Namco Bandai Summer Showcase (July 5th) and any other Pre-Gamescom Announcement Streams Anonymous 07/01/2024 (Mon) 23:47:07 Id: 91be71 No. 985338
Since these events just keep coming and the Summer of Love thread is bump limited, I'm making a new thread for any random events that come up before August 21st (as GamesCom will have enough that it will need its own thread). Namco Bandai Summer Showcase Namco Bandai is doing a reveal stream on July 5th at 5:30 PM PDT (8:30 PM eastern, 12:30 AM GMT). They've been largely absent from all the previous stuff this year. They'll likely have beyond new footage for Sparking! ZERO, Gundam Breaker 4 (which releases at end of August and has a Japanese developer stream a few days earlier) and the new Shit Art Online game since those are at its concurrent Anime Expo booth. We know there's another Digimon game (last game released 2 years ago but another confirmed in development before even it came out), Ace Combat 7 (leaked by a VA), and some God Eater/Code Vein thing in the works but not yet announced. NB also has lots of eternal franchises that have been dormant for years likes Tales of (4 years since last release, year since big DLC expansion), and Super Robot Wars (3 years since last). Synduality hasn't been heard from since the network test. Also possible is any Armored Core DLC/standalone expansion since they'd be publishing it. Maybe we'll see them milk Aty some more and port Summon Night 3 ported to modern systems with an English translation that isn't cancer. https://www.bandainamcoent.com/news/bandai-namco-anime-expo-2024 https://archive.ph/wip/8shiW
https://showcase.thqnordic.com/ THQ Nordic Showcase August 02, 2024, Live at 12:00 pm (PDT), 3:00 pm (EDT), 21:00 (CEST), 22:00 (MSK). No idea what will be there.
>>985540 >Hello. We have announced we sold all our IPs to Microsoft-Activision-Blizzard-King. We will be publicly executing all our employees on July 3rd, 12AM GMT.
>>985542 They already have a GamesCom presentation announced with two new announcements confirmed.
>>985338 Huh shit, is it time already?
Mods should probably edit the title so it's less confusing, especially other shows are live. >>985551 E(TERNAL)3
I hope Tales of stays dead. Fuck Arise and what it did to the series, any future title is just going to be derived from that trash fire so it'll be missing all the shit that made Tales what it was and just be some piece of shit skinwalker game wearing the franchise as a skinsuit.
>>985570 What would you want the mods to edit it to?
>>985600 Whatever show is live at the time.

>>985622 Didn't realize AnimeExpo had that much attached to it. Arksys, WayForward, Type-Moon, Spike Chunsoft, and Arc System Works seem like the ones that could have new games revealed (beyond just a potential next game in series for the single franchise focused ones).
3 hours till Namco Bandai thing starts. >>985622 Arksys panel happened already. Was nothing of importance revealed?
Sekai Project starts in an hour. Doubt anything good will be there. >>986373 *1 hour and a day

>>985338 How long till? Reposting because I dropped a layer. FUCK.
>>986652 4 and a half hours till Aksys, don't know where it will be streamed. Sekai Project already happened, but can't find any announcements or a stream of it.
>>986373 I don't think so, but I do see that Ys got a release date of October 25th.
Arksys panel isn't uploaded, but Arksys does have the reveals on their YouTube channel (with descriptions, titles, and trailers that disagree on systems. Possibly copy-paste error). >7'scarlet (Switch) <Take on the role of a young woman journeying to the remote town of Okune-zato to locate her missing brother. >>986793 I hope they got better since the BlazBlue days, because god their localizations were dogshit
>>986814 MTL is more reliable than localizations nowadays
Can't find Gundam event, but the Silver Phantom trailer dropped on Gundam Info. https://redirect.invidious.io/watch?v=RmBs8rHkcQc >human models look super dated >appears to be glorified Dragon's Lair >not even calling it a game, it's a "VR Film" >refers to "a Gundam" in OYW >some really bad English VA This girl looks moderately cute at least. I'm sure people will make porn of her eventually.
I wasn't here to cover the Namco Bandai event, and uh... We didn't miss anything. Not even stuff you don't care about, but literally just trailers for stuff already announced with the only actual new announcements being a Bleach game, and a Pac-Man level+decals in Gundam Breaker 4. I don't care for Bleach so no comment on that. While the Pac-Man level is cute, it's that that neat and feels like something that should have been something fun to discover in game instead of spoiled in a trailer. The fat western woman they had hosting also had a hot mic mocking Digimon fans. It wasn't the worst it could be, but very low quality presenters.
>>986793 >Blazing Strike I backed this guy's patreon for a long time and got a GigaMaidens cameo in the game. Nice that it's finally coming out.

This flew under the radar but Heaven Burns Red is heading West. It's pretty notable in the gachasphere as Jun Maeda and Key are working on it but it also probably escaped notice because it's a gacha, albeit a heavily story-focused narrative one. I'm not sure if Jun Maeda was the VN writer who wrote that spiel of imagining himself as an OL interested in other women. It'd be a hoot if it gets a trannylation to boot.
Type Moon panel starts in 21 mins, but cant' find livestream. Given its primarily about the gacha, I think we can just wait till after it ends for any trailers for the Extra remake
>>986881 Sadly its yuri stuff

>>987099 >it's yuri Tell us more!

>>986869 What a miserable whore to mock the fans like that We want to pay the company real hard earned legal tender for a remaster of DW1, and they mock us. They don't even need to make a new plot or anything, just polish the damn thing, port it proper, and SELL IT TO US.
THQ Nordic now has countdown to their showcase. https://showcase.thqnordic.com/ Fate/Extra remake's bi-annual proof of life event is on the 4th.
>>986831 >VR Film That would be a mildly neat idea. Basically a first person view from the perspective of a character that you could look around at things as the movie went on. Now that said, this looks like dog shit, and seems like a really low effort production. >>986869 >The fat western woman they had hosting also had a hot mic mocking Digimon fans What a cunt. How hard is it to not be an asshole to your target audience for one show.
>>995948 I'll probably make a separate thread for THQNordic since this OP only has the Anime Expo stuff
