. The Modern Persona games and their consequence have been a disaster for Atlus as a whole, if Hackshino can stick the landing for this one I see a bright future ahead for Atlus even with Kaneko ditching the company.
>>961542 Read the whole post, faggot, the social sim aspects are still there. It still has social links. It still has the power of friendship. It will still be piss easy and have shonen anime vibes. The only thing it doesn't have is romance specifically: in short it still hates your side just as much.
>>961542 Read the post it still has all the stuff you SMT fags are asshurt over. >>961545 >in short it still hates your side just as much. Were they trying to appease both sides you think?
(8.39 MB 1280x720 persona_5_fans.mp4)

>>961545 Retards trying to compensate for a lacking social life through a self-insert romance is still part of what enabled Fatlus to change to it's current state. It's baby steps but if it has other things going on I'm willing to give it a shot unlike the series wearing old Kaneko's designs and Satomi's concepts like a skinsuit. If they think that helps separating the game from Purseowner that's more power to Meguro and company. At least it's looking to be somewhat new. >>961550 I think Hashino's just sick of remaking Persona 3 at this point and wants to step away from it. I'm willing to give the game a shot if it's less obnoxious with the player pandering and padding. The general art direction seems actually somewhat inspired instead of generic modern day and the monster designs actually look unique this time.
I'm in a strange spot as I can't stand either Persona or SMT fans as both act insufferable. But this game does peak interest for me. I've played SMT and Persona they're ok but the fanbases of both turned me off.
>>961554 So I assume that means you like SMT4A then? It doesn't have romance options or social links. But since you're fine with the power friendship and shonen anime things that means you're okay with that game now, right?
>>961562 This is a huge reason why I don't like SMT fans as they aren't consistent with what they want from the games. Also SMT isn't nearly as full of depth as they like to think it is. If the queers want depth they can play older CRPGs or they can play last remnant. As to not leave Persona shits out of the fun the games are easy as fuck and have zero depth but the music is very good I will concede on that.
(509.63 KB 990x3130 last.jpg)

>>961567 > last remnant
>>961545 >It will still be piss easy This is the most disappointing part. Why even have the journo difficulty option if you're just gonna cater all the other difficulty options to braindead retards too?
(54.38 KB 500x408 Time to die.jpg)

>>961562 >So I assume that means you like SMT4A then? >"If you accept X in Y you definitely like Z in A" SMT4A is the worst of both worlds, a plot about power of friendship/kumbaya and shallow fanservice in a setting that doesn't support it, a combat system that is a completely fucked iteration of press-turn, designs that shit on everything SMT stood for and a shallow understanding of myth and philosophy.Music is good, but it's wasted on a game with a stupidly designed combat system and retarded plot- It's supposedly a familiar franchise entry with very few if none of the aspects that actually make a franchise with a team that clearly does not understand what it's doing or who it's aiming for. Compare this skinwalker shit to a team outright admitting wanting to make something different than what they've been making the past 2 decades and wanting to make a new brand for just that. One is downgrading what is already there to ape something poorly and the other is attempting to chart new ground, how much of that is new is to be seen but what they've shown so far is promising. >>961567 >last remnant Played it, got stuck near the end and close to do one of the optional missions but BR is too high to do all the shit I want. I could replay it now that I understand battle rank properly, but It's very behind my backlog until I do other shit.
>>961583 >Compare this skinwalker shit to a team outright admitting wanting to make something different than what they've been making the past 2 decades and wanting to make a new brand for just that It has a calendar and social links. This is not "different." This is the exact same thing lacking one specific element.
(68.99 KB 1280x720 maxresdefault.jpg)

>>961567 <This is a huge reason why I don't like SMT fans as they aren't consistent with what they want from the games. BECAUSE SMT WAS NEVER CONSISTENT. IT IS A WHOLE ASS FRANCHISE WITH A SHIT TON OF EXPERIMENTAL TITLES AND SPINOFFS. If anything, the main plague of Purseowner is the worrying homogenization of Fatlus's output, which this title FINALLY BREAKS. Metaphor is basically just ripping up the FATE system from Devil Survivor 2 and slotting it into this game. All SMT fans want is the old spirit of experimentation and deviation back, not just plopping a digital recreation of Shibuya into their laps.
>>961609 >homogenization of Fatlus's output, which this title FINALLY BREAKS No it doesn't. It has a calendar and social links. It's more Persona than SMT4A was.
(541.60 KB 1201x406 devil survivor calendar.png)

>>961615 <It has a calendar and social links ...like Devil Survivor? If anything, this thread is exposing how people don't play SMT games outside of Purseowner.
>>961617 SMT don't play SMT games outside of, being generous, Nocturne
>>961617 Devil Survivor 1 is what happens if you took the social links from modern Persona and actually made it meaningful to the main plot.
>>961617 If you think this game is more similar to Devil Survivor than Persona you are actually retarded.
>>961617 To be fair that game went over a week and shit was less Social links and more if the characters and their friends were even alive and aware of you by the time of the final day. Social Links were about an abundance of time, DeSu's time management is about the in theory stricter amount of time. >>961619 DDS 1 & 2, Raidou games, Soul Hackers, SMTII, SMT V, Strange Journey, SMTIV, SMT IF and DeSu1(2 looked too much like a departure from 1 for my liking). >>961622 That would actually be Persona 2, each party member was given a focused arc that encouraged you to let them handle themselves and then the arc returned for the each party members shadow confrontations as a flag-pole of their development before the finale.
>>961609 >>961617 Metaphor takes alot after Persona 5 are you delusional?
>>961498 According some in the comments " This doesn't mention no romance at all, and midori answered a someone's question asking if dating was gonna be in the game. She said yes but it's gonna be very different than persona". So what might be happening is there will be romance but not like how it is in Persona, which makes me wonder how this will play out now.
>>961696 So /v/, SMT&Persona fags along with the rest of the internet jumped the gun with the no romance thing?
>>961696 Could you show a link to that?
>>961700 I'm gonna look in the live stream for that post but this guy seems to have actually watched the Q&A stream. I'm gonna watch it and try to find it, then clip it as we might've been mislead. https://nitter.poast.org/GandyMarcelo/status/1782855126153113940#m

