Vampire rule!
IMPROMPTU WATCHALONG #9 STARTING IN 60 MINUTES Today's menu includes The Profession of Arms (2001) and The Merchant of Venice (2004). The first movie is about War of the League of Cognac, a 16th century conflict between the Habsburgs and in this case Italian states, while the second one is an adaptation of one of Shakespeare's classics. https://cytu.be/r/inside_the_suitcase Hope to see you there!

>>846020 Stay away from cannons timekeepers
>>846020 A film that's 100% on topic with the actual theme of the event, and I personally recommend y'all to watch: "The Name of the Rose".
>>856201 >y'all I thought that it's somewhere in France, but it does in fact take place in Italy. It's a good movie and also a good book, I guess we'll watch that next week. For this one, well, let's say that we're packing something *very* special. Also happy birthday to the vampire!
This patch is a good example of why catching up is a bad idea AND why long patches are a bad idea too.

>>862792 Honestly they really dropped the ball on this one. Like unless you're a newkeeper, you have diddly squat to do with the patch.
>>862837 The new "mode" today was a real kick in the teeth
>>863827 I was so disinterested about the entire thing that I didn't even notice it was already up until you said so.
>>864199 Well, it didn't have a red square notification to start with. This is probably the buggiest patch John has put out. But I don't mind the long patch, euphorias are so time consuming to farm
What's the worst is that after the disappointment with the AC2 section I have negative will to even try the Odyssey part. At least I have enough time to grind PA...
IMPROMPTU WATCHALONG #10 ALERT It's already been ten and for this occasion we're preparing something special. >FLESH AND BLOOD (1985) The connection to Italy is small, because it's just supposed to be taking place *somewhere* there and the characters have Italian names. The movie's dialogues are in English. That's it. The setting seriously doesn't matter, it's about vague mercenaries and their excuse for violence. Absolutely hated by critics? 6 results for "rape" on the wikipedia page? INSANE Box Office bomb? Sounds great, right? Now imagine that it was directed by Paul Verhoeven. Yes, THAT Paul Verhoeven, the one behind Robocop and Starship Troopers. What's his definition of " erotic historical adventure"? Only one way to find out! >FOR LOVE AND GOLD/L'ARMATA BRANCALEONE (1966) A comedy trying to make fun of the medieval period in general. An Italian knight who isn't the sharpest tool in shed leads a group of bandits on a quest to get a wealthy fief and its riches. Many bizarre adventures await them. The film was successful enough to get a sequel and has fairly good reviews, definitely better than Flesh and Blood! This doesn't have to mean that it's good, however! For the next week we'll try to get something related to ancient Greece, and given that Kassandra is Spartan and is directly related to Leonidas, this MAY mean 300. Other more obvious titles include Troy, Clash of the Titans or one of the many movies about Alexander the Great. Of course, if you have other suggestions, we're always open. With about 22 hours left you'll get another notice closer to the screening, see you on our CyTube channel! Check the rentry in the OP for the link.
We're starting! The community's choice was L'Armata Brancaleone. https://cytu.be/r/inside_the_suitcase
Oh nyo
>>886691 Why is it bad? I don't get it
>>886699 Random af collabs? AC kind of makes sense but some of the options here are way out there
>>886691 It was inevitable, so at least I can vote for the things that I like. >>886699 Are you really not questioning why would CGDCT idol/band franchises even want to collab with R1999?
>>886691 My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined
(54.25 KB 1435x535 survey.png)

