It's cruel, harrowing and gross while punctuating the finality of the death. If you've ever seen lines like "all that's left of you is slurry/soup/gutslop/whatever", or there being some mention of the remains of what used to be a person passing through intestines- feces for a lot of people is the logical conclusion to finding that kind of imagery appealing. They go from person to unprocessed meat, that meat is pumped through a preds guts, deposited as fat on assets or wherever else, then the rest of the now useless prey is excreted, it's literally adding insult to injury in a way that extends the perceived relevance of the prey far past the point when they'd already been killed.