>>961707 Do you speak moon? Sadly I don't can you translate exactly what they say?
>>961709 I'm meh at it but I'll try to after work.
>>961696 >>961702 This is interesting.
So any update on this? Is there a translation somewhere now?
>>961838 October 11th
>>961696 >>961707 >disinfo Another episode of EOPs EOPing shit up like the niggers they are. God I can't wait for cultural sakoku and the nips actively cutting off translation of their works as a whole. From 1:38:07 onwards, they talk about how relationships with followers won't proceed to romance(with the reasoning being that romance isn't/can't be a major concern given the state of things in the world) but will instead develop the story through deepening bonds, that the relationships could be considered close enough to romance given how deep the bonds would become, and that engaging in romance with what are more or less supporters in an election doesn't particularly make sense. Fuck Personaniggers, lest I forget.

>>961846 >play it for the first time more like "pay for it a 2nd time"
Alright I'm back from being a wagie and watched the stream, this info is rather interesting as both SMT and Persona fans technically got what they wanted and didn't want in the Anti/Pro Romance debate simultaneously. Headlines saying there is no romance is misleading as Metaphor's version of bonds/social links will contain romantic elements but not dating sim tier like Persona 3-5, they apparently stated that bonds/social links with the party will have interactions more in line with traditional RPGs. So the Persona fans hoping to waifu it up will be disappointed, and SMT fans who were jacking it on the spot to the thought of zero romance to spite Persona fans will be disappointed, Atlus found a middle ground that will leave both unsatisfied. So the tweet here >>961702 was correct in a sense, also I noticed the English trailer lacks the bright red blood the Japanese version has with some other stuff which I'll post soon.
>>961850 Thanks for actually doing it, anon, unlike the other people who just made vague allusions. That's pretty cut and dry. Well you couldn't ask for a better year to see how much waifus mean to Atlus sales. You've got three Atlus games releasing in one year. Persona 3 R was the best selling Persona game to do date and the fastest. SMTVV will be out in the middle of the year as a good baseline/control. Now we have this, a game is for all intents and purposes a Persona game with no romance. We shall see how it does.
>>961891 The game has diet Persona social shit?
>>961898 That's been known since almost the beginning anon. It has a calendar too. It's basically just fantasy Persona. The ONLY thing it doesn't have is at the end of the s-links with the girls they don't say "I love you" that's it. Otherwise it's the same. It's why the notion that removing it somehow would massively change Atlus back to how they used to be was always laughable.
(367.09 KB 675x717 cat mad.PNG)

>>961896 > SMTVV will be out in the middle of the year <It's coming out the month Shadow of the Erdtree drops Yea they'll be eclipsed by it unfortunately. >>961898 It's similar but different. >>961900 Yea that's why I said > So the Persona fans hoping to waifu it up will be disappointed, and SMT fans who were jacking it on the spot to the thought of zero romance to spite Persona fans will be disappointed, Atlus found a middle ground that will leave both unsatisfied. People hoping for zero romance got mislead and people who want waifu shit got a diet version of it. >. It's why the notion that removing it somehow would massively change Atlus back to how they used to be was always laughable. This line of thought baffled me.
>>961891 So it's DeSu 2's FATE system. Told you all.
(424.69 KB 706x1200 I agree.png)

>>961903 >>961910 Is TORposting even possible anymore? I thought the onion site was down.
>>961914 Yes, Acid brought it back up recently IIRC. Either that or the schizo is posting directly through the website tools or some shit.
>>961953 >>961956 Why the hell did they censor blood in the western trailer when that shit is tolerated more in the west than even Japan especially when cero gets anal over the littlest shit?
>>961959 I'm just as fucking confused as you are!
>>961959 They know their fans are little sissy faggots
>>961891 >Atlus found a middle ground that will leave both unsatisfied I'm somewhat ok with the romance being on the lighter side of things.
>>961953 >>961956 Let's hope this censorship only applies to the trailer and not the actual release. Though, I guess if the western release DOES get censored, it'll be some good fuel to the fire that is the localization discourse and will show just how shit Atlus USA has become. Just a shame that this game would be the sacrificial lamb for that.
>>962129 I would have no problem with there just being a fixed romance and character relationships like a normal ass jrpg. I was fully expecting it to be a normal jrpg. Then they did the calendar and s-link stuff and that muddied everything so everyone assumed it was like Persona. They should have just never done the calendar and diet s-link stuff in the first place and likely then no one would have questioned it.
>>962129 I'm not terribly upset but I'm somewhat laughing at how Atlus cucked both sides. >>962135 >Just a shame that this game would be the sacrificial lamb for that. I'd be upset as I've been looking forward to this game for 8 years now. >>962137 I think they wanted both SMT and Persona fans along with the wider RPG audience, but didn't do enough research of what those groups wanted. The calendar and diet s-links end up pissing off their SMT and Persona fans, now the question is how the wider RPG audience they've been targeting will react. They should've just either done absolutely zero romance or doubled down on what P3-P5 did with the dating sim shit, this in-between might up hurting it.
>>962135 The entire company has become shit in 2013 to be fair. Atlus USA having shit translations is just the cherry on top of a shit sundae.
>>961891 So we're getting romance of a sort?
I don't get why you anons are making such a big deal about the lack of outright dating and romance sim elements. That shit and the school setting are the whole reason I was turned off from the Persona series. The fact that this game has the long-term time management stuff and has a fantasy setting with more traditional romance/friendship writing instead of locking it behind dating sim BS actually makes me much more interested in it. Hell, I'd even buy it on PC if it wasn't going to have Denuvo in it. Yeah I know they haven't announced such but it's SEGA, they put denuvo in a shitty upscale port of decades-old games with the EO collection, they're going to put that trash in this.
>>961891 >The game is getting a more traditional RPG party friendship/romance that isn't dating simulator nonsense That and the more traditional RPG elements make me take notice. Well shame the PC version will have DRM.
>>962181 >I don't get why people like different things than me Not every Persona fan is an SMT fan.
>>961906 >TFW Metaphor ends up being a spiritual successor to DeSu 2's system This isn't necessary a bad thing Anons.
>>962273 But it doesn't look like that? It looks like social links. You just won't be able to go "I love you" at rank 9. That's the only difference.
>>962320 They really are approaching this game from a more traditional RPG sense with how the party works. The archetypes are more of a job system with the ability to customise them.
>>962320 >>962327 I was expecting Fantasy Persona 5 or Fantasy Nocturne, but Atlus is flirting with more conventional Role playing game elements. This game will make or break Atlus, as how many years did this game take to develop again?
>>962406 >This game will make or break Atlus After 8 years they have to.
>>961891 So many were acting like the devs said zero romance. Thanks for clarifying this anon.
>>962526 >So many were acting like the devs said zero romance >>961850 makes it seems like he's bullshitting though.
>>961891 I was going to call bullshit but this lines up with what a lot of other people I've asked have said about this.
>>961956 SHE DOES IT AGAIN!!!!
>>961953 >>961956 >>961959 >>961962 >>962021 >>962135 Trailers are often randomly and inconsistently censored depending on where and when they're planned to be aired. I'd withhold judgement until the game is out, but censorship of trailers does give you a good hint on where to look for potential censorship.
>>962586 > she
>>962587 What's weird is why censor the blood when it's not in the Japanese version?
>>962327 >Hulkenberg's hips Good god almighty /v/ this elf will be waifu bait of 2024.
>>962587 >but censorship of trailers does give you a good hint on where to look for potential censorship. I'd be on high alert.
I hope this game runs well on PC.
>>962852 It will have denuvo
>>962854 Is it confirmed?
>>962862 It's a Sega game, anon. There has not been a single Sega PC release without denuvo.
>>962868 Unfortunate as this was one of the few games I looked forward to this year.
>>962671 Come October the fan art of her will be insane.