So, uh, anyway, I guess it's inevitable at this point so here are my votes for you to judge me or point out my shit taste. I crossed out Harry Potter and Doctor Who because they'd 100% push the bad parts, I also didn't check Bandori and GBC because although I love the girls and the music I just don't see a reason why they'd collab with R1999. I wanted it to be somewhat fitting, so even if I'm not the biggest fan of Steins Gate, I think it would land well. BSD is a no-brainer especially when aiming for a female target audience, Madoka is getting a new movie soon so just maybe it would click and SpyFam is a great excuse for Korntent™. The "others" section for Anime includes Vanitas no Carte, Princess Principal, Dantalian no Shoka, Youjo Senki, Shokei Shoujo no Virgin Road, Vampire Hunter D and Gosick. Almost all of them are too expensive for Bluepoch to get the license or too obscure for the average person but one can dream. For SpyFam I'm a basic bitch and I know that Yor, Loid and Fiona will sell, and I think they're good characters too so I don't mind. For BSD I went with Kunikida, Izumi and Dostoyevskiy, although I can already guess that Osamu Dazai is a given. For SG I went with Kurisu, Suzuha and Ruka, and given the reception of MedPoc or Ezra I don't think the last one should be an issue. For Madoka I went with Mami, Homura and Kyouko. I honestly couldn't think of a suitable TV/movie franchise and I wish I did. "Man in the High Castle" and things like that are not my favourites. Maybe Star Gate or The Mummy for the lulz. Games were actually harder, because most of that is stuff that I didn't play or stuff that just doesn't fit at all. At one point I considered classic Wolfenstein but they would certainly try to make it about the reboot. I chose these based on my very limited knowledge and couldn't pick a single character for obvious reasons. I was tempted to vote for The Witcher only to back out at the last second because I'm pretty damn sure that they would not hire the Polish voice actors and they were great. Everyone is telling me how Rusty Lake would be the other most suitable collab but I'm completely unfamiliar with the whole franchise(?). The "others" section for games includes BioShock, Mafia, L.A. Noire, Disco Elysium, Command & Conquer: Red Alert and The Order: 1886. I have my doubts about Mafia as they would probably base it on the Hangar 13 games instead of the 2K ones, but alas. Maybe you'd get Schneider and Pavia content this way. As for 1886, I still think that it's not a good game, but it had good aesthetics and, how I'd put it, "convincing". Surface-level lore was great and the characters were quite solid. Blogpost over.
new launcher btw
>>888374 Yeah, it was bound to happen so I also just voted for my favorites. I don't think it matters anyway since CN will outvote us 100%
>>889870 >I don't think it matters anyway since CN will outvote us 100% I wouldn't be *that*
fuck pressed too early I wouldn't be *that* pessimistic for once, Bluepoch just has to acknowledge that it's Global who's more familiar with western and westaboo franchises, unless it's money speaks and only that, if so then start saving for Sakiko lol.
>>886724 >>888374 Imma be real with you Chiefs: 33% of me doesn't care; the other 33% doesn't know half of the shit there (that's why I was genuinely asking); and the last 33% thinks that they fit the same as AC, nothing, but ey if you left half your brain out, it worked out. So Limbus company it is, and fate, cause r1999 is literally the same plot as fgo but completely different aesthetics and themes.
>>889779 For shows, I went with DW(10th and 11th), S:G (Suzuha, Ruka, and Kurisu), Detective Conan (I want a Detective Vertin chapter ) with Revue Starlight and Kino no Tabi as the Others pick. With the games I was a bit stumped as the ones in the list that I've played weren't really a good fit for R:1999 so I just went fuck it and went with Expedition 33 since it would be a Duck event for sure and added Valkyrie Profile(RIP), VtM:B, and Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura on the Others list.
53 pulls and a Jessica spook from the free decatone. I got excited for a moment there...
So how good is Alexios, should I use that doodad that upgrades any 5* to I3L1 instantly on him or Bkorn?
>>897970 >how good is Alexios? Hard to tell yet but currently it looks like he wants the full AC team to work properly. >instantly on him or Bkorn? Bkorn/Yeni/Name Day/Loggerhead/Necro/Matilda. These are the highest value 5*s right now.
>>898111 Only full AC team? That's a shame, I'm skipping Kassandra. I was thinking about Bkorn because I like her, I've heard she's a good debuffer and I don't think I need another sustain currently.

>>898147 >After an allied attack triggers [Assassination], gains Adrenaline +1. >After an allied attack triggers [Assassination], if there are other [Assassination] characters on the team, 5% chance to cast Ultimate, up to 1 time per round; if Kassandra is on the team, the chance is increased to 10%. He relies on other allies scoring Assassinations and doesn't have a good source of it himself. Kassandra is the best source, better than Ezio. Outside of that he can AFK to autocast his ult once every 4 turns (at p2 but you get p5 for free anyway). and if you're actively using his spells, he gets +1/2/4 out of 8 required per a rank 1/2/3 incantation, so, idk, maybe with Liang and other characters who can technically rank-up for their allies he can shine in theory, but it's a very specific team that is better off without him. If you like the glowie then feel free, she may not be BiS anywhere but sees use in Reveries and some specific stages here and there, definitely a good character to carry you through lower levels. She's also very cute and has good voice actresses in all versions.
>>898186 I don't know the interaction of Moxie gain with Adrenaline, but if f.e. Melania can give him +2 Adrenaline per turn or more, then he can become decent, although there would still be better options.
>>898221 I've heard all AC characters just ignore passion drain
>Secret code >Walks in the front door The fuck am I reading John...

IMPROMPTU WATCHALONG #11 ALERT About 22 hours until the next watchalong and this time, as the only movie even remotely related to AC: Odyssey, it's "300". Yes, the movie from which her ult quote comes from and the one that reinforced a very bad stereotype about Spartan soldiers. But fear not, since the list of Ancient Greek movies is surprisingly short and Troy (director's cut) is too long to do it as the 2nd movie we'll do The Name of The Rose as a semi-throwback to the Italian setting. It's an actually good movie for once, at least! Also were just about to do a watchalong of the interview with Isolde's EN VA. As usual you'll see another post once we'll get closer to the screening. See you tomorrow! (or today for Europeans)
(684.06 KB 1844x3012 kassandra 30 08.jpg)

IMPROMPTU WATCHALONG #11 IN ABOUT 40 MINUTES As promised, to commemorate Kassandra's release, today we're serving "300", but also to keep up with the generally better received Italian part of the collab, 2nd course is "The Name of The Rose". Two known movies with at least one of them being good! https://cytu.be/r/inside_the_suitcase
