This FAQ will try to solve most of your questions before you dare to enter the threads. >What is this board about? /hga/ serves as the bunker for the Hunger Games community of 4chan when the site goes down temporarily or permanently. Here they all gather to have a fun time and chill. The origin of the community comes from a simulator created by Brantsteele based on the Hunger Games franchise that became quite popular during late 2015 and early 2016 in 4chan's /b/. The rest is history as they say. This site is meant to be a temporary solution to the issues, not a complete replacement unless the situation calls for it. >What's with the roleplay? As the community grew so too did their members and their imagination, what originally started as funny interactions of people about the actions of their tributes in the simulator slowly evolved into roleplay which in turn led to the birth of a mostly freeform roleplay community and setting taking place in a melting pot simply called "The Arena", where the characters or "avatars" of the players interact with one another and form alliances or bitter rivalries. Shenanigans ensue, and some people attempt to write it into semi-coherent narratives, playing the part of the characters within. >This is autistic, isn't? Very. But it's what has kept the community alive ever since then and when it migrated and split into different branches. Not all of them have a focus on roleplay nor is it looked down on those who refrain from doing so. Everyone is welcome to join.