Some of you might find this interesting, I was talking to my Japanese friends and asked what they think of Metaphor. The answers might make some of you laugh or think we aren't too different after all. >Why did they even add a calendar system for a game like this? Just leave it to Persona as it leaves us unable to enjoy the game without feeling rushed! >Will Hashino and Team zero make us wait another 7 years for the real edition? >I'll buy it if it comes for the Switch 2 or even enter the PC platform since PS is not for Japanese anymore. >Happy this is a new series as the High school setting has gotten boring for Persona. >Soejima's strength is pop art style this transition to half fantasy to half pop is rather glaring for me. >Persona team without Hashino can only make re- releases and derivatives. >After Metaphor will Hashino join Kaneko at COLOPL? >Will the leg beards and transsexual men hate Hulkenberg for being shaped in a voluptuous manner? >The Reddit liberals will try and change the dialogue for the western version won't they? >Hopefully this title will be a higher difficulty then Persona 5 >They made romances limited to avoid homosexuals I bet! >The reason why romance is limited is due to the themes being more of a political campaign? >Perhaps the transsexual men will like the monsters called "Humans" out of a sense of reflection? >Balder's Gate 3 gave me high expectations for party dynamics the half way of Persona links with lighter romantic elements or inter party conflict might make me pass on this >Them limiting the romance to a smaller pool of the cast makes it more meaningful >Hashino needs to work magic as western RPGs like Balder's Gate 3 and Japanese dark fantasy RPGs like Elden Ring will put Atlus out of business >Imagine if they made PS only like Final Fantasy the Atlus would be eating only udon and 7-11 >Atlus makes their women look sexy where western games make their women look like some Kurdish woman with one brow.
>>963077 PlayStation really killed the decades old player base they held in Japan.
>>963080 Gaystation royally pissed off the Japanese by going full woke western soy, it helped Nintendo regain market share and made the PC market share go up considerably.
>>963082 Sony made a grave error pandering to sjw Californians.
>>963077 They seem convinced romance is in the game but limited to a smaller pool? Why do they think that? The passage that anon posted seemed to say there would be no romance period.
>>963098 There is some romantic elements to certain party members's links, but it won't be like in Persona and overall the game will focus more on rallying political support.
>>963077 >The Reddit liberals will try and change the dialogue for the western version won't they? Even the Japanese are becoming aware of how awful our localization is.
>>963108 So I don't get it, does this mean party members are romances and the whole quote was just about how the other NPCs you meet (the equivalent of non party member s-links I guess) wouldn't be? Because that's an entirely different vibe than what it was being framed as here and on social media initially. The Persona audience likely wouldn't be upset if it was limited to party members. Those are usually the ones people pick anyway.
>>963116 > does this mean party members are romances A select few will have romantic elements to their links, is what I'm being told.
>>963118 Well that's vague but honestly that makes the news seem a lot more like a nothingburger. Hulkenberg is a party member so that's really all I care about.
>>963119 What I've looked at and have asked Japanese guys I know, is that there isn't a total removal of the romance. Just it's not going to be like how it is in Persona and is limited in nature and to certain characters. How this diet system will work remains to be seen.
So is this game going to be more of a traditional CRPG with that Atlus flare or fantasy SMT/Persona?
>>964609 An in-between.
Currently in Japan and asked a few people at a game store how they feel about the game, there is a lot of hype and a lot of caution over it being a new IP.

Steam version has Denuvo, and there goes all my interest in the game. Also, apparently a "Katrina Leonoudakis" is the main one localizing the game? No clue who she is but apparently she's real shit at her job and heavy politicizes her translations. The Elf is cute but I am not paying this much for denuvo and a shit localization. >>977089 Why do they keep making Etrian Odyssey outfits? Even as a fan of that series it's really not that popular and the choices here make little sense outside of hero for the protag, but then why did they pick the shota hero outfit?
>>977090 >she that's a well-known tranny who takes pride in butchering translations.

