Roman doesn't really benefit at all from winning. He'll be gone until the summer again anyway so there can be no follow up. Punk wins and goes back with Heyman for a nostalgia run would be fine but they have to deal with the face/heel issue. Seth winning is way more interesting, especially if Heyman joins up with him. Honestly the match only works and it barely does, because of Seth. There is way more intrigue with Seth going heel, joining with Heyman, possibly with Rock too.

CM Punk turns heel and wins after Heyman brings back Brock Lesnar to assist him for his favor. The next night CM Punk, having sold his soul to be in both main events, interferes to help Cena win the title against Cody. This prompts a new storyline where the betrayed Seth and Roman to join forces with Cody in a new shield faction to stand against the sell out ruthless aggression stars who refuse to pass the torch.

There is no title or stipulation for this match and it being a triple threat means you're only going to beat one of the other two so this whole match feels completely meaningless. It main eventing Night 1 just for the sake of it is laughable.
