Yes, but a simple fact is that Jokic is taller and can take up more defensive space by default and so has a wider margin of error, plus the whole team turned up the defensive intensity from the regular season to the playoffs as you mentioned. I don't know if Luka has that extra gear on defense. He can develop it though.
If Luka can win as a Laker with his current playstyle it will change how everyone approaches team building, I think.

True, though for that season they were ranked 6th defensively and 1st offensively, so it would've fit the standard league pattern more than other Morey teams.