Seeing a bunch of (((youtubers))) being given previews of this game. It's all over the timelines I see. Did any reliable people (preferably Japanese) play it? Can they clarify some of the questions in this thread?
>>1006820 I've seen nothing but westerns talk about it, but we did have one anon who played it at Anime Expo. He said it was similar to DeSu 2.

I think some Anons are going to be overly negative just to be so, about this game but I also warn about having over hyped expectations. We have another month before it comes out and so far it looks inoffensively average, nothing really positive or negative.
>>1006948 Even though Atlus's main focus is the niggercattle market, they know what it wants and gives it to them. Its a shame they can't do the same with people that actually enjoy vidya... Maybe we are to demanding?

My predictions: >game will be piss easy even on the hardest setting >story focused on way more than the gameplay >500 dollars worth of day 1 dlc including in-game items like elixirs >95% of the battles will be "hit the enemy's weakness to steamroll them >giant 4 hour textdumps and wandering around an empty area every day inbetween linear dungeons that put skyrim to shame >barely fleshed out villain and one of your party members works for him, betrays you to some extent but you allow them to join back up with you out of the kindness of your heart (the player gets no say) >none of the party members will be likeable and at best will have the depth of a puddle but still get tons of fan art >normalfags will buy it in droves regardless of quality >will get multiple GOTY awards or at least nominated

I'm, not the biggest fan of fatlus for a number of reasons, but there is definitely a push from both sjws and chuds, for a narrative of ragebait. The women in the game look attractive and lack the DEI features, conversations are being taken out of context, by both sides to fuel that this game is woke. Regardless, of my feelings of modern fatlus there is a noticeable narrative being spun, I'm edging on the side of caution of not taking any ragebait for now.

However, her pose animations are left intact. There's the possibility that there was executive intervention, but it's not like this can't be redressed with mods since the animations and rigs are still there. >>1025345 Niggerpill, so ignore him. You'll learn fast, rapefugee, assimilate if you don't want to be a pajeet. Anyways, I wanted to stop by and post this render analysis. TL;DR if Metaphor runs like shit on your system it's on the devs. https://archive.fo/neeYj https://vkguide.dev/docs/extra-chapter/graphics_analysis_metafor/ >Next we have a normal gbuffer of format RGBA16f, which is a considerable mistake, as its using a considerably overkill format for normals. Normally a gbuffer normal will encode as RGB 8-bit (no alpha), or RG 16 (2 channels). So the game using RGBA16f is using twice the memory than it needs to. >Now we begin with the deferred lighting. This seems to be bugged, as it first begins with drawing each light as a sphere, and setting the pixels that light covers into a stencil value. Once this is done for every light, it then draws the lights again, and their pixel shader applies the light to the pixels the sphere covers. >On here, that first pass is not used on the second, so this first pass setting the stencil values is completely useless. This is likely a bug on the developer side, and its going to cost us significant performance on the deferred lighting, which we will check later. >There is no culling for the lights, so every single pointlight on the scene will draw its sphere, even if its offscreen. >When rendering the text, it does 1 drawcall of a single quad per letter, which is suboptimal. A lot of the UI does this, and its quite a few draws in total. >Turns out, that the game does not do any sort of culling for its shadow casting. Even the small shadow cascade gets thrown every single object in the map at it. This is crazy, and its what results on the timeline we are seeing on RGP. The shadow cascades are being sent so many geometry, most of it off-screen, that the entire execution is completely bottlenecked on pure triangle processing in the vertex shaders. >With correct culling in here, the only shadow cascade that would be expensive to draw would be the far distance one, while the other 2 would be very cheap to draw. An estimate is that it would probably make the time for shadows to go from 12.5 miliseconds down to 4 miliseconds. Still expensive, but then it could also render the shadows at a lower resolution, as 3 2k resolution shadows is a bit on the expensive side. Even then, the biggest bottleneck is the raw amount of triangles thrown at the GPU for these shadows. >There is one issue, and is the gbuffers. The normals are stored in a 4 channel 16 bit per channel float texture, but normals do not require this. Most games store normals as rgb 8 bit, with then using the 4th alpha channel for something else. Alternatively, one can use a 2-channel 16 bit texture, but use octahedral encoding for those normals, halving the size required. When doing a gbuffer, the biggest performance bottleneck is always memory bandwidth due to the data you end up storing per pixel, so trying to find the most optimal way of encoding that data saves a lot of performance. >The deferred rendering here is broken, with it not doing the stencil part properly, and each light drawing a transparent sphere with depth testing disabled that will run the math on every single pixel inside it. This is probably the single worst possible way to implement deferred lights, and a simple bruteforce algorithm would significantly outperform it.

The second is an example of making a female belittle the PC for no reason when she did not in the original dialogue. Given the heavy political themes, I'm sure the average localizer would jump at the chance to twist the game to be in favor of their politics without it seeming out of place.
>>1026295 First example is still a pretty fucked-up localization for two reasons: >making the cold and authoritative but respectful recruiter into an angry sergeant drill moron >removing the word "reality", when it's apparently a main key concept of the game (hence why it is specifically highlighted), in favor of purple prose instead

>>1026301 Sounds like the translation is going to be fucked six ways to Sunday, and practically unplayable in English considering this is a story focused game with tricky political topics wherein changing one or two words is enough to totally ruin what is being said. It's on PC though, so with some luck, probably not much considering it's riding off of Persona's popularity, it'll get a much more accurate fan translation.
(9.70 KB 202x255 i do not comprehend.jpg)

After being so successful with their in-house translation of Persona 5, and all surveys receiving the translation positively, why does Fatlus appear to have decided to whore this game out to some shitty western localizers?
>>1026305 Don't you remember the shitload of smear pieces journos churned out over the translation?
>>1026309 Yes, and I believe it was those that prompted Atlus to make the survey.
>>1026295 The punched up writing sounds juvenile compared to the original script.

