Native ads seem to have all but deserted old Kotaku. Whether this has anything to do with the bankruptcy I can't say, but is definitely possible. Modified banner ads labeled as "sponsored content" and a shitload of Amazon shilling links seem to be their main source of ad income now. Seriously Kotaku, fucking hipster shoes? That's what you're hawking on your vidya website? The articles attacking Palmer Lucky and his gf are prominently crosslinked across a variety of Kotaku articles, most of which are by our old friends Plunkett and Hernandez. The more I noticed the correlation, the more I felt like this was all some petty vindictiveness on Kotaku's part. Oh, and Gawk… err, Gizmodo are being some salty little cunts about the Trump/Hillary debate tonight too. Enjoy the bonus, and as they say… WELCOME TO HELL!
And here's a bonus. Man this is some deja-vu. Daily Beast looks almost exactly how Gawker did when we first started targeting them with DISNOD: Big, juicy, direct banner ads from high profile companies, with a light smattering of rotating ad banners from a generic provider (Taboola in Gawker's case, mostly Outbrain here). Its like a pristine wilderness of ads to feast on, and not the bombed-out hellscape of Gawker with hidden links and ad services that point to dead ends everywhere. This chicken is ripe for the plucking, if anons have the autism.
