y-you guys are not leaving right? I like this place better... 4chan is still just as shit...
>>24730 /v/ is my main board without question. The other boards I go to are flavor and I have other places to go for those except for /sp/ (which was arguably the best board on the site anyway). 8moe is better for vidya in every way other than comparable board activity. Which, when you think about it, if you remove the bait and shitters, you'd probably end up with 8moe activity anyway. Like I said, 4chan has its place and I'm not leaving it completely, but there are so many things 8moe has over it that it that I prefer it makes no sense for me to stay away from here.
>>22835 I don't wanna leave, cuckchan has too many shills and bad faith trolls. Anons here some more honest about what they believe in without hiding behind 15 layers of irony. Also, Darkness >>>>> Aqua.
>>22835 No idea why people even want to go back to 4chan now that its determined to be a government spy chamber. Not only that but the tranny jannies still don't enforce the rules unless its against someone they don't like.
>>23109 explain /pol/
>>23238 *all 3
>>23242 So the site crashing into oblivion literally had no impact on the shitposting spree? I always wonder why in the hell people go there just to throw their garbage then ignore all the interesting threads
>>23312 yea this sites better in a lot of ways I wonder when 4chan will fully upgrade
>>24312 There could be a happy compromise. Boards like /b/ /pol/ /v/ are too fast to the point of being unusable. imo the perfect size is around /a/ /co/ and /tv/ regardless of what you think about the quality of those boards.
>>24683 Most boards shouldn't actually have ids though. So jokes only work if people think you're serious and if you have ids people basically know you're a human joking around rather than some amorphous post saying something absurd.
>>24723 What place even had the traffic before the takedown? there was old 8chan but after that it was a drought outside of 4chan.
>>24797 the endless negativity of /pol/ is exhausting and something I don't want to see more of. sometimes I just wanna talk about things that make me happy, you know? I'd qualify the statement to something like <Boards built on hate tend to be unhealthy.
>>24885 4/v/ is the same way. Unless you're talking about a niche game or something that's already been looped into "/v/core", the default reaction to something new is to always be negative. "shill", "soulless", "slop", etc. They've developed a culture of "earnestly liking things is cringe", so you have to hide your opinion behind layers of irony which sucks.
>>24885 >>24891 Doomerism/negativity is popular because it removes agency. You can just blame all your problems on external forces like wokism in games or the jews or whatever, and then you cna feel good about not lifting a finger yourself to fix your life or find a good game to play. That's not to say those external forces don't exist or aren't problems, but they aren't nearly as omnipresent as people think and hyperfocusing on them just makes them seem like they are.
>>24807 Krautchan/kohlchan got a fair bit of traffic, but you're right 8chan and the webring were dead as fuck until a week ago.
I still check 4kek sometimes for my regular threads, but now make my posts here as much as I can. Lack of 4chanX's functionality and shaky site stability as >>22891 mentioned are bothersome, but not dealbreakers so long as they're being considered.
>>24906 Honest question, why do people like 4chanX so much? I've been using the default board software for decades and never had an issue with posting. Even posting from a cell phone is pretty painless most of the time. Shaky site stability is a fair point. I still remember how fucked up old 8chan was though and this is nothing compared to >flood detected post discarded
>>24908 for me it was the advanced filtering tools, the high-quality thread watcher, and the great inline-replies implementation. I didn't use anything but those 3 features but they made lurking much better, which is all I ever really did there
>>24908 Inline replies make following a conversation much easier Thread watcher, catalog, quick reply, and filters are all much better than the native implementations Desktop notifications for (You)s Auto-refresh on by default Custom CSS, top bar, and board titles
>>24908 Of what others mentioned I also miss highlighting threads in filters so that they're pinned to the top of the index/catalog
>>24908 High quality thread watcher, a quick and responsive gallery view, hiding threads on the catalog with one click. Once you get used to it, it's difficult to go back. >>24912 I turned inlining off. Is it really that good?
>>24949 I was including that in "advanced filtering tools" but yeah I should've brought it up explicitly. highlighting surfaces threads I'm confident I'll be interested in, and hiding removes threads I'm confident I won't. they work great as a pair
>>24891 Honestly this isn't really true. Even in the midst of all it I remember everyone being excited for games like elden ring, unicorn overlord, granblue relink, stellar blade, tears of the kingdom and so forth. Honestly anything that panders to gamers is well liked there.
>>24959 Half these games are shit though.
>>24949 wasn't that part of the default 4chan functionality though? I never used 4chanX but definitely remember being able to highlight threads with filters
Yeah, looks like it is. I never noticed as I'd only used filtering through the extension.
>>24964 4chanX used regex, which is a lot more powerful than just a list of words
(267.22 KB 2165x2042 1742346505672761.png)

>>24891 Sometimes they are shills for soulless AAA trash, sometimes they aren't. Does it matter when everyone with chimpanzee or above level's of intelligence knows that most of the site is bots and third-worlders?
>>24891 shrinking tits in video games is never okay
>>25005 But that's my fetish!
>>25005 it is if you also shrink height and increase head size
>>22835 make loading shit not take 5 minutes and i'll stay, already know of a few threads in other altchans and 4cuck jannies have explicitly said they hate their userbase, i ain't going back to talk with those faggots, lurk a few boards at best.
>>25066 Seems pretty alright now, I think dev mentioned offloading CDN to a non CF/G provider of some kind. I can actually load videos for starters
>>25074 yeah it's a lot better than it was last week for me
>>25007 only if it is done in such a way that it looks like the boobs are getting bigger in proportion to the rest of her body.
>>25074 loading videos with more than 2MB still takes a considerable amount of time for me.