He's a champion of his own nation in that way and him valuing talent and skill over status is evil because... reasons? Because he's a military man I guess. >>1026304 >>1026305 As a general and safe rule, I treat all English translations in Japanese games with suspicion regardless they're new or relatively ancient. Not just because of the eventual malice (or whatever mental gymnastic they're going through in the thought process), I don't trust people hired as low-barrel workers to even be familiar with common Japanese grammar rules, let alone be proficient in their own native tongue. That being said, I do consider Unicorn Overlord to be straight up unplayable in English if we stick to Atlus as examples. "Localization” is not a strong word enough to describe what John Riesenbach and his company 8-4 has done to this game, they have rewritten the story script (which plays an essential part of the game) with a faux Shakesperian tone like complete amateurs who never read a single literature work.
>>1026290 >His policy of valuing skill and rationality over birth or circumstance has garnered tremendous support, especially among radical youths. What ESG hire wrote this shit?
Gonna play it tomorrow.
>>1026305 In-house translations are expensive. Or rather, good in-house translations are expensive. Even then an in-house translation doesn't guarantee quality. Just look at Cygames for examples of those being fucked with, though most of their fuckups are whedon-ifying things in translation. In reality I think the issue isn't so much as hiring bad translators as it is hiring people to intentionally localize things. Ideally you should be hiring straight-up translators in the first place and take as little creative liberty as possible, but this localization shit is ingrained in the industry and is going to take ages of complaints to change since a bad localization doesn't hurt the majority of sales (since most sales for games are off of pre-orders). A bad localization hurts a games word of mouth and damages sales over time or damages the reputation retroactively, which is something the bean counters struggle to notice.
‘Metaphor: ReFantazio’ Just Set A First Day Sales Record For Atlus https://www.forbes.com/sites/paultassi/2024/10/11/metaphor-refantazio-just-set-a-first-day-sales-record-for-atlus/ https://archive.vn/RDgVv >It’s a newfound Game of the Year contender, and has rocketed to become a massive hit for Atlus instantly. That would be Metaphor: ReFantazio, the new RPG from Atlus that now has set a record for the studio’s most sales in the shortest amount of time. >That’s one million copies sold on day one, beating out all previous Persona games, the hugely popular and well-loved series from Atlus. Previously, the old record was Persona 3 selling one million in five days. One key difference here, however, is a global release that had lots of regions launching at once, which no doubt contributed to this early total. >One additional factor here was a lengthy demo that Atlus put out for Metaphor that allowed players a taste of the game that hooked many, and caused them to purchase at launch. I’ve seen this credited by many people who picked up the game immediately when otherwise they may have skipped or at the very least, waited for a sale. >As for GOTY contention, Metaphor: ReFantazio has dropped just one single point since launch, its 94 down to a 93, meaning it is no longer tied with Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree or Astro Bot at 94. Not that it matters, of course. The three-way race between (non-expansion) games is likely to still be Astro Bot, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and now Metaphor. And with a million sales on day one, it’s looking like it’s going to be widely played enough for industry voters to give it a fair shot. >This is a tremendous achievement for Atlus, who has been routinely putting out fantastic Persona games, but now Metaphor has had a record-breaking surge for the studio and rocketed into newfound prominence. Whether it’s GOTY or ultimately just a finalist should not matter, and I would expect this could also set longer-term sales records for Atlus if positive word-of-mouth continues about the game. The game has debuted with “very positive” review scores on Steam and 56,000 concurrent players and climbing in the launch window here, with even more heading into the weekend. >It's great to see Atlus land a hit like this in what is turning out to be a crowded year of high-quality releases. Persona games almost always standout themselves, but it’s cool to see them do so with Metaphor: ReFantazio here as well.

>>1026325 That creature still has work, huh? Not surprised but I thought I heard something about her being fired. Probably just me having an optimistic schizo moment.
>>1026389 Includes shipped copies. The truth is: most people don't follow the online culture war. Which is why stuff like spider-man 2 and rpg from the makers of persona still sell well. Look at how long it took for star wars to fail. At least we know from concord that woke games that don't sell well if there's no pre-established trust. But we might see some existing properties go woke and still sell, for a few entries in the franchise. As we saw with star wars, it can take a long time from going woke to going broke, but it will happen eventually.
>>1026398 Even then, 51k isn't that impressive compared to other games this year. GBF Relink was hitting 60-70kish during NA daytime and hit 130k peaks during JP daytime. And that game didn't have to have shitty DRM to scare off "muh evil pirates" either. Not to even mention shit like Dragon's Dogma 2 hitting 200k peak (as garbage as it was), all steam numbers of course. Single player RPGs also rely on good word of mouth for continued success too, which the jury is out on for now. Could be a Tales of Arise situation where the normalfaggots eat it up and the game is remembered as a disgrace amongst actual JRPG fans. The "includes shipped copies" thing is strange though because in spite of Relink having higher numbers the devs never bragged about sold copies until 2 weeks after launch, guess they were going by actual sales and only bragged when they really hit that 2mil mark. Different studios do it differently I guess. With the number coming out this soon it has to include shipped copies.

