السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته I have no idea who to approach for this, so I will do so here and may Allah reward whoever comes to this dead board and gives me a response. Who wrote the Islamic poem "Debate between the sword and the pen"? The translation by at-Tibyan attributes it to Zayn al-Dīn ‘Umar ibn al-Wirdī and says shaykh Faris az-Zahrani (Abū Jandal al-Azdī) "wrote" it, so what does this mean? Who wrote this poem originally? What did shaykh Faris add to it? How old is this poem? Here is the page archived so you may read it and have an answer in sha' Allah. https://archive.ph/SV3DX
