Two of the latest ones, and they are both so heavily censored in every outdoors scene I am not sure why they decided to include these at all. I get that they need to blur/censor faces and licence plates, but why go to this extreme? Is this due to a new law being passed, or is it just certain production companies who do this to cover their asses?
BOKO-019 thankfully takes place on a train mostly, so it is not so extensive, but MEYD-938 has a lot of set-up scenes early on outdoors, and the cinematography and visuals is entirely wasted when everything around the two actresses is blurred almost beyond recognition. One scene in particular, at a Shintō shrine, has the two actresses walking down a long walkway, and you only see two tiny figures and 98% of the screen is blurred. It feels like such a waste to ruin the set-up in this manner. Afterwards, the only scenes that stuck in my mind, were the ones ruined by this excessive censor blur.

A recent title like BBAN-534 does not appear to have the same excessive blur in outdoor scenes, so I hope it is done only by a very few studios, or for certain locations. Some of the locations in those above did not strike me as something that needed to be censored however, so I am not at all sure what is the reason for this nonsense.