>>1026290 I tried to find the Japanese version of this image, to see how different the original text is to this translation. It seems like that specific image was used in some sort of social media promotion by Atlus, so I don't think there is an English version. However, there is a character profile for Louis on the official Metaphor ReFantazsio Japanese site. I took the text and threw it into DeepL I don't know Japanese to see what it says and if there are significant differences. >"He is a Kremer officer who has been called one of the most outstanding figures in the royal army and has joined the ranks of the royal princes at an unusually young age. He possesses extraordinary skills as a warrior and a mage, but what is even more highly regarded is his superior wits as a military strategist and his ability to control the hearts and minds of the people. He places great importance on rationality, and he has a policy of appointing his subordinates based solely on merit, without regard to race or origin. For this reason, he is sometimes accused of being subversive of tradition by senior officials." Archive of the character page is here: https://archive.is/r74LV The text is similar enough that it is clear this English promotional image is based on this Japanese description. However, the original Japanese is more even-handed, saying that he is often accused of being subversive but also highlighting how he doesn't discriminate based on origin or race. The English version paints him in a clearly negative light, throwing in words like "meritocracy" and "radical youths" that have a negative reputation among certain groups nowadays. He is also described as an opponent to "the moderate Forden", which technically makes him an extremist without them ever using the word directly. This is yet more proof that the translators are not being faithful to the actual vision and content of Metaphor: ReFantazio and have instead elected to insert their own bias into the game.
>>1026409 So, he's still being villainized for supporting meritocracy, which the protagonists are opposed to. The JP version just doesn't call him a radical for it.
>>1026411 Tbh is pretty common theme being against meritocracy can't remember how many times i've had to go through some bullshit "we are all equals" or whatever
>>1026409 >>1026411 As someone who played the demo, he's being villainized because he killed the king, attempted to kill and successfully cursed the prince and left the second party member's village to die to make a point.
>>1026414 Which JRPG villainized meritocracy as evil while interpreting equality of outcome as good? There's Triangle Strategy, but even in that game, both Aesfrost (liberty?) and Hyzante (equity/communism) are villainized.
>>1026418 Sounds like extremist meritocracy where those who are not hyper competent don't deserve to live. Basically, he's trying to force the ending of Atlas Shrugged, wherein all the bad useless people die when society ceases to function because all the super competent people fucked off to make a utopia. Of course, in Atlas Shrugged, the protagonist's assistant is left behind to die with everyone else despite being a fairly competent and entirely morally upright person, because he's not enough of a superman. This is to represent the innocent human sacrifice that would be required to achieve such a "meritocratic and individualist" utopia. I guess all the innocent children left in the dying society that aren't much spoken of wouldn't have made that point emotionally enough. It isn't hard to write a decent story about a villain like this, but the issue lies in how the hero's beliefs clash with it. Persona 5's themes of rebellion were fucking terrible and did not fit at all with the actions of the heroes. I don't trust modern Fatlus not to fuck this up similarly when it's supposed to be largely the same dev team.
>>1026409 *so I don't think there is an Japanese version. >>1026411 >>1026418 I haven't played the demo personally, but this is what I was wondering about. Is Louis really being villainized because he believes in meritocracy? Or is it because of his violent/abhorrent actions? From what we know about the game, it seems to be the latter. Making him a believer in meritocracy and structured military might is just a way to make him contrast with the ragtag band of merry heroes the player controls, who are smaller in number and not as structured. >meritocracy, which the protagonists are opposed to Furthermore, are the protagonists truly opposed to meritocracy itself as a concept? Or are they against the current dominant power, which just so happens to be a meritocracy? Poking around the Japanese official site some more, the Protagonist of the game is a member of a smaller tribe that is viewed as dangerous and discriminated against because they are believed to practice a magic that is against the state's religion. If he had a bone to pick with Louis and the kingdom, it would be because of that, not because Louis believes in meritocracy. In fact, theoretically, Louis would hire a member of the Protag's tribe if he/she was capable enough, tribal origin notwithstanding.
Why does niggerpill reuse ythe same image all the time
>>1026431 Please understand, he has very little material to work with. Remember when Xenoblade 3 was about to come out, and he was screaming how it will be extremely "woke" and that it's the end of Japan? The game got released, it wasn't woke at all, and he was very quiet for a week or two. Plus you gotta slide good quality posts like >>1026427 and >>1026428
>>1026428 Seen some people who played further into the game saying the main party is opposed to the meritocratic ideas of Louis. The party supporting equality of outcome and other commie bullshit. Could be people exaggerating though, either that or the translation is just that shit, but I am not going to give the benefit of doubt to a game with a literal "tolerance" stat with the stupid "diversity" circle of hands as a representation of such.
>>1026443 Do we know if those stats are translated correctly?
>>1026439 Don't suck my dick. That's gay.
>>1026443 When it comes down to it, the Japanese version could be that bad, it's just difficult to tell with how new the game is. What I'm really trying to figure out is how much of the radical socialist/communist content comes from the localized version, and if any is actually present in the original game. After the game's been out for a week or so, we'll likely see more evidence come up that points one way or another. >a game with a literal "tolerance" stat Looking into it a bit and not finding much in terms of Japanese gameplay or trailers that showed off the social stats, I had to resort to using the wiki. According to their research, the name used in the Japanese version for the "Tolerance" stat is 包容力 (Houyouryoku) which means tolerance. So it is a direct translation. https://archive.is/aiuxh https://archive.is/aiuxh#selection-9753.0-9761.11 >the stupid "diversity" circle of hands as a representation of such An anon in the GamerGate thread mentioned this (>>1024845). He said that in context, Heismay is saying that a world where everyone gets along perfectly and is totally equal is just not possible. The society that the circle of hands represents is just a fantasy. Again, I haven't played the demo or anything myself so I cannot confirm or deny that this is true.
Louis is being opposed because he's a genuine asshole who while meritocratic still does villainous things.
>>1026305 Metaphor is made by a separate team at FATLUS. The twist may be that he practices meritocracy so he can appoint sycophants, rather than having a diverse leadership with a variety of ideals which would buff out anything that could hurt the public, including racial and magical minorities. Still, it's pretty clear from this description that the villain is meant to be an evil meritocrat. They even made him look like Lucifer from SMT. See the supervillain from the manga Platinum Game for an example of this type of character. It looks like Metaphor could be a piece of pro-democracy anti-Imperial media localized into a pro-diversity anti-intolerance game.
>>1026506 >It looks like Metaphor could be a piece of pro-democracy anti-Imperial media localized into a pro-diversity anti-intolerance game. Sounds like a modern English dub of Legend of the Galactic Heroes.
>>1026507 LotGH is Imperial-leaning, but not feudal-leaning. Reinhard is consistently shown as right, and the only issues with his empire came from him trusting Oberstein and dying young, which the former caused. The democracy that is allowed to exist, Ba‘alat, is only so because Reinhard followed an Imperial idea of respect, and it is subservient to the Empire. Yang's situation and ideology in the FPA compared to Reinhard's in the Empire is an argument against democracy. Yang even admits that his values were born of circumstance, saying he would serve Reinhard if he had been born in the Empire.

You even see this in western stuff, there was for a while this major push to say the player character from the popular VN Slay The Princess had no gender. Not that I think this game would be the one to do it, since Atlus/Persona are mad popular and they've been shilling this game for over half a decade now, so it makes sense to succeed, but I've started to wonder something lately. If some freakishly rich activist types, like the ones responsible for all the ultra-progressive consulting firms, ESG investing, all that shit, were to realize that sales numbers were the most important metric to the business owners they're trying to appeal to, would there be any reason why they couldn't, or wouldn't just buy a shitton of copies of things they want to succeed, to push the narrative that their ideals bring money? Of course you can't really do that with physical copies, cause those are limited by supply and mass-buying them would be hard to sneak, but they could theoretically buy as many digital copies as they want. And they've made it more than clear it's not about profit to them, but changing the world to their ideal by whatever means necessary. Feel free to call me a retard if this makes no sense, cause I'd like to be dead wrong, cause raw sales-numbers would be very hard to fight against. It sounds like insane cope to even suggest it's being "faked".

>>1026808 That's advertising. That's all that parades are--big advertisements for sponsors and local bars.
So, what did it peak at on steam? 76k players? Don't see a reason for it to climb higher since it already hit the JP weekend night peak. I expected higher numbers honestly, as most other big JP releases this year broke 100k on steam easily. Wonder how much not having a switch release hurt this game in particular since that system is popular for RPGs. Poor word of mouth doesn't seem to be doing the game that many favors in the West from what I can see, as well, but I have no idea how it's being received in Japan right now.
>>1026836 But they would have had at least 5k if not more players if the game had proper romance.
>>1026840 It doesn't have romance?
>>1026847 lol no, I knew it wouldn't from the first trailer
>>1026847 Not in the Persona sense, no. Nor does it have romance as a prominent theme with pre-set relationships like some stories. There are hints of it like most fantasy stories, but the main focus is the general camaraderie between the party members in the typical JRPG kind of way. At least from what I've seen in reviews.
>>1026836 I think higher ups at SEGA likely would want at least the same numbers that Granblue Relink had, the game peaked at 117k
>>1026847 Junah and Eupha are pretty obviously into the MC. Gallica might be too. But there is no romance ending to s-links which honestly just seems odd. Definitely feels like something that was in and some point and then cut.
>>1026873 I got impression so far they made a game and at some point someone went and started tellign them to redo/remove stuff
>>1026875 There's even kind of a festival date that you can take any party member to, though it's more flirty for Junah and Eupha. Again, it just feels like the typical persona stuff was gonna be in there and then they just kinda removed it when some western person looked in.
>>1026847 It's pretty limited but don't be shocked if they cave, and add it full on in an update or re-release.
>>1026888 >It's pretty limited but don't be shocked if they cave it will be a good indicator to if the game is a success if they are unhappy with sales they will probably add it in the updated edition they always make a few years later.
>>1026889 The game is a success so far but, I fully expect Japanese gamers to hard push for full on romantic relations in the future.
>>1026889 What are you talking about? Updated versions are usually for games that already succeeded. If it didn't succeed the first time, an updated version won't save it.
>>1026881 They could be even more scummy and add an DLC to confirm romance by restoring content that was removed
>>1026897 Let's make a friendly bet that this or an P5 Royal style re release will make it happen.

All this talk of removed content has me confused. If there's a way to bring back Hulkenberg's toned ass I'm all for it, but I despise the expectation of romance ever since Purseowner got retooled and I'm glad the sociopolitical themes are back from SMT. So much of Refantazio makes sense if you've played a single SMT title. >Louis is just another Louis Cypher character like Louisa Ferre from Strange Journey >muh equality in this universe stems from the world considering our contemporary present an utopia in an in-game novel much like we idealize the Middle Ages, basically while it's aspirational racial equality is akin to a fairy tale, Louis's meritocratic principles are a manifestation of the Chaos alignment, that's as far as I get to spoiling the game >Sanctism likewise is a stand-in for Law (muh religion and faith)
>>1026897 Sega cut a bunch of the dateable girlfriends out of Lost Judgement and sold them as DLC. Atlus is owned by Sega. Of course, I feel like they would have been sold at launch if they were planning that.
>>1026907 > If there's a way to bring back Hulkenberg's toned ass I'm all for it It would have to be made from scratch as what was found in the demo files was simply a picture. >the expectation of romance ever since Purseowner got retooled This game was made by team zero. They literally made Persona 3-5. They've been working on this game since they finished P5 vanilla (P5 Royal and the upcoming P6 are a different team). Expecting romance was perfectly warranted given this is the team that brought it into the mega-ten series in the first place and the game resembles Persona in basically every other regard.
>>1026907 >there's a way to bring back Hulkenberg's toned ass Did anyone actually prove it other then "trust me bro"? Because that anon didn't deliver.

>>1026927 So let me get this straight: you think it's far more likely that an anon is so good at photoshop that he fooled another anon familiar with the game's files and general game design into thinking something is legit for the sole purpose of tricking two anons on h8chan rather than he just found something legitimately taken from the game's files second-hand and was not technically savvy enough to parse the game's files himself?
>>1026938 It's not hard, and anons are not generally arguing he made the image himself. Lots of people thought pic related was a real game mod at a glance until looking closer, and this has zero polish.
>>1026938 I'm saying that the image originally posted possibly was shopped and he might've been fooled. Also linking to some site that doesn't actually show the picture doesn't prove his case. He was asked to provide proof and time again he cannot provide any. So rightfully must conclude that he's either misled or making shit up.

We are at a point it time where it is simply better (or more realistic) to assume they're all just full of shit and lacking in any form of honesty or sincereity and that their ties or connections to other malicious idiots will impact or influence their actions, and as such to just presume idiocy or malice on their part whenever anything is done (or attempted) making it their responsibility for them to have to repeatedly prove to us that they are not doing any sort of retarded or underhanded shit ever(because trying to hope for the best at this point in time means getting fucked over 9 times out of 10)

>>1026871 Granblue Relink actually peaked higher than that at either just short of 130k, IIRC. I remember because I was checking the numbers live since I was actually playing the damn thing and was very impressed by just how popular the game was for what was a gacha tie-in game (albeit a well made one). Steamcharts compresses numbers over time which makes it a bit annoying for searching early peaks like that, though if you're lucky someone might've archived the page for access through the way back machine so you could get accurate numbers that way. Regardless, Fatlus getting outdone despite having personanigger backing like that does put a smile on my face. Relink also didn't have a shitty DRM bogging it down but the execs at SEGA are either too stupid to realize Denuvo is only hurting profits, or are never going to care about that. >>1026895 Anon, the game most likely made a profit. Atlus would have no reason to not milk the IP like that if other games are taking too long to get out. Now, whether it actually met internal sales expectations, that we will probably never know. The rest of the internet at large believes the image to be genuine so...where's the rug pull? Are they waiting for two anons here in this obscure corner of the internet to fall for it because that's when it would really matter?
>>1027281 >If it's fake it's professional grade Why? You could easily edit just the ass with AI these days. >The only reason to fake it would be to get people to fall for it What about someone who just wanted to give Hulkenberg more ass because they like her?
>>1027285 >Why? You could easily edit just the ass with AI these days. It's not just the ass, anon. It's the entire image. Faking shitty beta that looks authentic is not easy. >What about someone who just wanted to give Hulkenberg more ass because they like her? But what about the shitty beta model quality of the two other party members? The obviously old and unfinished jackets? The only explanation where fake makes sense is that they absolutely did find a beta screenshot in the files and then edited the ass specifically after the fact which, again, why? Just because they could? Is that really more likely than her model being changed mid-development? And I would add it looks incredibly seamless. Even for that ai that looks amazingly authentic. That's a ton of effort for basically no reason.
>>1027289 > Faking shitty beta that looks authentic is not easy. <Take screen cap from some early footage <Add ass
Localisation aside I've been having fun, but I feel the game was rushed in many aspects. I feel much of the not social links were toned down or cut, some of the not social links are definitely straight up romantic but got cut. In general I feel this game was cut due to dev hell, Sega must've wanted this out the door. >>1027266 >>1027292 At this point he's just trying to shit the thread up.
>>1027292 >Take screen cap from some early footage That's the thing anon, there IS no early footage. I've looked. That's the first thing I searched for because that's what I assumed it was from. But no, the earliest actual shots of the game were from the reveal well after when these would have been from. Before that it's all just concept art. If this is fake, it would have had to been made completely from scratch and, yeah, that would be insanely high tier photoshop work for something with no point. >>1027293 >At this point he's just trying to shit the thread up. Anon when I posted that picture I expected like two responses going "wow that sucks I wish she still had her ass" and that was it. I'm not exactly sure why you two thought it was some machiavellian plot to trick you specifically but here we are. Everyone on this site knows western devs fuck with Japanese ones all the time. I'm not sure why you're so resistant to the idea that happened here given the stuff already found in the localization but whatever. If you still don't want to believe it that's on you.
>>1027301 >it would have had to been made completely from scratch and, yeah, that would be insanely high tier photoshop work for something with no point. If it's real in part or in whole, that means that it existed somewhere people could save and repost it, which means it could then be edited. Either scenario requires finding the original source to prove which is true.
Isn't this game out now? Can't someone play or youtube it to check the flatness of the ass?
>>1027395 The anon's claim is from a "beta image" Hulkenberg had a bubble butt that was nerfed, (I wish her ass was rounder in the game). Everyone here asked the source of the image and he can't provide it, so we're just going to assume it's fake.
>>1027400 >We I told you the source. It's in the demo game files. That's where everyone claims it's from. I have no idea how to search game files. I tried and all I got was more confusion and stuff I didn't know how to look through. Getting you the actual source requires technical knowledge I don't possess. All I can do is point out how incredibly authentic the image looks and how incredibly far-fetched your guys' explanations for how it could be fake are. >>1027395 Yes, her ass is flat. Extremely. >>1027403 Yes, anon, but frankly the picture is too fucking good to be dismissed out of hand. The scenarios you and the other anons arguing against the validity of this picture put forward are far more outlandish than the simple occam's razor explanation of it being real.

>>1027404 >Yes, anon, but frankly the picture is too fucking good to be dismissed out of hand. In an age of AI and expert Photoshop/Affinity Photo wizards any random asshole, can make an image look real. Why are you trying so hard to push this? There are logical reasons to nail this game with, but you choose the dumbest arguments.
>>1027404 To be fair, everything is fake and gay on the internet, a picture on its own isn't the best proof, especially with people trying to outrage bait and engagement farm these days. A good pic is better than nothing, but without something accompanying it it's a bit threadbare. Doesn't mean what you're saying is untrue mind you. I remember Fire Emblem Engage leaks being dismissed because of how shitty the pics looked and the chink text onscreen, but it turned out to be real. I personally err on the side of it being fucked with by Fatlus given how many companies are doing this kind of fag shit to their games. I hold no major game companies in a position of good faith anymore.
>>1027408 Do I personally believe this game had cuts and other shady shit behind closed doors? Yes, but I'm also not going to believe in every single thing, especially when said thing is an image of unclear origin.
>>1026775 The anime heavily implies that Kircheis's death by following Oberstein's advice is what triggered Reinhard's death. Having to push himself to his limit at all times and experiencing major stressors because of Kircheis's death and Oberstein's fucking around, his body burnt itself up. In real life, Alexander the Great despaired the death of Hephastion until the day he died of a mysterious illness.
>>1027400 Guess it's "what's more probable," "butt nerf" or "namefag photoshops for retweets."

So why go halfway with the romance? Atlus should've fully removed or fully implemented it. Instead you have this weird inbetween that pleases nobody.

Y'know, things like the censor spats replacing obvious panties in an original design, covering of breast windows, lazily done leggings, etc. Hulkenberg being that fucking scrawny does make sense though, typical elf depictions and all that as far as Atlus is concerned.
